  1. ^ Yeah, back in 1992 I waited in a 45-minute line to ride Flashback. It is a novel concept; however, the trains have the wrong type of restraints. As has been said many times, a modified lap bar would keep riders perfectly safe and eliminate the painful shoulder and head banging. I've said, too, that if Flashback were enclosed inside of a building with some sort of theme, it would improve the overall experience greatly. Eric
  2. I don't know where I've been, but I finally stumbled across this---and I like it! Eric
  3. Today I ate...a banana. Eric
  4. Yes. Have you driven or ridden in a Rolls-Royce?
  5. "Posted: Tue Jan 23, 2007 1:42 pm...You do have to keep in mind that Flashback last operated in 2003..." (KraxleRIDAH) I've always heard that about April 2003 was when Flashback last operated. Now, I don't know if I didn't look hard enough, but where can I read the original notice about Psyclone and Flashback biting the dust? Eric
  6. No one put "Diabetic." I guess I'd be a diabetic omnivore, since I eat meat, veggies, whatever---though in moderation. Eric
  7. ...all of a sudden, a new JCPenney store opened down at the corner! Eric
  8. ^ Fresh. < Has one kid. V Has one tooth!
  9. The last time I was at the Boardwalk was in October 1999. Time to go back! The Giant Dipper proves that you don't need to build a 200 ft. tall wooden coaster to make it good. Dipper's 70 ft. works just fine and there's plenty of good airtime, too. Eric
  10. ^ Common sense. But there are people who actually don't get any of that. My rant for the day...I'm tired, cold, and just feel...blah for some reason. Eric
  11. There go your cookies... Eric
  12. ^ Doesn't write very well. < Does write well. V Doesn't smell very well!
  13. I used to in high school, but not anymore. Do you know how far the nearest Scion xB is to your house?
  14. I'm surprised that Ventura County doesn't have one yet. But, give it time... Eric
  15. Stewart's Diet Orange Cream Soda. Good stuff. Eric
  16. ^ I'd rather go outside and get some fresh air. Eric
  17. Nothing alcoholic. Do you like eating fish?
  18. "...my husband got the credit and broke his neck... good riddance" (lapseofreason) I trust you mean "good riddance" to Psyclone and not your hubby! Eric
  19. Funnel cakes funnel flab to your abs! Eric
  20. Sadly, Psyclone was a lot of fun when it first opened, but between the wear and tear of too-heavy trains and some earthquake damage, it just got worse and worse. Eric
  21. ^ Has been to Dorney. < Has never been to Dorney, but has ridden Flashback. V Is a "has been!"
  22. ^ I'm sure both of the people who show up would have a good time! Eric
  23. I haven't heard anything about attractions, but it sounds like Cedar Fair is getting set to drop the "Paramount" part of the name at several parks. Eric
  24. A Thomas the Tank Engine monorail, perhaps? Sounds like it could be similar to the Seuss Trolley ride at IoA. If any of you have ridden that, it's more or less a monorail style track with dual rails on top. Psyclone and Flashback are biting the dust, huh? Well, good. My last rides on both were incredibly painful and far from enjoyable. Sad to say, though, that Psyclone was actually very good when it opened. It just hasn't been properly taken care of and had the wrong trains on it. I know some of you were in favor of paving the place, but I think the park has the potential to become a great family park. And the more families that come, the fewer gangbanger types will be there. That's just an observation of mine, but I believe it to be true. There is fun beyond a whole flock of roller coasters. Eric
