  1. ^ The Bat opened in 1981, I believe, and XLR-8 opened in 1984. Also, I think The Bat was already closed by the time XLR-8 opened. Eric
  2. ^ Just throwing it up in his face, huh? Eric
  3. On my one and only ride on Rhino Rally, I got to be the navigator. But no one yelled at me! Eric
  4. ^^ FAIL!!! I did answer your question... "Yep. Napkins are his stationery and ketchup is his topping!" Anyway, Armegeddon will be caused by high gasoline prices and lousy fast food. How long should gum hold its flavor?
  5. I remember seeing footage about Kings Island's Bat way back in 1981 and thinking what a great ride it must be. Then I heard nothing more and all of my searching turned up nothing. Then along came ACE and its publications, and, of course, the Internet. I wish I could have ridden The Bat. It looked pretty intense. Eric
  6. I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside when I was at WDW in October 2006. I'd stay there again; it was a very nice property and very close to Epcot. Your wonderful Photo TR makes me want to go back. Eric
  7. Flight Deck---The Afterburn. Eric
  8. ^ There should be one. Mine is 17 now, but I could have used a manual then---well, heck, I could use one now! Eric

  10. Went to leave my resume at another agency, went to Diana's school to talk to her counselor, went home, went to lunch, went to bed, hit my head, couldn't get up in the morning! Eric
  11. ^ Lives in Kentucky. < Has never been to Kentucky. V Would totally "do" the Kentucky Colonel!
  12. We will in a week... Have you tried Hot Buttered Popcorn flavored Jelly Bellys?
  13. Yep. Napkins are his stationery and ketchup is his topping! Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
  14. Clubs/drinking + Age 17 = FAIL!!! Just my two cents' as a dad... Eric
  15. It got old and was mercifully yanked from TV---unfortunately not forever. What am I supposed to do with extra packets of ketchup or hot sauce?
  16. Because even Indianans deserve Christmas gifts. Why do some kids rebel against their parents?
  17. No, I haven't seen that. Do you change your own oil?
  18. Some of the gel is leaking out of my wrist guard by the keyboard. Eric
  19. ^ With all due respect, we do take care of spammers quite well at Westcoaster. Just saying... Eric
  20. All of you are right, but what about an unexpected closure? Those do happen. Besides, an electronic sign can also advertise new attractions, shows, etc. Eric
  21. This may be a question for Jay, but what about an electronic sign placed near the freeway to warn would-be guests that the park isn't open? Some parks have one. And there's already the big Six Flags California sign out there for the gift shop next to I-5, so it might be a logical place to incorporate that. This would be a way to keep anyone wanting to visit from getting off and driving all the way to at least as far as the toll plaza only to find that the park is closed. And it doesn't have to be only for bad weather. A number of things could close the park. A private party. Filming a commercial, TV show, or movie, etc. Just an idea. Eric
  22. Glad y'all liked the Magic Mountain map. Now I'm inspired to dig out my Busch Gardens Van Nuys maps! And I have a map from Japanese Village somewhere---probably in with the Busch Gardens ones. Eric
  23. ^ Your hip's bothering you? That isn't supposed to happen till you get to be...my age! Eric
  24. Here's my contribution to Shane's attic. The map is a bit dirty, but remember that it's 37 years old. Eric Page 2 of 1971 Magic Mountain park brochure Page 1 of 1971 Magic Mountain park brochure
  25. No, nada, never in my life. Do you count the number of cars on passing trains?
