Question about the Tax Rebate that is coming to Taxpayers
ebl replied to spaceace12's topic in Random, Random, Random
Any money the government sends us, we will spend...wisely. Or invest in the future. Or save up for taxes to be paid later. Or whatever. Eric -

I don't like hot coffee, so I sure wouldn't like it cold... Does your car get over 20 miles per gallon?

One takes eight letters to spell its name, and one only needs three. If you mixed Coke from In-N-Out with Coke from Del Taco, would it still taste the same? -
One of my possible job offers ended up not working out. I hope that's not a sign of things to come. Eric

Yep. In fact, there are things I still laugh at things six years later! Those fall into my "stupid-and-a-half" category. If someone in England asked you to open the boot of your car, would you know what they meant?

To me it looks like a giant bar graph. Eric

X2 Trains Arrive At SFMM

I don't think they'll bill it as "new," but rather "improved" or "upgraded." And I'm sure there will be a media day when it reopens. Eric -
^ Times have changed. I rented my first car when I was "only" 21. The only problem I had was when the Model T backfired and spooked the horses! Eric

I read this on the flier for the West Coast Bash: "Parking is $15 per car. Six Flags can also upgrade your season pass to include parking at all theme parks. At the toll plaza, ticket booths, or guest relations inside the park you can upgrade your season pass to include parking for $50 per pass. Remember season pass parking is valid at all Six Flags theme parks." I already have the Xtreme Play Pass. Does that mean I could go to, say, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and park for free? Or is there a special upgrade that I still need? Eric

X2 Trains Arrive At SFMM
ebl replied to Jhcbiinoc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only thing I care about is whether the ride will be in fact smoother. That's why I stopped riding X. Tim Burkhart did tell me that the new trains will have padding under where your legs go to help absorb the impact, so maybe that'll improve things. Eric -
What if Staples Center was held together with...staples? Eric

My last ride on Viper (October 2006) was surprisingly smooth. (For some reason, I think it was the yellow-striped train.) I was taken by surprise on that ride because previous ones made me think twice about ever getting on it again. Glad to hear it's running decently now. Maybe I'll try it at WCB if I go. Eric

He's really Satan. Just mix up the letters in his name... Why did Kumba break down before I could ride it when I visited Busch Gardens in 2002? -
Yes, we used to win a bit in office lottery pools (just never the big one!). Do you like bacon on your burger?

TPR's *BIG* Six Flags Magic Mountain Update!

^ That's one way to get your RDA of iron! I've been saying it forever. A good balance of flat rides, coasters, and various other attractions makes for a good family park. Circus Wheel and Sierra Twist are coming out---new flat rides in those spots would be the perfect replacement. The old Crazy Barrel location, hidden behind that basketball game (or whatever's there now) is also a good choice. Freefall's leaving; a taller drop tower ride would work there. And I still like the idea of a Starflyer on top of the mountain, though I'm not sure where it could actually go and not interfere with what's up there now. As restaurants go, it's clear that Mooseburger Lodge is SFMM's premier dining establishment now, but at one time it was the Four Winds Steakhouse (in what is the now-closed Laughing Dragon Pizza place in Samurai Summit). I still think a good Japanese teppan grill restaurant (think "Benihana") would be a great fit. Those are very popular and can be quite good. Eric -
I didn't see this anywhere, but I wanted to wish Jahan a happy 19th birthday. Eric

No. The one I decided never to ride again met its demise earlier this month. The other one is being refurbished with new paint, new trains, and a "2" added to its name, so I'll at least give it a chance. Would you buy a homeless person a meal at fill in favorite restaurant if they approached and said they were hungry?

^ I have two palm trees in my front yard, so if I want tropical, I just go outside! Eric

^ That's what we were told. In theory, that will shave 43 seconds from the cycle. And we will not get the dropping floor. Eric
