PART 2 - SHANGHAI SIGHTSEEING! The next morning I was up and on my way to China! Upon arriving in Shanghai I was prepared for a hellish wait and process to get through security and so was pleasantly surprised to find one of the easiest airport security arrivals I’d ever been through. I guess maybe all the tough work was done at the stage where you get the Visa or something. Anyway, I got my bag and made my way through the airport to see someone holding a card with my name on it. Elissa had arranged a driver to take me to the first hotel (I was meeting the TPR Beijing Tour participants the next day) and this was my first real experience of what China’s roads are like. In a word, crazy. I’ve never seen people with less regard for their own or other vehicles. The driver was obviously well experienced at it though as he darted his way between cars, cones, stray dogs and any other obstacles that got in his way. The hotel was awesome, this was a something to get used to on the China Tour, Elissa is great at choosing hotels and there were some of the best I’ve stayed at on this trip. After settling into the hotel I met up with Russ and Stacey who had also arrived in Shanghai early and did a little sightseeing around the city. The next day the whole tour group arrived and we headed off for more sightseeing and our first credit of the trip! CDG airport is made marginally more tolerable when you start your morning with a traditional French McDonald’s breakfast! On to Shanghai! This will be home for the next half a day... We hovered over the marshmallow fluff for a very long time. At last, I made it to Shanghai! It's filled with some crazy big buildings! Here’s the “Bottle Opener”, we ventured up for a look around. At the bottom there’s this really cool model of the city. Check that view! Oh yeah, Russ and Stacey were here too! Lights and stuff. I’ll be back to see this one day! Hands down best view you could ever legally get whilst taking a leak. A great way to finish my first night in Shanghai! The next morning we met up with the rest of the tour and head out to this thing! Going up? The viewing level in AB Tower gave a great look at the city. Hey, I was just there! Hey Russ, where’s our hotel?? Love that smog! It’s a glass floor. I’m contractually obliged to take this photo. Shang-high! Oooh, what’s this?? Yay, a credit! When I took my seat I saw this abandoned pair of tights in the loose articles tray. I’m not sure I want to know the story behind them... If you’re a fan of playing cards then Shanghai has any fetish catered for. Aha! My first Chinese McDonald’s! And what a first it was! These “Black & White” burgers were really cool! The Bubble Tea was rank though. More big buildings. Remember what I said about the roads? Yeah, stuff like this happens all the time. Now this is exciting – Maglev! I feel like the train is looking at me. Laq gives the Maglev two interlocking claws up. This thing’s fast! Tonight’s meal was served on a BOAT! Over here they just call it food. After dinner some of us took a late night boat ride to see the city. I think we may have bought them out of beer. The riverfront of the city looks pretty cool at night. Here’s Larry getting ripped off for a dodgy laser pen. And that was my introduction to Shanghi! China’s a weird place and I didn’t always love it but it sure was interesting! Up next – something somewhat resembling a theme park!
-
Thanks, Larry. That does make me feel better. The Doritos count is currently at 100. I've decided that if I go to DLP this year for Ratatouille I'm going to try and go on a weekday in the hope that the place might be tolerable to visit!

Bet you never expected to see this! I wasn’t going to post this as I figured it had been too long but here it is. I actually wrote this TR quite a while back and it’s been sitting in Word gathering dust for a long time. I was talking with Scottish Steve recently and he convinced me that at the very least he wanted to read this still, so hopefully there’s one or two others who will want to read this too. Hey, if Chuck can generate some interest from a 2006 TPR Trip report in 2014 then 2012 should be alright too, right? Okay, here goes. I’ll try and post an update a day for the next couple of weeks. --- UPDATES: Part 1 – DISNEYLAND PARIS (Below) Part 2 - SHANGHAI SIGHTSEEING Part 3 - SHANGHAI CREDIT WHORING Part 4 - MORE SHANGHAI CREDIT WHORING Part 5 - HAPPY VALLEY SHANGHAI Part 6 - GIANT WHEEL PARK Part 7 - WORLD JOYLAND Part 8 - DINOSAUR PARK Part 9 - GUANGZHOU CREDIT WHORING Part 10 - CHIMELONG PARADISE Part 11 - CHUANLORD HOLIDAY MANOR Part 12 - KNIGHT VALLEY Part 13 - WINDOW OF THE WORLD Part 14 - HAPPY VALLEY SHENZHEN Part 15 - OCEAN PARK Part 16 - HONG KONG SIGHTSEEING Part 17 - HONG KONG DISNEYLAND --- For the sixth straight year I embarked upon another TPR adventure, this year it was to China! But before I made it to China I took a stop at Disneyland Paris on the way... Now I only really went to DLP because of the way my flight schedule worked out. It was a hot Saturday in September so I knew the place would be bust and was prepared to not ride much, but still this day sucked. I’ve never been in a place so busy in my life. Especially the Studios park. That place was just a joke – it took me two hours to get on Tower and that was WITH a Fast Pass! I actually just spent most of my time walking around and drinking beer and this was a total bonus visit because of my flights so I mustn't complain too much. Plus the new fireworks show, Dreams is sensational. The things they did with the castle projections were unbelievable. Worth visiting DLP for that alone! Just don’t do it on a Saturday! Alright, here’s the photos... It wasn’t a good idea. 45 minutes was the shortest wait I saw in this park. This was my first look at the new Toy Story land. It looks nice even if the attractions themselves aren’t anything spectacular. 80 minutes single rider? I’ll get this pseudo-credit next time, thanks. Goodbye Toy Story land. Ratatouille already looks better than anything in this park. I look forward to coming back to check this out! Who needs Radiator Springs Racers when you can have this? Crush’s Coaster money shot. I didn't ride. The reason will become apparent in the next photo. This is the end of the line for Crush. I figured I wouldn’t encounter any place busier today. I was wrong. Weird and intriguing menu items do not make up for the fact that this McDonald’s is horrendous. Okay, hopefully this place will be a little less crazy! Doesn’t look too crowded so far. Certainly better than the other park. (Note: It was still horrendously crowded) OMG, Disney Popcorn! Here's the "Regular" flavour cart. Ah, Phantom Manor! At a 60 minute wait you just might be my best bet! Spooky! Phantom Manor is always cool. I love how they mix the western stuff in with the traditional Haunted Mansion. Next up I stared at Big Thunder. Three hours is a bit too long to wait to ride. I wouldn’t get on this if it was a walk on so I’m certainly not waiting in this! Oh cool, there’s the regular flavoured popcorn! If you ever wondered what French urine smells like have a sniff around in here. Alice’s Maze thing is cool but I can do without waiting in that. Good thing there’s more of that amazing regular flavoured popcorn to keep you going through the crowds. Even with the park crazy busy they aren’t letting anyone near EO. I did take this busy day opportunity to finally check out the 20,000 Leagues sub walkthrough. Exciting stuff. It’s actually pretty cool to walk through but I was just reminded of DisneySea by it and so it pales in comparison. Rather than put on some kind of show in the Videopolis (or whatever it’s called) they just show cartoons on a loop now. I’ll see you soon! 120 minutes for Buzz. Pass. At least this bloody place sells beer!! Highlight of the day! Okay, time to try this again. At least I had a Fast Pass for Tower in my pocket that I had picked up in the morning. Still looking pretty busy... Good thing I’ll be able to bypass this queue, right?? I mean, look how crazy it is! Two hours later I finally got on. (WITH a Fast pass!) Two of the shafts looked like this. Seriously, why the hell are two shafts closed on a Saturday when the park is rammed to the max?? F this place. Eve, please get me away from here! 70 minutes for Pirates. At this point I gave in and just waited it out. Woe is me. At least I didn’t have to line up for this guy. Yeah, still pretty busy. Everyone is trying to make sure they get some of that regular popcorn before they run out. Finally, something worth visiting DLP for! Despite all my complaints about this day I was BLOWN AWAY by their new fireworks show. This is now my favourite Disney fireworks show in the world. (TDS Fantasmic doesn't count as a fireworks show, right??) The castle projections are terrific. Plus, anything with this amount of fire is instantly good in my book. So this day at DLP kind of sucked. But I hadn’t expected it to be great. It’s a risk you run when you visit this place on a Saturday in the middle of September. But hey, it was on my way to China so it’s all good! Plus those fireworks were awesome! Okay, now that’s out the way stay tuned for China itself! The way my flights worked out I had a spare day in Paris so figured I’d spend the day here.

How good has this season been?! I don;t necessarily think it was a great move from Tony to take out LJ but it certainly made for some great viewing. I'm trying to figure out if there's any way Tony can win now. I guess it all depends on whether he can get Trish back on board but he's got to take out Spencer soon if he's to make a run at it.

Wow, that's a really sucky day. Reading this makes me more thankful for the day we had on the TPR tour in 2011 when we got to ride most of the coasters - I can only imagine how pissed you'd be at what you encountered. I still can't get my head around how such a place exists in Japan, luckily for you things are only gonna get better now, Rick! -
I'm enjoying these three weeks where there's only a four time difference between the UK and the US, means I can watch the show at midnight rather than 1am! This has been a really fun season so far. The brains tribe were shocking, but made for some great TV. J'Tia has to be up there with the worst players ever. Finding myself rooting for Spencer and Sarah, I hope they can both go deep. Was cool how the tribe swap played out - the brains tribe has went from worst to best position in the game. I always say that in a three tribe game that sucking in those early challenges is actually a good thing (as long as you don't get voted out!), look at Denise and Malcolm in season 25 too - they got all the way to the end because these bigger tribes were desperate to take out each other when the merge/switch happened. Fair play to the editors this season too, i was convinced LJ was done when he didn't play his idol last night. I was pleasantly surprised to see Cliff go. Hope the season keeps up this high standard!
-
I saw Saving Mr Banks last night. Tom Hanks is great in it - I didn't expect to but I really bought his portrayal of Walt Disney. Emma Thompson is terrific in it and there's a really good supporting cast around them. Was really cool seeing both the Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland dressed up to look like 1961! Overall the film is very good, it maybe drags a little in the middle and there's flashback sequences to 1906 in Australia which slow down the narrative at points but really I think Disney fans are gonna eat this up.

Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread
Divv3k replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Building a Tokyo-themed Cars area in Tokyo isn't too weird an idea given that Disney are currently building a Paris-themed Ratatouille area at Disney Studios Paris. I'm interested to see what route TDR goes down. Whatever it is you know it will be amazing! -
To finish our weekend away we of course spent the day at Europa Park! Having not been since 2008 there were quite a few new things here for me to do, such as Wodan and Blue Fire. I was really impressed with them both. Not only the rides but the theming around them (Wodan’s queue is brilliant). But it’s not just those two – the whole park is just incredible. The park absolutely cemented its place as my favourite park in Europe. I just can’t believe I left it so long between visits! I won’t leave it so long next time! Here’s some photos... A bright and early start for Hotel guest early admission at Europa Park! Mike's putting on a brave face. He really feels like death at this point. Nothing like some Blue Fire to wake you up in the morning! Mack prove with this that can do launch coasters as good as anyone. The ride has a bit of a "Maverick" feel at some points. Of course Blue Fire isn't the only thing around here that's new... It's Wodan! Wodan has one of the best queues I've seen since Dueling Dragons. Seriously, just awesome. I think everyone is starting to wake up now... Being a GCI fan, I really liked this! To Asgard! And for the people who were too hungover to take a shower... Here you go! Look at this photo. Remind yourself of the theme tune. Keep thinking about it. Think about it some more. There! The song is stuck in your head for the rest of the day! Now go dance around like these two! Hi Euro-Mir, it's me! Europa Park may be known for it's awesome coasters and theming but for Dave it's all about the lamppost dark ride! Seriously, he BEGGED us to ride this! Another shot from inside the Lamp Post Ride just for Dave. The Bobsled is always a test of how comfortable your friendship with your travel companions actually is. Oh yeah, they have a B&M hyper here too! In a park with some great rides like Wodan and Blue Fire it's easy to forget Silver Star exists! But still, whilst not the park's stand out attraction, Silver Star is absolutely worth a ride! Who wants to see some lesbian dinosaurs? The lesbian dinosaur energy in this ride is palpable. Moo. Normally I'm not a fan of a wild mouse but I LOVE Europa Park's! Mike is feeling the mid-day lull. I wish Europa would make an effort at theming their trains. "Everyone stand under the horse's arse so I can get a photo!" Not content with just one splash boat ride, Europa Park has two! As well as a pretty lengthy "coaster" section, Poseidon has a good splash down section too. It's just a shame the water guns here weren't working when I took this! This is what you call the Europa Park "Money Shot", all the rides are in action. Just a shame about the clouds! Eat this, Tangled Toilets! Just in case you needed a reminder at how incredibly themed this place is! Raclette for lunch! Yum! Dave went for all the fixings with his. Pretzel donut! Continuing the food theme, some of us tried out the French bakers and found Milka cupcakes! Sadly, we did not try this guy's pizza. Stop horsing around, Russ. Mike made a balls up of the bumper cars. I love Europa's absolutely shameless Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion rip offs. They're pretty good! Welcome to Russland. Home of all things tall. See?! Yay, Scandi! Uh oh! Danger shot! Soak it up, Russ! If you don't get wet on the rapids then the bridge at the ride's exit will get the job done! It's a powered coaster. Mike insisted we ride. Missed out on the awesome coaster/log flume combo shot again... There was only one place we wanted to finish our Germany trip... Wodan! It was running even better later in the day. Not the best GCI out there by any means but it's still really good and I'm in awe of how well the park operate it! It's Brit Crew European weekends go, this one was an uncharacteristic raging success! We clearly need to come back to Germany more often! And that's it from our German adventure. It was a great weekend. We really need to do weekends in Germany more often - Europa Park really is one of the best parks int he world. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!

Great move to get rid of the only other credible threat to win - I think Cochran just locked it up. Dawn has all the blood on her hands, Eddie has done nothing the whole game, Erik is in a similar boat and Sherri has been a sheep since the merge. I reckon Eddie and Erik will go on Sunday with a Dawn, Sherri and Cochran final three. Even if Eddie gets there I think Cochran wins. I still only see Eddie potentially getting Reynold's vote, Malcolm's at a push (I still think he'll vote for Cochran). Apart from three boring episodes pre-merge this has been a brilliant season for unpredictability.
-
I saw Star Trek Into Darkness last night and was thoroughly disappointed. Maybe casual fans will love it but all it did was infuriate me at every turn. It lacked a lot of the laughs of the previous outing as well. Iron Man 3 on the other hand, I thought was brilliant and brought the laughs in bucketloads too!
-
Thanks for the comments, everyone! It truly was a crazy night! Yeah, I would say Colosseo is the best bar, well at least for weirdness and wackiness. I really liked the main bar at Hotel Bell Rock too. Really nice atmosphere and loads of model planes hanging from the ceiling. I think if I was to stay at any other hotel on the resort I'd want to try Bell Rock first.
-
Wow, what a turnaround this season! Since the merge this show continues to be pure gold! I still think Malcolm made a huge mistake the night he played the two idols. He really should have tried more to make the main alliance turn on each other. Telling them they were voting for Phillip made it easy for the rest of them to stay on the same side. I see where you're coming from but I'd hate to think that would be the case. Andrea and Malcolm at the very least should be appreciate that Eddie has played zero game this season despite how much they might like him. Andrea's reaction to her boot gives me hope that she's not bitter about being voted out was beaten by a better play. It may be through tinted specs but I now can't see past a Cochran victory - which would make me happy!
-
Since we were visiting Europa Park there was no way we could go and NOT stay at the amazing Hotel Colosseo at the resort. I stayed here in 2008 and fell in love with the place. Absolutely one of my favourite hotels in the world. And of course with this being a Brit Crew weekend it would be remiss of me not to include photos of our night out drinking! Our original plans involved just having a few quiet drinks in the hotel bar. But then we decided that it would be worth checking out the Bell Rock hotel which had opened since my last visit here. On the walk to this hotel I had the amazing/terrible idea that we might want to try drinking in every hotel in the resort this evening It's worth saying that ALL the hotels at Europa Park are awesome, and here's why... Hooray! After almost five years I'm back at the incredible Hotel Colosseo! Woohoo! We're at Hotel Colosseo! Just to give you an idea of how awesome the rooms at this hotel are. Just to give you an idea of how awesome a visit to this hotel these guys had. Mirror porn! Time to go out exploring the Europa Park resort! Our first stop is the new Hotel Bell Rock! First bar of the evening! Mike does his best to blend in with the locals. Here's an idea - why don't we try and drink in every hotel in the resort? The lighthouse tower at Bell Rock contains some very fancy looking suites. Dave's gonna book us into there next time. Hotel Bell Rock has a fancy fountain/fire show. Just like World of Color! Next up - Hotel El Andaluz and Hotel Castillo Alcazar (They share an entrance) For Hotel Alcazar we took the lift up to Bar Buena Vista Club! Gimme some booze! Great view from up in this bar! Two hotels down, three to go! Hotel Castillo Alcazar has some awesome theming in the hallways! Here's the booze selection at Hotel El Andaluz! But it's a Piña colada or nothing for Mike. I LOVE that Europa Park are still using these messed up glasses! Three hotels down, two to go! Mike added a little Mexican to his life in El Andaluz. If only we'd restricted it to ONE drink in each hotel! Our fourth hotel is Hotel Santa Isabel. Right away we could tell that finding booze here might be a problem... No booze down here. No booze in here either... We couldn't find any booze up the stairs. But we did find this awesome tiger picture. No booze in our chairs. Not even any booze behind this ancient bookcase! We were about to admit defeat in our endeavour to drink in every hotel. And then we found this monk! The monk hooked us up with a bottle of wine that we drank in the lobby! (Seriously!) Four hotels out of five! James has been very bad this evening. Last hotel! We KNOW we can booze here! Credits! The upstairs bar in Colosseo was bouncing! The tiny toilet is still, well... tiny. Mike likes his beer with extra candle. Apparently this is how you drink beer in the Midlands. Confession couldn't keep these guys out of jail! Mike, Mike, Mike. We finish our night of boozing out in the viewing area of Hotel Colosseo! Don't tell Mike we're getting up at 7am. WE DID IT! We drank in all five hotels at Europa Park! Ain't we awesome? We certainly didn't feel awesome the next morning! But still, this was one really fun night at the Europa Park Resort and really opened my eyes to the quality of ALL the hotels on the property! Europa Park is up next!

^ I could never work it out! Though to be fair, you don't really need to ask questions of such things - just appreciate that they exist!

Seeing as it's nearly five years since the sheer awesomeness that was the 2008 TPR Europe trip I felt that a return to some of the best parks in Germany was in order. So I was able to round up a few Brit Crew cohorts to take a weekend and head out to the land of Bratwurst and beer... Our first park was Holiday Park. The park has changed hands since I last visited and it's now in the hands of the Plopsa group. Now this hasn't resulted in a great deal of changes that I could see but the work they've done on the entrance area of the park is great. It really looks nice and if they keep up with this level of theming as they maintain the park it's only gonna be a good thing. Of course, the reason that you visit Holiday Park is Expedition GeForce! It's awesome, but if you're reading this trip report you probably already know that. Rest assured however, it's STILL awesome! Alright, here we go... Oh dear lord, that's a lot of Ryanair! Oh dear lord, Dave's on the wrong side of the car! It's Holiday Park and doesn't it look nice? Here's our super fun group for this weekend! (I'm the one wearing the brown hat) Only one place to go first here - Expedition GeForce! Nathan and James are ready to ride the best steel coaster in world! Airtime... IN SPADES! It was a dull and grey day but Expedition GeForce makes everything better! The park added a new Wild Mouse since my last visit. This one is dear to my heart as it came from Scotland's (defunct) Loudoun Castle! Mike's not a fan of the Fahrt Coaster! He is however, a fan of the German beer! If you needed any further proof that it's Germany - here's my schnitzel! Newly engaged Russ and Stacey sure didn't waste any time! James says "Hi Erik!" Mike loves this park as he can go Wickie, Wickie Wild! Arcade highlight - Giant Connect 4! Mike gets 60 loser tokens! That's some quality tat! I was worried that the park's new owners might neuter the awesome dark ride... But I'm happy to report... Boobs are still on show far all at Holiday Park! We stumbled across this show in the park. Yes, that woman is hanging be her neck! Who's gonna be the unlucky sod who takes one for the team on the rapids? Unlucky, James! This isn't the only phallic looking object we saw in the park today! These weird pictures were all over the drop tower queue. They don't impress Mike much! Intamin drop towers impress us all though! (Including random Germans!) Another look at some of the awesome theming Plopsa have added to the entrance area. Dave's special. So special. Apparently James loves this kind of kinky stuff! OH NO! SUPER WIRBEL IS CLOSED FOR THE DAY! From the park's Star Flyer you can get a great view of the park's stunt show - The Hollywood Spectacular! Dave! You're making everyone in the park horny with poses like that! How about some more Expedition GeForce? Okay! OMG, OMG! Transfer track porn! Now that's hot! The best first drop on any coaster anywhere? Quite possibly! Thanks for still being awesome, Expedition GeForce! On our way out we stopped into the Holiday Park Museum where you can take a look at maps and stuff from the park's past... ...and gems like this! Indoor group photo so I don't have to lie on wet ground! So that was a pretty great visit to a very quiet Holiday Park! Expedition GeForce absolutely deserves it's spot at the top of the coaster rankings! Next: Drinking around the hotels of the Europa Park Resort!

Wow, so this season has gotten REALLY good in the last few weeks! Malcolm pulling out the second idol made for some awesome TV! I do think he could have used it as an opportunity to get himself into a better standing in the game though. Had he been able to get the big alliance to turn on each other he really would have been sitting in a much improved spot. I just love how this season has turned in the last few weeks. I hope it continues on this path!
-
Good stuff, TP! Next I think we need to see how you bake a cake in a frying pan.
-
I made the mistake of trying to read the article too. Absolute drivel... To me the complainers mostly appear to be fanboys demanding instant gratification. “Build new rides for me, NOW!”. What they fail to realise is Disney’s number one objective as a business: Increase shareholder wealth. How do you increase shareholder wealth when you’re in a service based industry? You strive to improve the guest experience as much as possible. As far as I can see MyMagic+ is designed to do just that and to an extent that’s never been seen in a theme park before. Disney’s share price is currently higher than it’s ever been. This is after the market’s had a chance to react to the news of this huge capital investment. Trying to pick holes in a business plan because they’re not building you a new ride right now is foolish. This is a LONG TERM investment from Disney that seeks to increase their profitability which in turn will lead to even more awesome parks and rides down the road. I can't wait to see it in action!
-
Well that was a fascinating, yet uncomfortable episode to watch. I think this exemplified why Jeff Probst is so good at doing what he does. He managed to control the situation yet still get the story told in a way that worked for the show's narrative. Surely had this not happened then Brandon would have been pulled from the game anyway for making physical threats. The real question to come out all of this is whether he should have been there in the first place? Like I said - fascinating to watch but I'm actually more excited about the tribe shake-up next week to see if we can have some good strategic play arise from this season.
-
Just to echo what everyone else has said - great report Chuck! Starting to muster up the courage to begin mine now...
-
I think this season is shaping up pretty good too. I think you just need to accept that the terms "Fans" and "Favourites" are being used very loosely here. You can hardly be surprised that Phillip, Brandon and Cochran are back as they all make great TV. I don't see why voting out Francesca first is inexcusable... Why should players not play the game they want to just because she happened to be voted out first? Plus it made some excellent viewing seeing her go first. As much as I liked Brenda first time around I think her goose is cooked, almost no airtime and on the wrong side of the numbers at the minute, I can't see her being a key player this season. Hope I'm wrong though as I do like her. Really pleased to see Cochran back as he got such a poor table draw last time around, this time it's almost the opposite - pretty much everyone on his tribe likes him it appears. Hopefully he can actually use that position to make some good moves this season. I think it's been a solid start to the season without being anything really spectacular, but with some good battles brewing on both tribes plus a tribe swap almost certain to come up soon I think this season has loads of potential.

The day after Port Aventura we headed to Barcelona's "other" theme park, Tibidabo! Tibidabo is a really unique park in Europe. It sits on the side of a hill overlooking Barcelona and the rides are all situated on different levels. There really is nothing like it this side of Asia! The park for the most part takes some fairly standard rides but because of the amazing views they are made all the better for it. There's also some unique rides that while simple in premise are really good thanks to that amazing view! Since my last visit in 2007 a new coaster had been added courtesy of those guys at Vekoma. It's actually pretty good, for not only it's smoothness but also because of it's interaction with the terrain on the side of the hill. Not to mention the view... Anyway, next time you visit Port Aventura don't forget to pay a little visit to Tibidabo on the side there really isn't anywhere else like it! We've came a long way to get up to the top of the big mountain and we couldn't have done it without Doritos! How's this for a view when you arrive at a park? Seeing as we visited on a Sunday I'll include a photo of this big church looking thing. Welcome to Tibidabo! Signature ride! It's a plane, on a stick! New since my last visit here... Vekoma hotness! It's pretty damn good too! This gives Ocean Park's mine train a run for it's money as far as coaster views go! Some of us were stupid enough to brave the log flume. Yeah, that view... This stance can only mean one thing... Powered credit! This is actually a really good powered. There are some great interaction opportunities with passing vehicles too. It's not quite Hogwarts... Which could be a good thing! Who knew you could have this much fun on steps. Top Spin, with a view! "Please don't splash my face!" Chair Swings. With a view! Hotel Krueger, this is Tibidabo's really good haunted walkthrough! This thing REALLY messed Dave up! Bumper Cars! With a view! Speaking of rides with a view... The inverted monorail is awesome! You get to see right inside all the locals' living rooms! Mike to F6! In order to get into the park's mirror maze you get made to wear these very kinky plastic gloves! Jeff Johnson credit! A look at the park's old coaster which got replaced by the giant chess board! Brad, Andrew and that damn view! Mike enjoys some chocolatey, appley goodness! Now here's a test of your mettle! The Fudges were fairly apprehensive in the bucket on a stick... We got really lucky with it being such a clear day, you really could see for miles. This is what RCT looks like in Spain. Yay, we made it to Spain and got on all the coasters for a change! This sadly means our trip to Madrid in 2013 will likely be wiped out by a tsunami or alien invasion... And that's it for our Spanish adventure! Tibidabo really is a quirky, fun park and I always have a great time when I visit. Hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading!

^ It was only okay. It was just great to see other parks trying to sell new flavours! It's always gonna be hard for parks that do though because I'm instantly comparing them to Tokyo Disney's Curry and Black Pepper flavours! Fingers crossed more parks start doing similar things with their popcorn.
