I really liked Duel: Live! Note that I really am NOT a big fan of regular Duel since I think the lasers ruin it all. So yeah, Duel: Live works for me since it's back to being a ghost train (and boy, do they make it REALLY dark in there!). Last year there wasn't much of a "Live" aspect to it with one actor in the whole thing but this year they really ramped it up with actors at just about every turn. (Plus, we had Scottish Steve with us which instantly makes any attraction like this amazing!). I read that on select days this year they were trialling "Hex: Live", I'm curious to see how that works and if it's successful hopefully they'll fully roll it out next year!

Dude, that's a shame you missed out on the bus, that was my favourite part of the whole thing! Did you not have any zombies in the corn jumping out at you? Glad to hear you liked the Boiler House! Those masks were really creepy, it's just a shame that the whole thing was over so quickly!

It's great to see Holiday Park in the Autumn! I don't think I've ever seen non-summer photos of the park! It looks great with all the Halloween decorations. Well done on avoiding Intamin Cable Death!

I just watched the first episode of the new season of Friday Night Lights. Just amazing. I still can't believe that this show has made it to a fourth season but wow, am I thankful! This is seriously one of the best TV shows of all time in my view. I put it up there with Lost, Mad Men and The Sopranos. It's that good! (And there's another season to come after the current one!) I'm not even a big fan of American Football either!

Depending on what side of New Year I go, it could be something at Glasgow's Irn-Bru Carnival for me. If I do Irn-Bru after New Year then my final rides of the year will be at a random carnival in Birmingham in December!

Day 6, Part One FARUP SOMMERLAND Next on the agenda for us was Farup Sommerland! I visited this place for the first time a year earlier and it instantly became one of my favourite parks. The place just has such a great atmosphere and some real quirky fun stuff. Sadly, the rain from the previous day still hadn't let up so we didn't get to experience Farup to its full potential but we still made the most of it. We even had an insane ERT session on Falken where the now legendary game of "PASS THE SWORD" was born! I really hope that the rain didn't ruin the group's view of Farup because I think it really is one of the best places in Europe! Here's some photos... It was a wet day which meant we really never got to see Farup be as amazing as it can be but the group still seemed to have fun! It's still one of my favourite parks too! If you visit Farup tomorrow could you please point Scottish Steve towards the exit? Thanks. Because it’s JUST A VEKOMA! Why are Brad and Andrew so excited? TPDave you need to hold it horizontal so we can read it. And that’s not even your name! There’s her buddies! Aww, poor Lou has no friends. Spinning mouse in the rain? I’ve got the credit so I can just point and laugh! Brad wanted to wear just the poncho with nothing underneath it. If you ask him nicely I hear he’ll do a special show for you. Of course it’s up to Divv to show everyone how to get maximum perfornance from their boat. Brad wants his mummy. He’s on a TPBoat motherfudger! JUST made it! Oohh, Lou looks a bit touch and go to get on the speed boats! Quick PASS THE SWORD!!! That was a super fun and crazy ERT session! OMG, STEVE HAS THE SWORD OF POWER!!! We had Falken ERT next! What’s that you’ve got there Steve? Is there anything Robb’s duct tape can’t fix? Poor Scottish Steve asked us to help him keep the rain off… Lynet was as good as I remembered it being last year. I'm really hoping we see more of these coasters pop up soon! Mike’s always prepared for damp conditions. We braved the stinging rain to enjoy some early Lynet ERT! It’s a wet, wet day. But still, we’re at Farup Sommerland - one of my favourite parks in Europe!

Great report! Dollywood just looks stunning. I actually think that out out of all the parks on next years TPR trips I'm looking forward to Dollywood more than any of them!

LOL Elissa! I thought that thing was bad enough when I rode it in the front row in the sun last year! Bill, I've got one Sommerland Syd map from my visit in 2008! I don't even think Tom got one. They hand them out to cars as they come in the entrance which would explain why you didn't get one! We're too efficient! LOL! Don't worry Larry, there are one or two more photos to come that you'll love too! --- Day 5, Part Two LEGOLAND BILLUND I love Legoland! Despite the fact that it was absolutely bucketing it down with rain today we still managed to get a load of rides in! The Billund park is really big and just looks amazing. I've visited this park quite a few times now and just love it. Of course our favourite attraction here is still FIRE SCHOOL and fortunately for all of us Anth's clothes actually stayed on this time! Thanks for wearing a belt Anth! All in all we proved that Legoland is great fun to visit whatever the weather! Here's the photos... This concludes our wet afternoon at Legoland. I still love these parks and the fact that we were able to do so much in the rain shows you how good the range of attractions at the park is! I can’t wait to visit more Legolands in the future! You’ve never seen a more bloody and disgusting battle than this one. Such carnage! Yes Lou works for BA, and yes that’s a BA plane. Photo must therefore exist. It’s good to see the Dane’s aren’t averse to a bit of partial nudity! Not quite wiki, wiki wild but very, very funny! Ah, so that’s why the park is so wet today! Mike wants to show the world how to go WIKI, WIKI WILD! But they were no match for the Brits! Unlucky Big Mike! Team Big Mike could really pump! Especially when there is a battle for TPR pride being waged! Of course that most fun attraction in any Legoland is fireschool! Hey Erik, it’s I’s cream not yours! You don’t even like that stuff anyway! Proof that just about everything in Legoland has some kind of Lego theming, I don’t think this ride exists at any other Legoland SO YOU MUST COME TO DENMARK!!! Legoland’s rip of Pirates of the Carribbean is actually my favourite ride in the park. And even better, I actually own the smaller version of this very Lego ship! How cool am I? I want a pet Lego turtle. Anyone want to adopt me one? Steve, don’t worry, remember the shark is just made out of blocks. Turn your monitor back on now. Lolly suck off round two! Steve’s got this one in the bag with that Gene Simmons tongue! TPStuck after a big epic TPFail. Much hilarity ensues in these situations. Oh, I should have mentioned earlier. This update is brought to you by Sod. Perfect for all your sodomising needs. More spraying devices are good, although having them in a place where it’s impossible to soak TPR members is very frustrating! Brad asks the age old question “Are you my mother?” Any ride that has water bombs that I can set off on other TPR members is a winner in my view! Ben’s never gonna have kids now after selecting the super extreme mode but at least he survived! And it was indoors which was much appreciated today! The Robocoaster plaza was very cool! "Ooh err, this actually TPFun!" Prepare for some face stinging pain! "What is this Diplom-is stuff and where can I get some?" Powered Coaster, check. Lou’s flicked up leg, also check. Ah it’s just like a mini Lego TPR group meal! To be fair, this coaster went at Light-o-speed-o! I love the fact that despite making fun of me riding kiddie coasters for credits Lou probably rode more kiddie coasters than me in Scandi! Despite the fact that they’re soaking wet, nothing will deter this lot from obtaining the kiddie credit! Brad's excited because we're at Legoland!!!

Day 5, Part One SOMMERLAND SYD Today brought us back into the land of DKKs to Denmark’s Sommerland Syd. Our group must have set some kind of record today in that we got in and out of the park with all the credits plus a water ride under our belts before the park had even opened! Sadly it was a bit rainy so it really wasn’t much more than a credit stop. Since I got the credits last year and wasn’t in much of a mood for reriding a boomerang so I just took photos and laughed at those who did ride it! Not much else to say about the place since we didn’t stay long so here’s some photos! We were so efficient at getting the rides done here that we were in and out before the park even opened! Quite a feat! Wet, wet Blocko goodness is up next! It’s a shame it was so wet that we couldn’t really enjoy things like this more. Although being the fun lovin’ crew that we are we made the most of it. There’s a second credit at Sommerland Syd which is way better than the other one! Larry was still drunk this morning. This amused us all very much! Although the people who rode actually said it wasn’t too bad so maybe I should have given it a go. Ah well, better off not risking Vekoma death! I was so pleased I got this credit last year, with the rain and painful memories still fresh in my mind I opted to just take photos. Elissa loves Danish Face/Off! That lucky guy next to Elissa is enjoying his FIRST EVER front row ride on a coaster! These are two of the top attractions at Sommerland Syd: The Disneyland dwarfing castle and even better – Danish Face/Off! If only I had Steve’s shades complete with flaps it would have been a different story! Although I wasn’t so happy that I’d submit myself to this first thing in the morning! It’s a wet morning but we’re at Sommerland Syd and we’re happy about it!

Thanks people! I think Anth was too spooked by the skeletons on the rapids to ask to do any water rides! I can't believe Steve bought our story that the only people he'd encounter were "guides" who would give him a historical tour through the Towers!

Hello! This past weekend the Brit Crew got together for our annual pilgrimage to Alton Towers to check out their Halloween festivities! This was my third consecutive year attending the event and I have to say this was the best yet! For starters, there was hardly any lines for the rides! Even though the park looked busy I think the longest we waited all day was 20 minutes for Air! Then once night fell pretty much everything was a walk on, which meant such goodness as Nemesis in the dark! The Halloween offerings were very impressive for the most part. Terror of the Towers has been totally reworked. It's no longer about different actors directing you through. It's now more like a Horror Nights maze in that you keep walking through and scare actors try and scare the bejesus out of you at every turn! Somehow we managed to convince Scottish Steve to partake and I can say I've never seen someone shake in fear as much in my life! Very amusing! The upcharge mazes were good for the most part too. The Field of 1000 Screams was fantastic, although a bit less about the scares and more about telling a bit of a story. I love walking through that corn and hearing and seeing things shake. It's a great maze. The Boiler House was good for what was there, unfortunately it was just a bit too short. Compared to the other mazes this one seemed about half the length. Still, what was there was good (and pretty creepy if you don't like knife wielding or freaky masks!), hopefully they'll develop it a bit more in years to come. Duel also had the lasers switched off and had live actors situated throughout, which for me is a million times better than the shooting version! The only downer was that there didn't seem to be any actors walking around the park like there were last year in Haunted Hollow and the Duel queueline. The new coaster seems to be coming along too. It looks very similar to Mine Train Ulven at Bakken so far, which is what I expected it to be like. Looking forward to getting back and riding it next year! All in all we had a fantastic day and can't wait for next year! Seeing as it’s Halloween I’ll leave you with this creepy photo of Southern Steve and I. Hope you enjoyed reading! Thanks to everyone who came along! Scarefest is just an awesome Halloween event that just gets better every year. If you can get to Alton Towers in October then I suggest you do it! After the mazes we headed back into the park for some night rides. Can you blame us?! The Boiler House was great while it lasted. Sadly it just didn’t last very long. A bit disappointing for an upcharge attraction. Still, hopefully it’ll evolve like the Field has over the years. Word of Scottish Steve assaulting 27 scare actors sure caught the local news’ attention! The Field of 1000 Screams is amazing! Getting chased by Zombies in a 6 foot tall corn maze is something I look forward to every October! Darkness has fallen, time to check out more Scarefest additions! Get the right configuration of people and this thing really throws you around! Whilst not quite up there with Winjas and Dragon’s Fury, Spinball Whizzer is a great spinner. The Brit Crew would like to take this opportunity to say “Hi Erik!” Corkscrew wasn’t the only ride to leave Ug Land after last year. Ug Swinger lives on in Cloud Cuckoo Land as Twirling Toadstools. Sadly there were no Oompa Loompas available to create Charlie and the Chocolate Factory LIVE. This pleased Steve greatly. The new area for 2009 is the kiddie themed Cloud Cuckoo Land. The Sky Ride station has certainly seen better days. Hope they get this sorted soon, it’s a lot of walking without it! But still, we didn’t have to wait long, which is quite a rarity with this! Air, as expected, was still it’s usual mediocre self. Think it’s good now, Scott? Just wait til it gets dark! I can’t believe this thing is 15 years old already and it still it runs better than any other B&M invert I’ve rode! Still, it’s the best coaster in the country and it was running great today! Unfortunately, Nemesis Live wasn’t quite ready for this year. This may be why! Why does Steve look so worried? Best Halloween decoration yet! This was awesome! And great value too at £6.36 for all you can eat and drink! BUFFET! The imaginatively named "Pizza and Pasta Buffet" takes the place of the Pizza Hut this year. Anything with “Buffet” in the name works for us! The real reason why Alton Towers is Divv-approved! Would you like a Medium Russ? Only eight quid. But more than all I like SHARKS!!! This is reason enough to visit Alton! I also like face hugging crabs. I like fish. A recent addition at the park is, as Brad calls it, Sharkrape Beef! Steve’s new best friend says “I’m watching you!” He did! Though he’ll never quite be the same again. Neither will Stacey’s shoulders from Steve’s vice like grip! This is where it all begins. Will Steve make it through alive? Try and contain your excitement Steve! OMG, can you believe that Scottish Steve is in line for this?! Onto some Scarefest fun now! Terror of the Towers is a maze that winds through Towers themselves! And Brad says he’s not a credit whore!!! Amazingly there was some people in our group who still needed this credit! Hi Larry! I think you need this! Is that water under that piece of track? OMG – AQUATRAX!!! ALERT – CONSTRUCTION UPDATE!!! Could it be something to do with this? Wonder why all the Rita merchandise is getting sold off cheap? Rita was running like it’s usual self, i.e. fun, but nothing out of this world! The Brit Crew wants to “Hi!" To Southern Steve! Hope you’re enjoying sitting behind a desk while we’re riding Rita! We figured that Rita should be our first port of call seeing as the queue is usually well over an hour. Amazingly I don't think it went over 25 minutes all day! Don’t expect to see anything like this here next year! For what is sure to be the last time ever, we set foot in Ug Land! Here is the crowd of non-educated delinquents who were allowed out for the day to check out the park! Can you believe it? Another year has passed and it’s time for Scarefest once again! The BEST time of the year to visit Alton Towers!

Oh I think I have a picture Larry! But before that... Day 4, Part Two KARAOKE BAR! After a long day in a theme park sometimes all you want is to relax next to some open water, have a few beers and if you have a few too many then maybe you might indulge in a bit of karaoke. At least that’s what a few of our group did! I don’t really feel the need to say much more about this WIKI, WIKI, WILD night just that it was amazing and everyone should laugh at Mike for it! This was such a hilarious night that pictures just can’t sum up. So with that in mind check out the VIDEO in my next post!!! Scottish Steve wowed German audiences too with some after dinner speaking. Sadly all of Germany was denied the opportunity to hear Erik belt out We Will Rock You. It better happen next year! Germany just goes Wiki, wiki wild for Mike! OMG, the rumours are true!!! It’s McFudge!!! Irish Pubs are Divv approved!!! Let’s go here. Apparently the hottest music act in the world are making their grand debut tonight! Okay, hands up if you want to get drunk and just go generally WIKI, WIKI WILD!!! Everyone – Attack TPDave!!! It’s a nice photo, but I really love it for Lou being all antisocial and emo in the distance! It’s a boat motherfudger!!! Little do I know that Jelloufish death is imminent. None more deadly than these two!!! The pretty clear water was full of lots of pretty (BUT DEADLY) jellyfish! Well isn’t Flensberg a nice little place? We started our evening by trying out some local delicacies at Subway.

Day 4 – HANSA PARK Today took us out of Scandinavia and into Germany so we could visit one of the country’s northernmost parks – Hansa Park. This place was a real surprise to me, I mean I expected it to be nice and all but I really ended up loving this place! Some people said it’s almost like a mini-Heide park, which I’d agree with and even say it’s pretty much as good as Heide! We started the day with a talk fromt the park management about their future plans (which sound amazing!) then we had some ERT on their brand new Eurofighter! This Eurofighter was so new that most of the theming for the ride hadn’t yet been added! Funnily enough the version of the ride we rode was probably themed better than Saw at Thorpe! There were some really cool effects on the ride and it had quite a cool layout with a few surprises here and there. I can’t wait to get on this again once the theming is done. It’s my second favourite Eurofighter for sure. The rest of the coasters included a fun Scwarzkopf looper, a Vekoma rollerskater and a wild mouse. All pretty solid rides. They also added a new ropes course this year, and whilst not being on the same level as the specialised one we did in Belgium a year ago it was still pretty challenging and a lot of fun! More parks need things like this! All in all the park has some great themed sections and a great selection of rides. It really is a place to watch for the future! Hansa Park was awesome! I seriously want to go back next year just to see Fluch with the extra theming! Okay, park photos next or bar photos? Today’s segment was brought to you by Lift German Apple juice. Made by Germans. For Mike. Mike just LOVES being in the Wiki, Wiki, Wild, Wild West! TPSuccess! (Enough TPCaptions you think?) That’s TPAttractive! With me being finished about 15 minutes Mike still dangles around, so close to admitting defeat. Oh Steve, that’s a charming angle! But he wasn’t the first to finish! That would be me! As illustrated by that solitary finger I’m holding up. That wasn’t obvious? All those years of watching Gladiators have finally paid off for Mike. It's most definitely NOT for the unfit! (Like me!) This thing just about killed us all. Hansa also has a really kick ass obstacle course. Ben takes yet another soaking. Glad I avoided that boat! We call this: “If Hulk were a water ride”. Kinda. Scottish Steve bangs the drum. So do Big Mike, Fudge 1 and TPDave. Lou just wanted to say “Hi Cameron!” Check us out. We’re cool riders. I don’t know how you can put Andrew on one side and Erik on the other and still have the scales balance. SCIENCE! I ate it all! Even the asparagus! Why? Because it was wrapped in freakin’ bacon! OMG, this was one of the best meals of the trip! I’ve just realised that I don’t think I’ve seen a photo of Lou on a carousel where she isn’t pulling this pose. Quite a revelation in my book. Brad needs his milk any way he can get it. I didn’t frame this great but Lou fits in with the scenery quite well! This photo doesn’t quite capture this but before we noticed the beak we were convinced this was cock and balls! Doesn’t this boat look like an enthused bunch of riders? This little series of puzzles and obstacles were next to the Bayern Curve. Sadly Brad and Andrew had to cheat to get to the end point. FAIL! The Bayern Curve was a bit of a weird thing. Do people actually count these as credits? “I think I see the smoke monster!” Quick, attack Larry while he can’t get out! Oh my TPDave, what’s happening here? Yes even I ride spinning things. But only if they’re over 100 feet apparently. It’s funny that this Star Flyer now seems tame when not long ago it looked like one of the craziest things ever! TPR trips take their toll, you have to get that sleep wherever you can! Random drop tower photo anyone? You’re welcome. It’s a wild mouse so as always I’m not a big fan but it did at least look quite good! Luckily Lou was on hand with a spate of Hansa Park buttons. But of course with so much fun there are always casualties. Poor Ben was the unfortunate one this time. Check out how high Big Mike gets! Dave looks pretty amused! "I believe I can TPFly!" Why do I have to go to Denmark or Germany to find these bouncy things? They’re sources of endless amusement! After years of visiting parks and avoiding it I finally got to experience the delight that is Panda-fudging-Vision. This photo smuses me so much. Brad looks genuinely petrified! Mike’s getting in the mood to go Wiki Wiki Wild! I can’t believe I did five years of music at High School and they never told me about the H note! Okay, c’mon people, get your kumbayas out! Can you believe, we finally have the TPTeepee!!! Kidtums Credit! I think she quite liked this one! Here's a wee bit more of that porn for you! That’s some top quality coaster porn. That’s Lena our bus driver on the right joining in the fun. She was awesome, I just wish she’d smile every once in a while! I think as far as Eurofighters go only Speed ranks higher for me. This is how you do a Eurofighter Thorpe Park! Not that Saw is bad or anything but this thing just shows you how much potential these rides have. The theming wasn’t finished yet but it still kicked all kinds of ass! Let’s ride some new Eurofighter goodness! And this was one reason why! (The ride Fluch Von Novgorod, not the rock) Now for a park that for me was one of the biggest surprise parks of the trip! This place was just awesome!

Day 3 – BAKKEN Day three took us to Bakken, a park just outside Copenhagen. It’s a bit of a strange place featuring a lot of fair ground flat rides but with big coasters in the middle too. We started out our day with food ERT, always a great way to start a park visit, this one contained lots of seafood so it was very much Divv-approved. We moved onto ERT on the Scenic Railway which really as far as Scenic Railways go is just awesome. This thing has some crazy airtime and you can tell the brakemen know just how to operate it to give some really insane rides. We had a bit of a Q&A with the park management who informed us that the ride was going to be losing it’s brakemen next year as it is due to receive new KumbaK trains. Here’s hoping that this train change is a lot more successful than the Stampida change to KumbaK. I really am glad I got to ride it before the change takes place! Bakken’s new ride this year is the Intamin spinning coaster Tornado. The less I say about this the better really. Whilst some people seemed to really like it I wasn;t a fan. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the combination of a launch and a spin caused me horrible neck pain and the fact that I kept bashing against the OTSRs the whole way through the ride. Anyway, a lot of people liked it so maybe it can be put down to me getting an unlucky ride but I have no desire to ride that thing again. The rest of the park is fairly standard flat rides although they do have a very cool Intamin mine train which is a lot of fun with an insane first drop. I hope Alton’s new family coaster is something like this! Here are the Bakken photos… Bakken’s a fun park to swing by if you’re in Denmark. Let’s hope the that amazing Scenic Railway isn’t ruined by the KumbaK trains next year! We’re off to Germany next! OMG, I didn’t even realise that they sold ice cream in Bakken! Another Stacker, another EPIC, EPIC fail from Steve! Okay Erik, you can go back to licking them! He still hugs this in bed apparently. Mike never passes up an opportunity to show off his manliness. The double shot was as good as place as any to start a wee sing song, so that’s what they did. I hid. That’s it Erik, lick it. You love it. "Scottish Steve is in the car in front of us so we get to hear the screams of horror! Yay!" OMG, did Lou WIN at a shooting dark ride??!! I’m sensing a running joke, are you? Not for me thanks! It started raining but that didn’t put these crazy people off doing the crazy spinning things of death. Andrew does quite a good job of camouflaging himself in with the noodle things. There were plenty of things all over the place that could just trip you up or you could smack your head into. I love it! Lou shows us all how to play an out of tune piano. Steve doesn’t even realise that the floor moves, it’s just like any other floor to him! If you like your funhouses themed to the life of sea men then Bakken is for you! Erik, that one’s not real either! Give it up! The Flitzer was a big hit with everyone. Wish there were more of these around! Ha ha I have this credit. You’re all whores! Wouldn’t catch me dead on a Danish kiddie coaster this year! I include one photo of this ride only to let you know that it is there. Now if you don’t mind I’m going to go back to pretending it doesn’t exist. Thanks. No Erik, it’s not real!!! Don’t mess with The Fudge! This version of the shooting ride had this cool screen outside so that we could see which TPR members were cheating their way to a win! Now for one of the coolest attractions ever: Desperado! For some reason after we congregated here everyone else started taking photos of us. I still can’t work out why. Actually they did! And everyone lived! YAY! Surely they wouldn’t really let Robb be the brake man? Hold on a second, I’m not sure if I want ERT any more! TP tries to hail us a train so we can start our ERT! Point and laugh at Brad who can’t drink beer today. I said point and laugh! Good. Today’s park is Bakken. Quite a strange place really. Can’t quite put my finger on why I think it’s strange though. I still like the park so it's all good!

I'm hoping one of our Australian friends will be able to hook me up with some Aussie Doritos on a TPR trip next year! But yeah, there are loads of flavours! As a matter of fact I'm gonna be getting my hands on some new flavours this weekend! Yes, everyone should do an international TPR trip. (Though, they're pretty much all international to me!) Day 2 – TIVOLI GARDENS Tivoli Gardens is one of those urban parks that you see in quite a few places in Scandinavia, set right in the heart of Copenhagen the park has a very unique and cool atmosphere. I only got to sepnd an hour or so at the park in 2008 so I was grateful to get a full day there this year because there really is loads to do. Our day started with some ERT on the park’s Scenic Railway followed by a super cool behind the scenes tour. It was great to see how passionate the employees were about the ride and it’s history. It was also cool to see the coaster from some pretty unique angles. Later in the day we had some ERT on Tivoli’s teeny, tiny B&M Daemonen. I love how this little thing has just been shoehorned into the park and for a floorless I think it rides pretty well. A big highlight of the day was the group dinner at Wagamama! If you’ve read any of my TRs before you’ll know that the Brit Crew are big fans of the place so it was great to see some non-Brits get their Wagamama cherries popped. Onto some photos… That’ll do it from Tivoli Gardens. A great park with a fantastic mix that leaves something for everybody! Bakken is next! Remember what I said about the park just getting prettier at night? Love it. See! When Lou finds anything in a gift shop with her name on it a photo has to be taken (it’s in the rules). In fact Tivoli’s gift shop was so good that we found that they had a sign for EACH and EVERY person’s name in the group! As night starts to fall the park just gets prettier. Notice the lights starting to come around the coaster track. (Oh yeah, and the Road Show is in town!) Ben on the other hand had the chopstick usage down to a tee. In the end we had resort to feeding him ourselves otherwise he would have starved. Don’t let Brad fool you here, this is about the only time he actually managed to get food in his mouth from the chopsticks. The included dinner today was a big highlight of the trip for many of us Wagamama addicts! Did you hear that the Road Show was in town? The inverted flying carpet looked quite intriguing. Not intriguing enough to make me want to ride right enough! I have to say I do not regret missing this one! No one knew quite what to make of the Flic Flac before riding. In a park like Tivoli with lots of spinners I spend a good portion of the day wearing other peoples sunglasses, jewellery and bags. Ben spotted another cup. He couldn’t contain himself. I love Tivoli Gardens. Its not time to make a change, just relax, take it easy. This was probably when I was avoiding yet another flat ride. Mike seems to be pretending he’s back in the Safari Park in the background. Is it just me or does it look like the leg of Lou’s sunglasses is going right through her nose? Cartoonish photo of TPDave quota for this update: filled. I don’t know why but “Pot & Tot” amuses me endlessly! Yet another Mike funhouse fail in action. Steve experiences one of his trademark bumpy landings in Tivoli’s kickass fun house! Lou got to fulfil her dream of being the meat in a Mike and Andrew manwich. Lou doesn’t approve of Divv rejecting yet another flat ride! Despite being powered this coaster is good fun! It’s a powered coaster. It’s a Divv TR rule that when Lou rides a powered coaster there must be a picture of Lou flicking her leg out as she is doing here. We don’t really know why this rule exists but we do not question the rules. Please tell me that cup in his mouth didn’t come from the bin! Ben finds a bin that is a bonafide CASH COW! Success! You bin raiding whore! TPDave spots what he hopes is a plastic cup. Jes demonstrates this amazing contraption in action. Of course some of our group just saw this thing as a bit of a money making opportunity when they realised that not everyone in the park would actually utilise these machines after finishing their drinks. Now for another amusing development in Denmark… The park apparently wanted to cut down on plastic cups getting wasted so they put the price of all the drinks up by 5 Kroners and then threw these machines all over the park that allow you to recycle your cup and get that 5 Kroners back. Not a bad idea I guess. It’s always good to point and laugh and be smug when you already have the kiddie credit that everyone else in the group needs! Of course with the Road Show in town the press and media were all over the park! Everyone who rode it seemed to love it! Wonder if we’ll ever see any more of these? If I have one regret from the Tivoli day it’s not riding this. Yes the spinning would have probably killed me but it just looked so freaking cool! Not content with being a star of TPR Lou sets upon accomplishing her dream of becoming Denmark’s Cheryl Cole. Erik enjoys his first ever soft ice. This was very amusing to watch. Basically Mike’s OCD is so strong that he had fix all the tangled bits of string on the lanterns! This is what we call Steve’s “B&M hair”. Not quite as crazy as his “S&M hair” but crazy nonetheless. Oh yeah, we got a spot of ERT on the teeny, tiny, you-could-just-reach-out-and-pet-it B&M! You know I really am not fan of things that spin but for some reason LOVE these big Star Flyers. I think it’s more a case that I tolerate the spinning just because the view is so damn good! Especially in an urban park like this one! Scare number 17,526 of the trip for Steve. This is quite cool too. Inside the coaster building they have pictures like this showing the park’s history. This is the park’s original “Rutschbane”. Another highlight of the backstage tour was all the extra angles you could get photos from. Does this excite you? I know it does. Go get those tissues now! This is the geekiest Brad has ever been in his life. On the backstage tour Erik was one of many who hunted out these “bonus credits!” Steve and Brad are our resident father-son riding team. We started with ERT on the Scenic Railway. The great thing about ERT on these rides is that the brake men always like to give us rides that are bit crazier than usual! For the first time (and definitely not the last) let me introduce to the “Mike creams up” shot! Brad and Lou spent many hours last night coordinating their wardrobes for today and the remainder of the trip. Today’s park is one of the most famous parks in Europe – Tivoli Gardens!

Day 1, Part Two INTERNATIONAL SNACK TRADING! If you’re friends with me on Facebook you’ll probably already know about the Doritos thing, but for those who don’t know: I love Doritos. Think they’re magic, eat them all the time and have somehow developed some kind of unhealthy obsession with them. As with all things in my life I can’t just like something I have to get totally obsessed with it and so the whole Doritos thing kind of happened. I started to realise that all around the world different countries sold different flavours of the chips and for some reason this illustrated some huge challenge for me. How many different flavours of Doritos can I find and how many different countries can I get them from? Such a challenge would be quite tough to someone who only visits a handful of countries every year but thankfully TPR trips provide a barrage of international Doritos mules willing to feed my addiction! On top of all this, what begun as a drive for a few bags of Doritos turned into a full blown international snack trading extravaganza with loads more people getting in on the fun! I see something similar happened on the West Coast Trip which is awesome, I hope this now becomes a TPR trip tradition! (If only so no one gets surprised when I put in my annual Doritos request on the trip boards!) I’d just like to say a HUGE THANKS to everyone who participated in this, especially those who provided Doritos! It was much appreciated! Let’s have a look at the International Snack Trading Extravaganza! Maybe it’s time to stop drinking seeing as we’re off to Tivoli Gardens in the morning!!! After being concerned that we’d make too much noise we took the shenanigans outside and talked about other TPR members. Because you know, that’s what we do when we’re drunk! You know you do too! But the main attraction of this evening was The Road Show which had rolled into town and happened to have base camp set up at our very same hotel! How lucky were we?! With most of the snacks finished Steve comes to our rescue with copious amounts of beer in tow! In a mere 15 minutes Steve is done. That’s some quality sucking. Mike clearly sucks at sucking. No biting now Steve. I hear you’re a biter. Scottish Steve is convinced he can suck better than Mike. Let’s see! 33 minutes and 33 seconds later and Mike is done! "It’s a marathon, not a sprint" says Mike. Lolly suck off time! How fast can Mike suck this one away? Get Lou three cans of Steak’n’Shake chilli and she’s pretty much in your debt forever. Mike had a Whopper of a snack trade too! I scored a LOT of Doritos credits tonight and this isn't all of them! Thank you once again to EVERYONE who brought me Doritos! This is PORN!!! OMG, look at all the Doritos people brought me! Whilst the rest of us headed to the Expo Brad decided he'd be better off airwanking for a while. It's what he does. On our way to the Expo we were shocked to find how big Copenhagen's litter problem is.

Day 1 – BONBON-LAND Our first day of the trip took us to BonBon-Land, a quality little park I first visited a year ago. The place is famous for it’s non-PC characters which seem to have been toned down a bit in the last year but not completely. If you look around enough you’ll still find those massive exposed boobs or peeing ant. BonBon-Land is home to the world’s first Eurofighter, which of course we had ERT on. Seemed to be running a lot better this year than last, or maybe I’m just getting really used to Eurofighters. Regardless, it was good fun for ERT as was the Gerstlauer spinner which actually spun a bit too much for my liking but made for some great ERT. Definitely Gerstlauer’s best spinning effort that I’ve tried. New since my last visit was Viktor Vandorm, a Zierer family coaster with a mile long train. For a relocated coaster they did a really good job of shoehorning it into the park and making it look like it had been there all along. BonBon-Land really is about all the quirky bits of fun like the obstacle courses and randomly themed flats, for a group of people like TPR it really was the perfect park to start the trip with! Woohoo! This is a nice teaser for what’s to come next: International Snack Trade featuring Divv’s Doritos of the World!!! Bet you’re excited!!! Woo, snack time. And not just any snack time either – it’s Doritos snack time!!! Mike and Brad have beer, Steve does not. Point and laugh. I said point and laugh! The REAL reason why BonBon-Land is Divv approved!!! Scare number 1365. The long lines of TPR members attempting to avoid certain death on the obstacle courses would become something of a theme. Look real close and you’ll see that Steve is experiencing scare number 773 of the trip! You know any other park would theme their pirate ship to well, pirates, or a boat, or maybe even a banana. But not BonBon-Land! Though TP doesn’t care about the boobs today! Finally we’ve found some boobs! Do Slides get any more Super Fun than this one? Jason doesn’t know quite what to expect from the Super DUPER Fun Happy Slide. Hey, it’s our resident Flower Pot Men! The Road Show is in town! That’s why there’s a bit of a line for this ride. I’m telling you, it’s real candy! Something that EVERY park needs – a ball pit. We spent an age in here attacking each other with our balls. Lou’s special, so special. Mike loves crawling down dark dank holes. Have you ever seen a more trauamatised pair in your life? No? I didn’t think so! Mike is saving the earth one tiny polar bear at a time. Don’t squish me giant Santa! Please?! I never knew you could play the guitar, Mike! Scottish Steve has roots in this place. I’ll prove it later. New since my last visit here is something that every place should have and that’s a FANTASY WORLD! Steve at the time didn’t realized the cataclysmic dangers of sitting next to Ben on a water ride. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to go Beaver Rafting. SKLOOSH! Here's some porn for Elissa. Fat boat!!! I’ve rode my fair share of chicken themed Disk-Os at every other park that has them so I sat this one out. Speaking of Shawn… This shot is right out the Shawn Goode school of photography. I mean does it get more non-PC and suggestive than this? Whilst there definitely wasn’t the same amount of boobs that we saw last year there was still plenty of that non-PC stuff to make you laugh! Another spinning flat ride and another photo of people who AREN’T me riding! Mike loves coming on these trips so that he can hang around. Super Fun Happy Slide POV!!! Super Fun Happy Slides greatly excite Russ seeing as on the Non-Super Fun Happy ones his feet typically hit the ground before he starts moving. ”There’s definitely more week old fruit up there? Right?” Which works out pretty good for us! You’ll find that most parks in Denmark have at least one “play area”. I love how BonBon-Land take these bog standard rides and then stick huge and hilarious things like this right on top of them! Look, no hands on the chair swing! These aren’t your everyday parkgoers. Stacey, how hot is your man here? Bet you wish you were here now! Welcome to Lou's Extremely Made Over home. Brad always likes to partake in a bit of communal airwanking. Say hello to everyone on the world’s longest train! New this year is Viktor Von Doom the ride! Credit for me! Woo! These people are not special. Not one bit. Lou enjoys squeezing into small spaces. "Stroke your chin if you played with yourself this morning!" Yeah, it does that upside down thing that coasters are supposed to do. This is the one that started it all for the Eurofighters. It’s a good ride, though you can tell how far they’ve come from this. Still in ERT, we’ve moved onto Vild-Svinnet – the Eurofighter! Ben’s breakfast pear didn’t quite enjoy morning ERT. He ate it anyway. But not because he likes snacks. Spinny, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin. Russ and Bill are excited for some crazy spinning action. This ride is great, especially during ERT when you can try out all those different people combos to get maximum spin. Next up for ERT was the Gerstlauer spinner Han-Katten. Erik just loves he part where he gets smothered with fart. I can’t wait to see some Dog Fart in the Raw! What better ERT to start the trip off with than Dog Fart? We’re at BonBon-Land, and of course we’re in the park way before anyone else!

I'm pretty confident that the coaster is going to be in a similar vein to Mine Train Ulven at Bakken, which is no bad thing in my view! I'm looking forward to visiting the park soon and getting a look at the construction site myself.

I was planning on listening in live but for some reason I actually fell asleep at a reasonable hour last night so I downloaded and listened to the mp3 on the way to work this morning. I really liked the live chat! Kind of reminded me of those talks on the last bus ride of a trip where we'd talk about future trips! Seemed pretty organised too and was very informative. Hope you guys enjoyed it and will consider of these again in the future if its appropriate. Quick question about hotels since I bit of a hotel geek, are you planning on staying at any of the same hotels on Mid-America that we did on Midwest? Just want to say thanks for doing this and I can't wait to send in my deposits for the two US trips and Europe!

Hello everyone, welcome to yet another Divv Photo TR. You might not have been expecting this one for a few months since my Europe TR was more of a mid-season replacement last year. However, I have a potential trip to California coming up in December and if I don’t do this TR before that trip then one of the trips will not get a TR (evidenced by my lack of Orlando Halloween TR last year). And I took way too many photos in Scandi not to do one of these. And when I say I took way too many photos, I really mean it. I think in Europe I took something like 800, in Midwest maybe 300. We do not know why these rules exist, only that they do and that we must never question them. With all of that legal mumbo jumbo out the way let’s get to the TR! Our Scandinavian Adventure begins in the luxurious confines of British Airways’ swanky new Terminal 5 where about a fifth of the trip goers were congregating to take the same flight over to Copenhagen. I’ll let the photos tell the rest of this story… Yes, we’re at Copenhagen! Time for some TPR insanity!!! TPDave only buys liquor that matches his clothes so this was just perfect for him. Looks like Denmark to me! Quality. Of course these guys all load up on the free beer! Yay we’re in the sky!!! Thanks BA! Brad loves going down… escalators. (Get used to captions like that) Okay, enough messing about the airport, let’s go to Scandi!!! This device is very important for making sure all the planes get where they’re going and don’t explode and stuff. Mike likes his food uncomplicated so he will only EAT at EAT. Did you know when this little bear dude was born? Tell Southern Steve and he’ll give you some chocolate. Seriously! Mike is one of the many iPhone snobs we have with us! Steve? Steve? Has anyone seen Steve??? According to Lou these are the best hand dryers in the world. They use plane engines or something. How good is it that I can practice all my faiths in one place?! OMG, how skinny has TPDave gotten??? Let’s see if he still looks like this by the end of the trip! First stop – THE BAR! (Where else for the Brit Crew plus special guests Miles & Michael???)
