  1. ^^ I know. It was to point out that you can't really compare Eejanaika and the Smiler. I just added the point that it was a pretty gimmick record it had.
  2. I never been sick thanks to a ride. But I know myself If I think the ride was great even if it got me sick I do it again and again and again.
  3. ^ Eejanaika doesn't inverted 14 times the Smiler does. Eejanaika inverts around 4 times and they just counted every inversion and train flip as a inversion in the Guinness book of world records. We could say the record is gimmick. I must say it's pretty sick 14 inversions but it won't scare me away. I'm going this year specially for it and I'm quite hyped about it.
  4. With all the new developments on the ride Someone was nice enough to chance his No Limit version and uploaded it on Youtube. It misses the indoor section but we don't mind, right? Enjoy and Smile.
  5. Thought the same way but then you miss the 8 shaped inversion between the inverted drop and the Batwing. So it's difficult to say if there is a logical follow up of inversions.
  6. It comes further outside than I thought. Looks good already nice little teaser for 2014.
  7. ^ I suspect it's the 13th inversions (barrel roll as I called it). Since I don't know I called it Barrel Roll.
  8. ^ It says on the Smiler site 165 seconds (2:45 Minutes) Must say for a Roller Coaster it has a decent time.
  9. I was seven and went to my home park. After one question I got so curious about coasters I wanted to know more and more. It took me literally years before I was brave enough to ride though. (9 Without inversion, 14 with Inversions.)
  10. Inversions spotted in the game sneak peak, pictures, and plans: 1. Indoor heart line. (Sneak Peak, Pictures) (Possible Secret Element?) Lift 1. 2. Inverted drop 1. (Sneak Peak, Pictures) 3. 8 shaped inversion (first half) (Sneak Peak, Plans) 4. 8 shaped inversion (second half) (Sneak Peak, Plans) 5. Bat-wing (first half) (Sneak Peak, Pictures, Plans) 6. Bat-wing (second half) (Sneak Peak, Pictures, Plans) 7. Corkscrew (Sneak Peak) Lift 2 (Vertical) 8. Inverted drop 2. (Sneak Peak, Pictures) 9. Sea-serpent roll (first half) (Sneak Peak, Plans) 10. Sea-serpent roll (second half) (Sneak Peak, Plans) 11. Cobra roll (first half) (Sneak Peak, Pictures, Plans) 12. Cobra roll (second half) (Sneak Peak, Pictures, Plans) 13. Barrel roll. (Sneak Peak) 14. Barrel roll. (Sneak Peak) Brakes. Here a top view: Blue and Yellow are the inversions. So 14 Confirmed inversions all to happen.
  11. Wrap it up and sent it towards Sandusky Ohio and get done with the track so test can begin. Looking good.
  12. From CoasterLive official facebook page. It's the second Inverted drop of the Smiler which means they have half of the 14 inversions inverted. Also Yesterday TowersTimes had a aerial update for the smiler whiteout the yellow boxes, and guess what? Nothing there than a barrel roll. Later I post this aerial update here when it's public. It is still rumored to have some secret element after the barrel roll that they're going to keep secret till the end.
  13. I have agree Coaster freak is right. Five years back I was like: "England man Love to go for the roller coaster but hard to get there probably never will. "Today I'm like: "England this year is nothing compared to next year America. Love my hobby." If you have the will to go to England for Alton Towers you eventually will get there and you still have a big chance this ride is there when you come.
  14. ^ Yeah I must say I may have formulated that post different. But this was one of many post today that I read today which was already sure sometime ago. So something snapped within me and I had to let it out (unfortunately on you). But after the: it was more general then to you. I must apologize for snapping as it wasn't my real intention. And I must say this is quite the project you need to follow to really know whats going on, I have to say that. Again sorry for my Beauvoir.
  15. ^Are you even following the project? Because that is known for like a month or three ago. Can people please read post because I fear some people don't even want to follow something in detail.
  16. ^ The game trailer called it a inverted drop. This is the first drop of the ride much better way to invert than the Swarms first drop. Edit: Updated the ride layout previous post.
  17. corrected: Sorry was wrong here. Inversions I spotted in the game sneak peak and pictures, construction pictures and plans: 1. Indoor heart line. 2. Inverted drop 1. 3. 8 shaped inversion (first half) 4. 8 shaped inversion (second half) 5. Bat-wing (first half) 6. Bat-wing (second half) 7. Corkscrew 8. Inverted drop 2. 9. Sea-serpent roll (first half) 10. Sea-serpent roll (second half) 11. Cobra roll (first half) 12. Cobra roll (second half) 13. Barrel roll. 14. Barrel roll. This ride got my attention. What to expect more? what is the secret Element? Only if it was summer already I'm ready to get corrected. Here a update with the game:
  18. 5 Mind manipulating elements what on this green earth could those be? So it's safe to say TowersTimes has a reason to cover that part as it still could have something there. . Getting exited to go to England this summer.
  19. With the plans and Game combined I come up with already 12 inversions giving the possibility to have 2 more on some places. I grabbed a top view of the original plan (assuming they just add inversions nothing more) and added all the Inversions on it: Red: Station, First half inversions less track. Green: Second half inversion less track, brakes. Blue: First half inversions. Yellow: Second half inversions. Like I said this is based on the original plans in combinations to what we saw in the game snap shots. So very likely this will be true. If it does has 12 inversions it really does break the upcoming record of 11 inversions on Journey of the Stars roller coaster.
  20. ^ Rita is not a Secret Weapon. SW3: Nemesis. SW4: Oblivion. SW5: Air. SW6: Th13teen. SW7: the Smiler. Rita comes from the time the park wanted to get rid of the Secret Weapons and later decided to bring it back. Rita is also much cheaper then the Secret Weapons. That said I totally agree with the rest. People get exited by the possibilities of SW7 secret world first feature and go over the top. Still there are people that can't rule out the Washing machine element. Can't wait for next week when the game is supposed to come out giving a detailed look to the lay-out.
  21. Yeah I'm starting to think the World first part is something with the lay-out. So no Trick tracks or special trains. Wouldn't mind that if they do something like that and the coverage is just for the barrel roll inside the building. Like I heard once on a IAAPA coverage: "As longs as the rides kicks ass has crazy airtime goes upside down we will be fine with that." (Fits perfect for the Smiler.)
  22. ^ It's called looking for attention. It could be that Alton Towers is just promoting the ride like this. Also this picture isn't really great after you took a better look at it. It seriously shows nothing but a messy steel maze and it could be that the Secret Element is there but we can't see it. I must say I really like that this ride has secrets yet to be revealed but it kinda gets to my head now. I want some sort of idea what we can expect now, literally nothing is sure except some stats (Like inversions are missing) and the build track which we saw completely. Heard the Game will not be released till after Mid term so between 25th till 28th. Just something I picked up, and hope is true since it provides at least the outside lay-out.
  23. ^ That Inversion may now have been confirmed with that support. Also a picture from the air occurred from Tatenhill Aviation LtD. Strangely there seems to be some normal track in that tunnel. Two options left, No Washing machine element or Washing Machine element is later on in the tunnel. Getting interesting over there looking forward to see how this turns out.
  24. Look to the left support guy's that one looks for a inversion. On Towerstime they believed to have seen a Snake Dive on top of the first drop. Also with the Barrel roll/corkscrew inside that makes already 12 believed Inversions and then there are some more believed Inversions like a Inline twist/barrel roll between the cobra roll and the brakes. Believed now there are 14 inversions in total. What do you think about 14 inversions on the Smiler?
  25. I seriously think: New Texas Giant. Iron Rattler. Hades 360. Superman, Escape from Krypton. Mr. Freeze reverse blast. are all bad names. Come on this is just laziness. Just pick a coaster do something with it and give some lame ass extra name to it.
