  1. PSi: The water barriers are the road signs, but yeah i'll look in to adding some larger barriers. Also I will do my best to try and incorporate some diagonal pieces in there. Update: I've started another project (i've got to stop doing that). I usually just build a layout and carry it forward to the point that I just build a couple of supports and add some tid-bits of scenery. But this time i'm determined to follow it through and turn it into something decent. The main focus is a flying rollercoaster but after a while I built a wooden coaster on the outskirt of the map (which is fairly small). I did a little hack and added steel supports (using the mine train coaster). Anyway, I then went on to build a small area which I really like. I have been experimenting on the map too, so progress is quite slow. Anyway here are some pictures: This is the overall layout of the design. I'm quite happy with it, but anything you don't like please let me know of. The layout of the woody. It has lots of little airtime hills and again if there are any elements you don't like tell me, so I can improve it. A little seating area where guests can watch the fountain and landscape. I quite like it because I feel it's some of my better work. All of the screens are unfinished and i'm sorry for any bad quality images, I have my game set to 1024x768 so this is probably the cause.
  2. I just found out that Mother Teresa died the day I was born
  3. Lovely screen. The station building looks really nice. But perhaps move the cacti away from the path a bit?
  4. Thanks for the comment. I'm not very good at foliage, so i'm probably going to try and do that last. This actually started out as a way of improving my RCT skills at NE. Anyway, I have a few new pictures, and an updated one. I also have a small teaser of a Dive Machine I started recently. This is a picture of the Entrance Arch. A small helix where I have started the first supports for the coaster. The Hot Dog stand, now with an awning. Just a little something. A small snippet of the post-MCBR drop and the splashdown on the Dive Machine.
  5. The screens are really nice and I agree that you should add footers (if you have them).
  6. Yeah, scrap what I said about the supports being different earlier and stick with the Griffon style ones. And remember to include footers (if you have them in your scenery). But great work otherwise!
  7. They're the names of the parts of the Top Gear test track, which probably not-so-coincidentally begins a new series on Sunday! The layout's pretty accurate too! Great work!
  8. For the supports don't just go for one look on all of them. Have some variety. For example, the lift hill can have the A shaped supports and the /| shaped ones. The actual dive itself should have the ones that go diagonally both ways. But of course, this is your coaster, so you can choose whichever way you want to have them. I'm simply pointing out what I think is the best way to make them realistic. Don't forget to have the horizontal piece going through and some footers (again for realism). Also I think you should have the wooden catwalk. MOD EDIT: Before offering to help him with his ride's support, how about taking a diversion into proper Grammar? I've highlighted a few areas that need improvement. R.D.- GFMT EDIT: Thank you for making me aware of my mistakes and they have since been corrected. I don't usually make mistakes (or at least I think I don't) but must have forgot to double check. Sorry for my negligence and I hope to not be of disruption to the community again.
  9. If you want a working Dive loop (meaning the coaster animation works), you can have the half-loop, then a quarter loop followed by a vertical twist and back to ground level. I can merge that for you if you want me to. And i'd be happy to help later on in the project!
  10. I can merge the Dive loop in if you want. And for the supports, I usually research images of supports and mix them up a bit.
  11. Does Vampire have a Dive loop? Because if not, you should add one. Anyway, I think the supports for Vampire could be a bit better and you could perhaps add some wooden supports to El Diablo's lift hill. Other than that this is a great update! Love the poster! Also, out of interest what is the height of Vampire?
  12. Love everything about that go karts screen. And the sign in the third one is fantastic. Can't wait for the release!
  13. Aside from finishing Chestnut Lake for funkeymon, I also have various other projects. Some I started work on way back in September/October, while others are relatively new. Instead of making lots of different topics, I decided to place them all into one big Workroom. I will be adding other projects onto this as I go along. Some of these have been shown on NE, while others haven't yet been revealed. Anyway I thought I might start off with Scream, a design that I started in late September. I kept building on it for about a month, but then I left it for a while. I have recently picked it up and have started adding/improving things. I hope I can soon get onto the foliage (that's my weakest point in parkmaking) and finish it soon. The overview (the right side still needs work) A picture of the layout A small eating area and a Gladiator game Another eating area with a hot-dog stand at the top That's all for now but i'll be posting a lot more screens of other projects soon!
  14. Construction Update! The park have announced that they've finished construction on the new rollercoaster! The layout and station have been complete, but they say that there is still a bit more to do in the way of paths, theming elements and shops/stalls. This new Intamin Launched rollercoaster, called Speed, propels riders up to 107mph, taking them up 345ft of track and bringing them right back down again! The double-station coaster has been tested and management is ready to begin construction on the surrounding area. We took a helicopter into the skies today to get some lovely pictures of the track layout and the station (please ignore the entrance/exit huts, as they will be removed): The skyshot of the enormous coaster The grand double-sided station The park also announced that Thor, the parks B&M Hyper Coaster, is soon to be demolished to make way for a brand new coaster to be built later on in the year. The park have not yet told the press what the new coaster is but have promised that it will be a crowd-pleaser. Thor is currently SBNO and the park hopes to start construction as soon as possible. In other news, the Gift Shop has received a total refurbishment, some toilets and an ATM have been placed, and a new bridge has been built to connect to children's zone to a new area to be built on the east side of the lake, where Thor is standing. The new Gift Shop The bridge will allow guests a clear view of the lake. Toilets The ATM Machine
  15. I'd go for a compact B&M invert and a GCI. I think if you're going for a family-owned park, starting out small might be a good idea. Then over time add more coasters and rides. PM me if you need any layouts (or hacking help). On a side note, I was thinking of making a 'Layout Thread' where people can just post layouts for feedback.
  16. Family Owned. It would have a much nicer feel and you wouldn't have to worry about cloned rides like Goliath or BTR.
  17. I'd go for number one because the sign is nice. But maybe too much white?
  18. I think if you didn't have the WW/TT objects in there it might have scored more. Does this park contain WW/TT objects?
  19. Luckily, a program called ParkDat does just that. As long as you haven't used all of the scenery items, then you can replace unused objects with other roof types. It may take a while though, since you have to know the DAT names of all of the objects. PM me if you want the file (I can't seem to add it to the post).
  20. I like it but you use that roof far too much. Some more roof types would be complimentary to the park, because all i'm seeing now is alot of biulding with that same roof and it's getting very boring.
  21. Love it. Really nice atmosphere. I hope you can freeze some staff to look like Ride Ops for the rollercoasters and rides.
  22. I had that problem once. I just uninstalled my TT/WW expansion packs and I was fine.
  23. AThat first screen looks fantastic. I hope you're able to stay motivated enough to finish this, because it looks like there's a lot of work still to do. Also, that log flume is fantastic. The custom cacti look nice.
