Glad you enjoyed the report! unfortunately, no Bears doing "titanic". . LOL. . they were doing "other things" oh, Nick's not a "bear" at all. . but it's a very inclusive group. heck, there were not only straight women cruising with our group, but also straight married couples and thank you about Mom (as noted in the 1st post, she told us to go). . .yeah, here's why I had to go to Houston on Sunday (for the internment and the unveiling): -

glad to hear that's the tough part. the ER Dr. told me if no improvement in 10-14 days, it likely will never improve. so , of course, nervous, and hope I start seeing something going on in the next few days! -

These are some great pics. wow.. you have quite the eye! Thanks for sharing, I love seeing places I've not been, and since Hubby is not a HP fan (and can't do "extreme" rides, he always vetoes pics to Universal.. .i know. . boooo). Love these tho. . so pretty! -

well. . at least the Bell's Palsy waited until *AFTER* our cruise to show up. likely caused by stress (we had to go to Houston on Sunday to inter Mom's ashes, so when this started on Sat. evening, couldn't do anything about it until Sunday night when we got back post 5pm - and then 4+ hours in emergency room). the ER docs also said it's likely tied to the Novocain shot I had at the Dentist on Thurs for a crown put in.. tho Dental sites *deny* there's any connection, despite a lot of stuff online where folks say they developed BP after dental work. The ER docs did think that the needle the dentist uses irritates the nerve, and presto BP. hopefully this will resolve, tho right now, i have to keep my left eye taped shut, since the lid (or anything on the left side of my face) doesn't work. if i had gone on the cruise like this, I wonder if I'd have gotten flirted with more or less? It's a LITTLE "Elvis" / sexy , no? -

What??? Not even multiple, back to back.....cocktails???? THAT I can do (and I'm sure multiple re-rides. . just likely not back to back on the same ride more than 2 times in a row). . but who knows? maybe I'll be able to! and there's always "Bench, the ride" if I want to sit while you reride! -

even the crappy food! LOL yeah, I'm ok with splurging. .this is the first Fast Pass/Fast Lane/Qbot thing I've ever gotten at a park, since typically we do multiple days anyways, and I tend to be 1 and done (especially on things my Hubby can't ride, so I ride once, then we move on). I expect I still won't be up for multiple-back-to-back things, but multiple re-rides thruout the day? I'm sure I can swing that! (hey. . I'm old). but since it's the first time I've ever used this kind of pass, I'm hoping it will be easy to figure out! and we'll get at least a ride on most everything on Coastermania! day anyways.. plus that amazing sounding boat trip for pics! -
thanks Bill. as noted, I've already started the steroids, and the anti-viral. . hopefully they will help cut down on the 2-3 week recovery time. . . if I do recover. we shall see.

Whee. . . I realized while bushing my teeth on Sat night, that 1/2 my face was going numb. I couldn't do anything about it on Sunday (since we had to go to Houston for my Mom's Ashes internment ceremony), but at the urging of MANY of my FB friends, went to the ER last night. many, many $$, and hours later, diagnosed with Bell's Palsy (which I knew it was, since I've had it before, and why I wasn't concerned it was a stroke). . . anyways. . on the Steroids already, but still progressing downwards, as now the entire left side of my face has no movement at all. made it a bitch to eat starting yesterday evening. . . . so maybe I'll drop more weight? (trying to find the bright side). from the emergency room.. the paralysis is worse this morning:

Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you. we'll do that on Sat, since Sunday is a "lay around Breakers and relax" day. . so if we get the craps, we're close to toilets -

in just about 2 months, we're gonna be spending 3+ days at CP. I'm gonna eat at many places, including, I'm sure, that buffet place. and I expect my only complaint (me being from Texas and all) is going to be about the Bar-B-Que from BBQ and Brews the night we're doing it. -

thanks. . yeah, she's a lot of work, and she's expensive as hell. . . but her quality of life is still very good (she adapts quickly to challenges, still loves to go on walks, play, and she still poops and eats normally), and as long as her quality of life is good? then we'll continue to love her and care for her. (and glad you liked the trip report!) -

Cant wait to see what's on the table for Coastermania! (actually, I don't really care if we get anything "bonus" regarding Mean Streak or not.. . I've never been to CP before, and it's going to awesome regardless. . . . ) -

HAHAHA. . .yeah, I still do that too: I occasionally feel the "phantom buzz" of a pager (from back in 1999) that I used to wear on the Test Floor, since it was so noisy out there if they needed to get hold of me they paged. Hard to change an ingrained reaction! -
it's not. but for my "rant" i'll say if he's not old enough to actually vote anyways (and he would have been EIGHT when Obama was elected the 1st time)?. . then the opinion is completely invalid regardless, and should simply be ignored.

The Alamo will be MUCH smaller than you are expecting it to be (but you'll be right there if on the Riverwalk). . so recommended, and you *can* spend a few hours there, if you read all the placards and history. the San Antonio Museum of Art is decent, tho I'm more a fan of the Witte Museum - they tend to have really interesting exhibits, and we've done several trips from Austin just to visit the Witte. http://www.wittemuseum.org/

is that not the shorthand for lockers (and yes, I typed the "L" word and let the filter do it's thing) -
we just got off a Freedom Class ship (Liberty of the Seas) that's one bump up from Voyager class. I have a review on here "No Lions or Tigers, but Bears, oh my". . where I talk about (among other things), the food, and amenities. slightly more on Liberty, bigger ship. . but similar. if Giovanni's is offered, I'd recommend it, it's worth the upcharge. As is Chops (we heard). Johnny Rocket's and Sabor?. . not so much.

^ if you're staying near Riverwalk. . be sure to check out "County Line" bar-b-que. . . one of the best BBQ joints in S.A. https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-county-line-san-antonio-2?hrid=vbHybGHjda01eqPNO476HQ&osq=county+line+riverwalk ignore the one-off "bad" reviews. . they are known for the Brisket, Ribeye, and homemade bread w/ honey butter.

^ fingers crossed.. would be great to meet y'all! as Bill said, we have FastLane + for that Sat. . so might be perfect, if Michael doesn't mind riding "bench: the Ride" a bunch of times hope y'all can make it. as to Arno's. . .the next cruise we're going to do with him (likely) is in March 2018, sailing out of Miami. (ABC Islands). Point your friends to this trip report, and if they think it sounds like fun, IM me and I'll give ya the link for more info). -
um. . . you might want to look again? didn't say "you're wrong". . .offered you suggestions for other classic albums that you should listen to. if I was trying to prove you were "wrong". . I would have listed ONE album I thought was better than the Black Parade. so here's a few more suggestions too: "the Joshua Tree" - U2 "the Ramones" -- the Ramones "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" - David Bowie "Dark Side of the Moon" (or "the Wall", both are great) - Pink Floyd "London Calling" - the Clash
