  1. Tentatively, we're gonna hit up the park next Sunday (Sat is that music festival). not expecting to be able to get on WW. . really just expecting to drive down, eat lunch, and maybe get a ride on Poltergeist or IR. but hopefully we can swing it, and get some pics
  2. As to Melt! I had the tomato soup (more of a thick paste) and grilled cheese to dip into it. it was really good, and the qty was quite big for the cost/theme park food. I went with TBPony, and her Mom, and I think they really liked it too.. . Liz?
  3. "you're" and I don't go. . that's kind of the point.
  4. I have to assume this is going to be assigned seats. Iron Rattler is already chaos from folks trying to arrange so that their group can all ride the same train at the same time (that queue house is nuts, some giant supports in the center of several of the middle rows, so it's hard to get lines to form. . .Fiesta tried to remedy with a "grouper" at the top of the ramp, but what happens is that everyone goes to the front or back (lengthy wait queues set up for them) that then block the whole rest of the line, so the middle cars never seem to have much of a line, since the people are blocked (either from other humans, or from the supports). . .if that makes any sense. but yeah. . totally see this as there's going to be a Six Flags staff member at the entrance to queue house, basically putting folks in certain lines. we'll see in just a week
  5. that IS awesome. . don't remember seeing a map like that in the Museum, so it's very cool to see. If I could have a unicorn, what i'd wish for over at that open pad? Move most of the rides from Kiddie Kingdom over to Planet Snoop (expanded into Shoot the Rapids, or if for 2019, into where Dinosaurs Alive! is now). then in that larger pad, install a flume, like you see on the pleasure piers in NJ or Gaveston. . . extending from beach out in over by where Melt is (and some of the kiddie rides were). I know that won't happen, but it's nice to dream it's far more likely, if CP gets another flume, it would go where Shoot the Rapids was. .as I'd guess a lot of the infrastructure is already there on the ground for a flume (pumps, plumbing, etc. . )
  6. Don't forget, they still have all that space where Shoot the Rapids was to work with too. so I'd expect something to happen there too. . maybe. as to C-F-a . . hey, there are plenty of other place in the park to eat, so if they wanna bring them in as a vendor, I have no problem w/ Cedar Fair doing so. But yeah, i won't be eating there, and pretty much have explained why.
  7. would be nice if they put in a dark ride there, but if they want to stick with the boardwalk theming, I could absolutely see them moving some of the carnival type games over there, and then dropping in a flat (or maybe dark ride) across from MaxAir, where they pulled the games from. most likely, I suspect we're looking at a flat tho. . maybe a Scrambler. not recalling, but does CP have a scrambler? They do. It’s by the Matterhorn and Corkscrew. LOL. .yep, I remembered and was editing my post when you responded. thanks. thinking maybe a Trabant then?
  8. would be nice if they put in a dark ride there, but if they want to stick with the boardwalk theming, I could absolutely see them moving some of the carnival type games over there, and then dropping in a flat (or maybe dark ride) across from MaxAir, where they pulled the games from. most likely, I suspect we're looking at a flat tho. . maybe a Scrambler. not recalling, but does CP have a scrambler? EDIT: oh yeah, they do. . near Matterhorn. What else does one find on a boardwalk. . maybe a Trabant?
  9. you're welcome, "self hating homosexual" (I guess we're giving each other nicknames now?) (and if you think your rights aren't in danger of (or currently) being taken away, you simply haven't been paying attention).
  10. Well with a company so successful like chic fil a is, there is a reason its coming back. Oh and I am welcomed in there with zero problems everytime. (I'm gay) You're supporting a company that donates to causes that want to take away your rights. small steps in the recent past have improved, but for the most part their viewpoint has not changed. I'll never spend a penny there, and it's a shame you view it as "they haven't affected ME so it doesn't matter attitude" but hey, more power to you.
  11. you should point out that we rented the all day one, and then only you went back to it once (and that was to empty it out when you went back to the room for a break). so all in all, it was kind of a waste. (hats just went down front of shirt, and no problem riding anything). I'm wondering if I should invest in a fanny pack type thing for the next time I'm at CP, since saw lots of folks riding with those strapped on, and just not even bother renting Fluffy Bunny.

    Big boy seats

basically, a seat restraint has to reach a certain level of closure to allow a passenger to ride (sometimes they use a green light on the side of the train to ensure the restraint is closed enough, and sometimes, it's "clicks" where they require a certain number of clicks on the restraint). "Stapling" is referred to when the operators in the station lean onto a restraint (sometimes several of them physically pushing down) to get the restraint to the "safe" level. it happens with some larger folks, or those with body types that don't exactly fit the design of the cars. if they can successfully get you in the seat (ie: you've sucked in your belly enough they could push the restraint down), then you've been "stapled". . not comfortable at all, and not going to be a fun ride.. but you'd be able to ride. that's just the way I would define it. . . others might have a different answer edit: I've also seen "Stapling" referred to attendant simply pushing the restraints down as tightly as they will go.. which some fans despise, because it takes away any "airtime" moments, if the restraints are keeping you so firmly in seat.
  13. ditto. . and in the shark aquarium/display, don't miss the room off to the right where you can climb behind the jaws display to get this pic:
  14. Georgia isn't open for a month still? the Texas SF (Fiesta, Over Texas) open tomorrow for the season. (2/24)
  15. considering the lack of food, and the amount of drinks (and the 24 hours awake). . I was expecting a LOT more pics like this one: LOL. . glad you had such a great time!
  16. when we were at BGT just about 2 years ago, we didn't even realize that Tidal Wave had been there (we apparently went just weeks after it shut down). so I'll give them credit for hiding the fact that there HAD been something there (as opposed to Gwazi, which was sitting right there in the middle of the park with the entrance "disguised" with planters now, we DID actually comment how little there seemed to be right there, since there was a train stop, it seemed odd that only Shiekra and Stanley Falls was there. .but we didn't know there was a shuttered ride. agreed that it's a shame that Seaworld is having budget issues (it's obvious to me the closures/shutdowns are due to money issues).. . but I'm glad we got to go before some of the really big closures hit (I loved Jambo Junction area)
  17. Wanted to go Saturday but gonna be raining so guess I'll go Sunday. Not sure if I'll have someone with me or not. Ok so I'm vegetarian, don't hate me. I've emailed them a few times about getting a veggie patty in the burger place and they made it sound like it's a great idea. Do they do that to everyone that emails suggestions? Lol Obviously not getting my veggie patty this year. yeah, the best you are gonna get is a "salad" as a Vegetarian option. that said, I do have a Vegetarian friend who goes to SFoG quite a bit, and what she does is pack a frozen veg pattie with her (I think she's partial to Morningstar farms), and when they go to eat, she just asks the restaurant to heat it up on the grill for her. now, not sure if this only works for her (she's one of those girls who with a smile usually gets what she wants ).. but worth a shot? It's been a while since I asked her, but I *think* she told me she had asked guest services if it was OK the 1st time she did it, and they said it was fine. . .but yeah, maybe a suggestion that would help?
  18. because I just came across this. . out in June, and thought of you immediately: (Series 2 set, (Pete, Soldier, and Chip & Dale) and dunno if you're into the Funko figures, but if so, there's these too, if you hadn't seen them:
  19. hmmm. . . can't wait to check it out. Not that "into" the theme as proposed, but always willing to give it a shot before deciding. (and lord knows, it can't be worse than Europe in the Air was)
  20. from Urban Dictionary: Dank Dank, is an adjective which is over-used by people in general and mostly by people trying to appear cool to their stoner friends.
  21. quoting for Posterity so history shows your fantastic debating skills.
  22. You just created a straw man. None of us are claiming B@M coasters aren't good. They just aren't as forceful as RMC coasters. Some of us enjoy of-the wall airtime, especially skinny boys like me. If they don't stable you, you have a lot of room to literally float if you are my size. I have my preferences, but if you are saying B@M is better than RMC, that isn't popular opinion. Wow, I honestly don't know how you got any of that from what I posted. Did you actually read what I posted? I never said anything about B&M coasters not being good. I never even alluded to the idea that B&M is better. I was responding to posts like and addressing the idea that has permeated this thread and other forums that Twisted Cyclone is somehow a lesser coaster due to its size and length. Also, I've never had to be stabled at a park, maybe you should quit horsing around. May I ask why you are so easily triggered? Dude, what the f*ck are you even talking about? You gotta be trollin. Your initial response to my post made absolutely no sense so I explained in further detail what I meant. Now I'm triggered for doing so? Try a little harder. I was willing to give you the benefit of a serious response but now I know for sure you're just trollin. Bye. You insulted me. I'm not horsing around. I state my opinion and you come and make an insult. People in this thread are accusing me of being a troll for simply disagreeing with the post elders of this thread. It' s incompetent of you, a grown man, to insult children because you can't handle yourself. When I came to this website, I was looking for friendly people who could handle differing opinions. Instead I was met with a wave of easily offended coaster enthusiast who swear when someone ask them a simple question. Why are you so easily triggered? I guess what i'm trying to ask is, why do you insult people for disagreeing with you. I saw a comment encouraging your insult. WHY can't you just be a like able person? I'm not "trollin" , i'm asking you if you can be more tolerable! you are coming across 100% as a troll. and in only 27 posts, you've introduced yourself to this great community and we see you for who you are presenting yourself as. so, really.. if you have a problem with everyone? the problem is right there in the mirror dude. Maybe check the attitude a bit, and try to start fresh? you know, since TPR really is one of the friendliest and best communities of Theme Park enthusiasts on the web?
