Yeah, that. I don't think anyone should be expecting anything 500' + unless they decide to go that direction for 2020 and the 150th anniversary. I think the Sandusky Register leak was legit. 223 (?) seems like a good size for a Dive Coaster, although I was hoping for something around 300 being a spoiled fan of Cedar Point. For 2020, I'd expect something that one ups Millennium Force and Fury 325. Why do I think that? They are already talking about 2020 being a huge year.

High Roller is not going to randomly collapse. Even though it's the oldest coaster in the park, it's perfectly safe and structurally sound. It looks like they're preparing to pour concrete for the new path. It's really starting to look nice! Finally a decent water park

I can't wait to use this Platinum pass to find out! But I think Breakers Plunge will be more thrilling to the GP.

I'm also likely making a trip to the park this year. Carowinds was never really on my radar, either. I have the platinum pass, might as well use it. This coaster looks pretty incredible.

I think a bigger version of Fury 325 would be great for Cedar Point. and a 220+ foot tall Dive Coaster.

Better hit up those parks repeatedly to make it worth the cost!

Magnum is a bit painful but it's an enjoyable coaster. I'm 6'1 and get a ton of airtime on those return bunny hops. Still, it's pretty far down my list of Cedar Point coasters. 1.) Maverick 2.) Dragster 3.) Millennium 4.) GateKeeper 5.) Raptor 6.) Wicked Twister 7.) Magnum

You know you're arguing with something who spent 3 years operating Mean Streak right? Just because it's not in the top 10 doesn't mean it doesn't put up solid numbers. I agree though, if they do get something between next year and 2020, I'd hope it's a conversion to that beautiful hunk of garbage Mean Streak. Because it does get a line even when other coasters are open. Just because you visit the park frequently doesn't mean you know how popular it is. So popular that it's not even in the top 10 despite high capacity, and running in the rain. It's hard to imagine, but it's obvious they would if they got the chance. Interesting comments from Bryan Edwards in this article www.ohio.com/blogs/airtime/airtime-1.489637/cedar-point-relocating-rides-for-future-expansion-video-of-good-time-theatre-demolition-1.568876 make me think this Dive Coaster may be the last coaster until 2020, where Cedar Point is going to get something huge.

I think they are trying to throw us off after the Register leak. Hopefully a Mean Streak upgrade is in the near future for the park as well. Having a Dive Machine and RMC Mean Streak sounds like the best of both worlds.

I've heard Blue Streak's Airtime is insane. I think if they can get a good non-looping wooden coaster, followed by a looping one, their line up would be stellar and would blow MM out of the water. On second thought, why not compete with Magic Mountain with Gemini? I know it's unrealistic as it's already hybrid, but why not make an inversion on the current layout of Gemini? They can avoid the looping wooden coaster and save the spot for something more innovative (B&M 4D anyone?!) In coaster lineup, who currently has the edge in your mind - Cedar Point or Magic Mountain? You said it yourself, the Gemini idea is unrealistic. In saying that, the plot of land that's in discussion seems to be shaping up to be a B&M dive machine.

WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT #4?! This is the first I'm hearing of it.

You're going to have to wait. That ride has the longest lines in the park! I'm staying at Hotel Breakers for 2 nights and will be at the park for 3 days. I will be able to ride it multiple times haha. CAN'T WAIT! You have plenty of time to hit up all the great coasters! Just avoid Raptor and GateKeeper in the morning. I've never seen a coaster that has as long a wait as Raptor does early in the day, and have almost no line by the late afternoon. Also recommend hitting up Millennium Force right at closing, to get one of the final night rides. Enjoy America's Rockin' Roller Coast!

Good to know. Any other opinions here on wing rider vs dive coasters?! and I didn't even get on any coasters last season, so my mind is utter mush at this point.

What a silly statement. I assure you, GateKeeper's feelings won't be hurt. This is a forum where you compare all sorts of things. People spent months comparing Leviathan to I305 prior to them opening. People have been on both wing riders and dive coasters. But if that question concerns you I'll ask another, "What coaster type do you prefer, Dive or Winged?"

With enthusiasm relatively high for GateKeeper (apparently) and excitement seemingly low for a new Dive Coaster. I have to ask, based on the specs of the proposed coaster and our experience with GateKeeper, which coaster do you think you will prefer / ride more?

Top Thrill Dragster is my second favorite coaster, and my favorite under 45 seconds.
