The lift has risen! At this rate, the remaining structures look to be done by the end of the year. 1 more week till GWW, can't wait!

GS UPDATE! Me, rolercstrluvr & RAWKIN_coaster38 headed out to CGA this past wednesday, Nov 14th, to catch the latest progress on GS. We were able to park by the offices and get a great view from the other side of the fence. Pics below, enjoy! More GS Booty shots... Along the fence, we spotted where they hid the booze for Club Blood! Pathways totally cleared leading to Pictorium, you can see a bent laying on the side of the Carousel Souvenir Shop. Land clearing around ST. Wood ready to be prepared The turn closest to Celebration Swings finally completed If you look closely, you can see new bents have finally gone up on the big giant slab in between Carousel Souvenir Shop & Pictorium Majority of the sections now connected together... And now closing with us watching youtube videos of Robb interviewing at IAAPA on a Tablet & LED TV, (cause that's how we roll) Great job Robb!!

Gold Striker! After waiting patiently for over a decade to see a major coaster installed at CGA, it's a relief to finally see it come alive. Also looking forward to Undertow & seeing if YOLOcoaster will live up to it's hype....

I enjoyed Jambo as well. Definitely was a fun experience being felt as if you were about to be thrown out of your seat. Kinda was like Crazy Surf at SCBB, but less intense and with a nice view of the surroundings. Looking forward to Holiday In The Park in less than three weeks from now!

That area would be too tight of a fit for a Windseeker, with Vortex right next to it, you'd be high fiving people as the train came by . Also the Season Pass Building is there as well. The Invertigarden would be the most logical place. It would kind of be an homage to Triple Wheel in a way if they placed it there. Also as Robman mentioned, Mr. Spongebob has overstayed his welcome in the Action Theater, definitely time for something new there, and as AngryGumball mentioned, covered stations and shaded queues please!

Planes that fly real low during rainy/foggy weather conditions fly over the eastern side of the park toward SJA. Every time I see it, it always feels like it's about to come and pick FD up. The Western side however as everyone else mentioned, obviously has more leeway in regards to DT & ST. Seeing that we almost got a 200ft Morgan coaster that was gonna be built over Grizzly, but instead got Invertigo, gives me hope up that eventually we'll get a hyper. There's all the space by Grizzly & Barney's, and the old train path next to Demon including the old Tunnel & GS, and along by Redwood Amphitheater. As I mentioned earlier and as someone pointed out, I could definitely see a coaster as well next to FD using the old train route and run around and over Rapids as well like a Wingrider, B&M Flyer, or Mack launch coaster of some sort. Also a revival of Pictorium, with 3D movies being the thing these days, it makes perfect sense. Though besides my wishes for the park, for 2014 and beyond I can definitely see a Windseeker in Invertigarden's spot, as long as all the kinks are worked out. I think a full version would still work even if it's 301 ft. If you look at Google maps, it's interesting to note that ST, DT & a WS would form sort of a beeline (a straight line). New slides/expansion at BB, full repainting of the coasters, Dinosaurs Alive (since CF seems to be sticking with it), KidZville/Planet Snoopy merging, and renovations of the restrooms and buildings as I see some are in need of TLC.

Had another great time at the park with the gang. It's hard to believe we have only 2 more weekends left till the park closes for the season, though with Winter Wonderland opening this year inside the park, we'll have more excuses for more Gold Striker pics! First and foremost, another Invertigarden? Nope Gold Striker prep for the lift and spiraling first drop! Bye Bye Trees..... Soon this will be a different view from the ST queue.. Already noticing the differences between the POV and actual construction with the headchopper effect finale at the last turnaround Trees sacrificed for GS! We salute them Getting more massive every week... BlueFireGuy, The Carousel, & The Woodie... Reflecting on what 2013 will be like by the Reflection Pool.... CGA Goldy Update 10.7.12! Had to use my old Canon P&S as for some weird reason my Nikon DSLR kept flashing the message: "This battery cannot be used. Choose battery designated for use in this camera." Not sure what the heck is going on as all my batteries are OEMS... Anyway on to the pics: More prepping for the lift... From afar..
