BlueFireGuy and everyone pretty much summed it up, just simply wow! Non stop action from start to finish, plenty great pops of airtime, laterals, amazingly insane head chopper after the fly, and an awesome double up toward the end! I can honestly say it is my new favorite ride in the park! Regarding the tunnel, it was quick and it's actually not 100% enclosed as the bottom sides are not covered fully with slight openings. You can hear a loud rumble as it comes down the drop and then a huge boom of noise as it exits the tunnel coming from the parking lot making it hard to resist! Also waiting in the queue line was an experience in itself seeing the trains screeching by. It is so loud we had to keep stopping any conversation we were having. Kudos GCI & CGA, you have a winner!

What awesomeness to come home to after a great week long trip to Disney, KBF & SFMM! Can't wait to see this beauty running in person soon! Oh btw, a classic Marriott era signage is back, albeit with a slightly different font, but very nice and a much welcomed addition! Here's to more classic signage to return around the park, County Fair Archway anyone? Pic courtesy of Rolercstrluvr! Classic Marriott era signage returns!

Can't believe it's finally testing! Despite the VHS EP quality videos, hello, it was a nice surprise to see a POV up so fast. Seeing the off-ride pov, it definitely hauls ass! Can't wait to come back to CGA to finally see it alive in person! AngryGumball, myself and a few friends have been enjoying a nice week hitting up the SoCal parks and we will be riding Apocalypse tomorrow at SFMM thinking of Goldy the whole way..

^Totally spot on. The fact that things are turning around for the better and that they're getting the funding to do it speaks volumes. Also the fact that they are reading the boards and listening says a lot, which reminds me looking forward to another themed element returning to the park, I won't spoil it but it's a nice "welcome" and a "sign" of things to come...

Wow Goldy Porn overload! Great to see all the engineering aspects as well regarding the electrical and magnetic brake systems! So it looks like the queue will go under the station and then up the stairs; from tunnels to covered stations and pathways, this is the most shade I've ever seen on a ride at CGA!

Was there for a few hours on Friday as it was the last day of Spring Break plus my bring a friend ticket expired so I brought along a friend of mine. The parking lot was near capacity and there was a good sized crowd. Did only 4 rides: Superman, V2, Sky Screamer & Medusa. Superman ops were as fast as ever, the whole bottom queue in between the station & the covered queue was full and took less than 40 min, we were lucky enough to get assigned the front row with my friend screaming the entire time as it was her first time ever on it! Roar was still running run 1 train with the whole queue filled up, didn't bother as it definitely was a 1 1/2-2 hour wait. V2 had no line, though the best moment was the operator announcing out loud "Oh wait, we just loaded a flash pass, they have to wait 1 cycle before they can get on", wish the Medusa Ops got the memo on opening day. Sky Screamer was next with a 5-10 minute wait, the ops were hilarious as a person dropped a hat and then another guest later dropped a shoe and they kept saying "yay thanks for the hat, thanks for the shoe!" Medusa line was short as it was 30 min till closing, only had to wait 20 min for the front instead of the 1+hour during opening day when they kept putting flash pass users constantly in our row without any breaks in between. Overall a nice quick visit!

Simply amazing! It looks as if it's about to jump off the tracks and fly into the sky! -
Just a quick write up, though no photos as I misplaced my camera somewhere as my house is under renovation, silly me.. Refer to Angry gumball later today I'm currently at the park for day 2 of opening weekend, definitely much lighter crowd than yesterday's "busiest ever in a while opening day" due to the inclement weather. Great to be with the gang again! Notes: °Parking is very much improved, they removed half of the exit row of trees to expand the parking horizontally, definitely adding more spaces. As soon as the tr ailers from the stadium construction crews are removed, the lot will be back to it's original size and then some with the removal of the substation. The led lighting is 1000% better and super bright, it's now CGA Automall bright. °No more metal detectors, security back to using wands like from the 90s °There are brand new iron fencing on Centrifuge replacing the wood sliding gate. °Action Theater now has a new movie: Happy Feet, definitely a step up from SpongeBob's 10 season tenure. °Themed music not present as of yet °Some rides operations needing a boost of caffeine. °The coasters are overcoming their winter hibernation °Entertainment guides now a nice brochure °Flying Eagles as snappy as ever Besides the opening day jitters, there is much improvement all around with the park looking great with the new paint. Looking forward to the opening of Gold Striker and the rest of the season and the many years ahead with the New CGA & CF!
