Great update Rob! Gold Striker is looking awesome. Regarding the pictures, they are coming up just fine on all my Android Devices, GSIII & GTab10.1 using both the Chrome browser & the stock browser. For you Apple folks, there is a Chrome browser app.. Regarding Vortex and it's paint scheme, when we rode Vortex in the front last month I mentioned to AngryGumball how every section had a neon green mark on the tracks, it'd be cool if they painted it back to the original or close to it...

What a difference a year makes; from CGA being on the endangered list in the enthusiast's mind to now Gold Striker and now all of a sudden what the next coaster will be. In terms of space, besides the obvious Invertigarden/GL area, I can see a coaster next to FD where the train used to pass through and fly over Rapids a la a Wingrider, area around the Redwood Amphitheater/pavilion & and even space next to Grizzly/Barney's for a hyper..just wishful thinking of course

Had a great time at SCBB after a long overdue visit. $10.95 admission after 5 with a pepsi can is awesome as always. Rode and bid farewell to Hurricane, had some crazy rides on some Kiddy Rides while Crazy Surf & Tornado challenged my senses, and other things. The Haunted House was pretty good for a non-Disney type ride. Logger's Revenge was a soaking adventure, Fireball was packing a punch, Freefall was a great medium sized frog jumper, Wipeout indoors was a blast, and Giant Dipper is just as classic as ever, which goes to show that woodies still do kick major @$$. On to the photos! Giant Dipper I see you! Double Shot I see you too! Double Shot up close and personal Hello Hurricane Farewell Hurricane! Where it's at! Stuck in the middle of SCBB We <3 SCBB! We got balls, BIG ONES! Giant Dipper! Train coming! Nerd shot! Carousel! Billy & The Kid(die) Coaster Crazy indeed Nighttime falls on The Dipper.... Waiting..... Here comes the train! We're next! Here we go! Artsy shot... Full Moon.... Had this to get this as my final shot of the moonlit ocean, thanks SCBB for a great night!

New Amusement Park planned for... Tracy, CA?
JJnCFL replied to XYZ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Whoa this came out of nowhere, just saw the newsflash on the local news as soon as I read this. Though it's funny every time I pass through Tracy to get to CGA, via the Altamont Pass, I always wondered how cool it would be to build a theme park in all the open land I see. Of course it's a pipe dream. There's gonna be A LOT of hurdles to jump over living in the land we call California. Also I find it amusing how they compare Disneyland making a ton of moolah, but there's a reason why, it's DISNEY! -
^^I hear ya! The only one with a complete cover is Grizzly, while Demon is covered just on the queue side. But I totally agree, covers please! Had a great time yesterday with the TPR group despite the first time going to the park on a Sat in a long time. The parking lot was completely full, All the rides had their lines spilling out of the entrance, even rides that don't have lines normally. As Blue Fire Guy said, had a little bit of a run in with those lovely line jumpers, oh the drama. Overall great day, reminded me of CGA's days in the 90s with full queues and crowds all the time. Nice surprise when I got home, AU13 Media Announcement Invite in the mail, YAY! Anyways, on to the pics! Lot at 9:30AM AU13 turnaround... AU13 from Xtreme Look over there, OMG, it's a.............roller coaster being built! More drainage..... Peeking out... The Bobcat & the Woodie... I see brackets! Looking down... Lot around 4PM Wall shot... Goofy pose! Backstage tour!! More.. Brackets everywhere! Group shot! Logger's Run line spilling out into the pier... We still love B&M! Beautiful Columbia entrance Last ride on Star Tower... Firefall nighttime... Feel the heat... Fireworks! Thanks for a another great day CGA! Nice surprise when I got home...

Love those curves! Only 13 more days till the big announcement! Regarding attendance, CGA's been doing real well considering they haven't added a major attraction since '08, they were one of the top performers, if I'm not mistaken, along with CW, KBF & KI according to CF's press releases in 2011. As I said before 2013 will be the start of something good...
