  1. That's one sexy piece of track! The commercial shoot is still on for next Thursday 6/28, *Fingers crossed*, can't wait!
  2. Ah ok, hope you're feeling better, you did a good job not showing your pain
  3. Was wearing a yellow and grey shirt and was sitting in the front with a family of 3. yea because I would've been checking your seat at the end. I was loader. I was actually limping a little if you noticed. Do you remember if I did anything specific besides say "good". I remember a Latino looking guy checked my seat who was at Safety (if that's what it's still called; I used to operate Top Gun back in 2000, can't believe it's been 12 years lol) I was sitting on the back before I went back in line for the last ride of the day and remember a girl checking my seat, was that you? Yup, my name tag says "christina". Did I say anything specific? Safety is called Unloader now. I guess its called unloader because the person is on the exit side. I remember a girl telling us in line for the front that the last ride was the next so 2 people went to the back after I recommended them, did you have short hair? Oh, when I worked there Level 1 was Control, Level 2 was Safety (The other dispatcher by the queue line side), and Level 3 was Exit (which is now unloader from what you said), I miss those days!

  6. ^Thanks for the update! Can't wait to see the changes in person!
  7. Just got back from a long day, got to the park a little before 11:30 and left around 8:20. Got on the last ride of the night on FD for the first time ever and in the front which was fun, the ride crew towards closing became Super Tight Line Nazis but more on that later. Decent sized crowd. The longest wait was Tiki Twirl, though I would assume the reason being was that there wasn't a real grouper assigning people to the 4 "color" groups anymore since the Survivor Theme is gone, and that the queue in the loading area is all confusing since they removed half of it, but that's another story. They are definitely taking control of the lines with all the Fast Lane/Groupers at all the major rides which is great as it does help the lines flow so much smoother. They were grouping people at Drop Tower and assigning them cabins (so the spiel they say when they say "walk to your assign cabin" finally has real meaning now lol). They did assign rows at Vortex even though there was no line too. FInally saw Happiness Is Snoopy, definitely a great show, highly recommend for the families. Back to the Line Nazis, towards closing, the FD crew were getting extremely strict on people abusing the Fast Lane Line to get back in line instead of going all the way to the front, who didn't have FL wristband. I saw a group of nearly 10 people get forced to walk to the front. At least the line jumping is being addressed... It's nice to know both SFDK & CGA this year are getting more in control of the lines and overcrowding at the stations which is a good thing, even though to the GP it looks like the line is long, it helps with the overall flow.
  8. Thanks so much for the updates, living vicariously through the pics! Can't wait to experience it on my next visit to DCA!
  9. For me I enjoy dining at DL over DCA. Blue Bayou (though only been once, was the best dining I've ever had there), Plaza Inn, French Market & Cafe Orleans are my other favs. Though I'm looking forward to trying the new additions at DCA, they all look mouth watering! Can't wait to try Carthay Circle Restaurant, definitely looks to be DCA's "Blue Bayou". I guess after having a horrible experience at the Lucky Fortune Cookery with a rice bowl that had severely undercooked hard rice last time I ate at DCA, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I did however enjoy Ariel's Grotto and the character dining was fun. Can't wait to come back and try all the new stuff!
  10. I just got an email that the commercial shoot I'll be participating in scheduled for this Thursday June 21st has been postponed a week to Thursday, June 28th and that the ride will not open this weekend.
  11. I just got an email that I've been selected too! Woohoo!
  12. Thanks for the pics AngryGumball! Love to see "wood'! Regarding The Nick Central post you had, that was back in 2003 when they redid Splat City into Nick Central, then of course Planet Snoopy in 2010. When JMA almost bought CGA last year I was afraid Planet Snoopy was gonna be redone again, seemed like that area gets more action than anywhere else from Smurf Woods to Nickelodeon Splat City to Nick Central to Planet Snoopy, lol. Anyways, 2013 can't come soon enough! Awkward... I don't remember making that comment about Splat City. My bad! I was referring to AG's post which had a quote by you in it, got mixed up, fixed it now!

  14. There were no special events going on that I knew of, and the parking lot had a good amount of cars, and not that many buses from what I saw on Star Tower around 2pm. I had to get something out of my car around that time also and there were still long lines to get into the park.
  15. Trip report from Sunday (6/3), was a busy day, everything had a line most of the day. First time in awhile I saw Demon's line reach past the cave, and Flight Deck past the M&M Candy machine by the entrance. Grizzly (no surprise) had the longest line, nearly 45 minutes. They held people at the plaza, then held people again at the top of the stairs plus the operations were slow as molasses combined with the extra "noodles". Went on Star Tower to check the progress of the new coaster, pretty much looked the same just with the survey markers all over, didn't see any other work done as apposed to Friday, snapped a bunch of pics. Overall a fun day.
  16. Heading out to the park today, will be wearing a faded blue Superman Shirt, so say hi! Regarding the Grizzly restraint, here's a close-up view. The locking part is attached to the lap bar, while the other end is bolted down between the two seats. Definitely slowing down operations...
  17. ^Wow didn't think you can get crazy rides like that on Flying Eagles!
  18. Yellow rails! Now it truly IS a Superman ride!
  19. Erin Glover of the DisneyParks Blog just answered that question just now and said it will be $849 for the Premier Pass starting May 20th as well. Also a reader on the blog mentioned calling the AP Hotline and they were told they have until July 1st to renew with the old rates but ONLY if your pass expires within 40 days before July 1st. Hope it's true since mine expires in July.
  20. Yikes indeed. Though to look on the bright side (as I try to do) being a Premium AP holder, it does pay for itself since I go a lot, and the monthly payment option helped a bunch. I just happened to log into the AP website and it shows I've visited 30 times so far (I'm in NorCal btw) and my pass expires in July, so to look at it this way, that's about $450 in parking lol and I still have 2 months left to use it!
  21. Me 2 lol! Glad to hear they'll be working all weekend on it!
  22. I was there on Tuesday and it leads you up directly behind the control operator booth so there's someone there, I waited about 10 minutes for an open seat.
  23. Woohoo! Though once the wood *FINALLY* arrives, then I'll be doing somersaults and back-flips!
  24. ^Awesome! Someone mentioned on FB that the elephant that's still in the construction zone should be saved and used as part of the entrance *if* they are indeed gonna call it "Stampede".
