Forces or Theming?
Rollercoaster Rider replied to dropzonefan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Forces. Usually theming breaks, Is rarely fixed/replaced and is useless after 3 or 4 years. -
Looks like it. Also take into consideration that this is the main ride that will be visible from the direction of the new stadium. No harm in trying to attract some 49er fans and help boost the parks business. Smart move if you ask me. Here's a question to those that read this thread... If you had to rename/theme Flight Deck to go along with a 49er/Gold-miner theme, what would it be? That's exactly why that occurred to me, if you look at the stadium from CGA or at CGA from the stadium, Flight Deck is the coaster that jumps out at you. I don't think they'll go as far as renaming the ride unless it still keeps with the fighter jet theme, otherwise they'd have a whole bunch of queue theming that would made no sense. I think the color tie-in with the 49ers, if any, is meant to be a subtle or subconscious one. While new color is almost always a good thing, I really liked the previous paint job and thought it fit the theme of the coaster very well. This red is going to take a while to get used to for me. I see them repainting it, So It will get your attention. Like how SFGAm repainted Sky Trek Tower dark blue.

Yeah... No. Giant Drop opened in 1998 while as Wonderland closed in 2004. -

^ Lololololol Of the coasters you mentioned, I think the Gravity Group Jr. woodie is the most ideal. Gravity Group Jr. Woodies make great rides and they appeal toa ll audiences. It is something they should do, and it is a good way for AZoosment Park to gain more public attention. I also like idea of an X Coaster, since it's fairly cheap (the one at Magic Springs only cost $4 million, which isn't a lot compared to other major coasters) except that may be a little too thrilling for the park's guests considering the park is geared for children. In order to attract more crowds, they need to get more families, and an adult coaster is not a good option for AZoosment Park. 3 Things the park needs (In My Opinion) Re-open/expand their waterpark. Slides don't cost that much. And since they are doing stuff with animals, They could do a knockoff Aquatica like Waterpark with rides with Animals. The park already has 2 slides (Probably bad condition), Go Karts, Lazy River, and Bumper Boats. The park could also use a Thrilling GCI/Gravity Group wooden coaster. The park already has Dragon (For the Kids) and Wildcat (For the Family) and needs a thrilling wooden coaster (For the Thrill Seekers) that could go between the current park and the waterpark. Or A Chance Junior Hyper like Kentucky Kingdom is building. Third and most importantly, They could use a thrill ride or 2. Everything currently in the park is for Kids/families and there isn't anything wrong with that but since they were "rumored" to get an Arrow Shuttle Loop, They clearly don't want to be just a family park. A Drop Tower, Frisbee, DiskO Coaster, Star Flyer, or Log Flume would work well.

I'd rather an Interactive Dark Ride and a Return of Bugs Bunny National Park (Scrap the Go Karts!) I agree! Bugs Bunny National Park was SFGAm's best kiddie park in my opinion! I was so sad to see it go. Honestly, I think the best places for a dark ride are the Southwest Ampitheater and Kidzopolis, because of space reasons (a dark ride will not work well in the Go Kart's location). ^I don't think those are inside the tunnel. I think those are for the turn-around before the brakes, but I'm not sure. I would put it in the former Trailblazer/Arcade next to it and theme it to Wile E. Coyote.

Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland are not within a 100 mile radius of each other. Maps are an easy tool to use to confirm this. I also really question the exact definition of this Cedar Fair rumored rule if it is even a rule to begin with. You also have to remember, that Paramount owned Canada's Wonderland when Flight Deck/Top Gun was built. It was Paramount's decision to make the SLC instead of a B&M Invert, and at the time, the SLC was an exciting new concept. Not 100 miles but within a certain radius. Hence why they went with a Vekoma SLC as opposed to A B&M Inverted Coaster. On the + Side, We got Leviathan out of it cause B&M Owed Canada's Wonderland a favor. -

I want Alan S? to design the layout and B&M Build the coaster. -
From what I've heard, Snoopy Bounce, Log Peeler, Joe Cool's GR8 SK8, and Timberline Twister are leaving and a new family coaster and 2 new flats are replacing them. Of course, none of this has been confirmed so take it with a grain of salt. Bummer, I liked Great Skate. Maybe a few of those kids stuff will go to California's Great America? Either them or Michigan's Adventures.
