  1. There is nothing wrong with the current entrance. The fountains and Columbia Carousel already make a really nice entrance area. I think he means just more of the "front gate area" coming into the park (from the parking lot to the turnstyles), not replacing the fountains and/or carousel inside of the park. That's what I mean. Good luck believing that a Gatekeeper-like front gate area would happen with Prudential nearby. With the coaster probably having sand filled track would prevent Prudential from having a right to complain (You can't really silence a GCI but you can "Silver Bullet" a B&M)
  2. From what I've heard, The retracked barrel roll and turnaround are smooth. Everything else Mt. O Rough.
  3. I remember Holiday World saying Mammoth was the most they ever spent ($9m) on a standalone attraction. Guess they've saved some pennies with Hyena Falls and Mayflower.
  4. Well, Valleyfair honestly really needs the waterpark expansion because it is the worst waterpark in the Cedar Fair chain. I don't think Soak City is awful like some people say, but it's outdated and needs something new to keep people visiting. I only visit Soak City if it's sweltering hot. As for a new coaster, I think that is more likely to happen than an Excalibur revamp because CF mentioned that VF is one of three parks slated for significant growth, and I think that means a new coaster might happen in the near future. An Excalibur revamp probably wouldn't be worth it because it is one of the least popular attractions in the park, and I personally think that it will be gone within the next ten years, regardless of if that land is used for a new coaster. I think the waterpark is tied with California's Great America and Wildwater Kingdom Ohio for worst CF Waterpark.
  5. Apparently they ran with 6 cars but ended up with 5 (Assuming capacity died down after awhile) http://rcdb.com/66.htm
  6. Well the city is Santa Claus, Indiana. And the park opened as Santa Claus Land in 1946. And has had Santa Claus since. It's not like you go to the park and go "Wait, this is Religious themed?"
  7. I think he means "Water rides that don't get you wet" like Pirates and Small World. Or he's talking about lack of water rides at Universal STUDIOS and not Universal ORLANDO.
  8. Can't Valleyfair just build Levee's by the river?
  9. Well it is "Rumored" that Woody Woodpecker's Kid Zone is going to get refreshed after Diagon Alley.
  10. I wouldn't mind a Bowl Slide, Tornado, Racing Mat Slides, Giant Water Play Area with Tipping Bucket, Or Coaster Slide.
  11. And Pink. Will it also have a tunnel of love too?
  12. Why? They stopped after 2009 and Shapiro/Jim Reid stopped adding them since. I'm guessing they didn't generate the attendance boost they wanted (Not surprised).
  13. Any chance they'll enclose the tower? And before anyone says anything, A Spaceshot operates indoors at Galaxyland.
  14. SFFT has Iron Rattler. Im mean a 200+ foot steel mega And Iron Rattler is 179ft with a 171ft drop. What's your point? http://rcdb.com/11663.htm
  15. I don't think anyone was stupid enough to think it was gonna stay that way. Just a bit disappointed that SFA decided to open the ride like that. On the Bright Side, It looks better than what was there last year.
  16. Hope the trains get sold to another SDC Hurricane. The trains made the Hurricane ridable (As opposed to Santa Cruz/Western Playlands)
  17. They definitely will. All the new slide complex that Cedar Fair have put in recently are very colorful. I also meant repainting the slides like Cedar Fair did with the slides in Cedar Points Soak City.
  18. How about put Looping Starship there and expand the waterpark? And if they expand the waterpark, Hopefully they will add some color to it. All the rides are white.
  19. Since KD was not listed as a park with "Growth potential," I see a waterpark refresh with new slides, new paint and probably a rename.
