  1. Valleyfair, Worlds of Fun, Six Flags America, & Hersheypark all had "classic" mid-sized woodies before their GCI coaster was built. None of those parks built the GCI coaster to replace their other woodie.
  2. Yeah, we're most likely crazy.
  3. The KD moon teaser is based on the topography on the moon, just it's a bit rough on it. Here's a photo of the moon and Snoopy on it:
  4. I don't know if Colossus is really a good candidate of the RMC treatment. The two coasters with the RMC treatment have a twister layout while Colossus has a double out-and-back layout. I just don't see how Colossus could be done with all these overbanks. Also, it seems to be pretty smooth right now.
  5. The 4 posts above this one: Plain dumb. Seriously, if you don't have that many posts and you're on here, that's not a good sign.
  6. I'm putting on the table that a Eurofighter might replace PP, it can easily fit in that area and can be marketed as California's steepest coaster. Plus, there's a good chance it would provide very good airtime on the first drop since Gerstlauer is putting lab bars on their Eurofighters nowadays.
  7. YES! Seriously, I'm not a big fan of these frequent small investments SFMM has been doing lately. As Manic Monte said, I expect a Sky Screamer for 2014 or 2015, maybe a super version like SFOT is getting.
  8. This is a nice addition to Great Escape, flying scooters always impress me. Anyone think the GP will confuse Screamin' Eagles to Steamin' Demon? Steamin' Eagles anyone?
  9. Something went horribly wrong with this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuIQjSRFv2w
  10. I heard 2013 passes are going to start being sold on Sept. 1 and PP is leaving on Sept. 3 (obviously), so the announcement could be on one of those days.
  11. I still wonder why they took Log Jammer out so early, Log Jammer could've stayed until Labor Day 2012.
  12. I can tell this will be a very good coaster as it seems very similar to Apocalypse. I'm surprised that the coaster has no tunnels with Prudential right next door. The only problem is that Gold Striker seems to have a weak ending like Apocalypse, I hope I'm be wrong.
  13. Today, during school, I told them that X2 is rated higher than Xcelerator on the Mitch Hawker Poll and they all got pissed off at that. Seems to me there is a coaster war happening in Southern California... -------------- A GP gem: Comment:
  14. ^This is really sad news as Armstrong made an acheivement that will always be in the history books. I'm surprised that this isn't on the news that much. A lot of people that I told that Neil Armstrong died, they said "WHAT! That was never on the news!"
  15. You probable need to learn how to use to spell check button. You spelt the word "probable" correct, but that makes no grammatical sense in your sentence and you should've used the word "probably". Why am I even replying to this? I'm surprised this wasn't on this thread already. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63450&start=20
  16. Swimmin6, I PMed you the correctly rotated images for your Hersheypark trip report. I thought it would be a nice thing to do.
  17. Granted, but the whole Jersey Shore cast gets hired to do a commercial and you see them all the time. I wish Knott's will get a giga in 2013.
  18. If the image isn't working, click here!
  19. Colossus is a smooth airtime filled machine? LOL. Sorry but when I went on it last April I was literally screaming in pain from the roughness and there was one pop of airtime in the backseat. I'm not bashing you or anything. I just find it funny that how we had two completley different rides. I still think Giant Dipper (SCBB) is the best woodie in California with Apocalyspe in close second. I really don't know how it was rough, they must've fixed it up recently because the coaster was very re-rideable. I hate rough wooden coasters, so I would've picked up the roughness very easily, but it was pretty smooth. I didn't expect it to be really good, but I was impressed with Colossus. I rode both functioning trains on the left side (2 trains, one with the ad on it) on the front seat. Honestly, Colossus is one of my favorites in SFMM.
  20. 22/30. I could do better, but I'm happy that my score was this high.
  21. Looks like a fun addition to SCBB. I think this will be much better than Hurticane.
  22. You were surprised that there were long lines on a summer weekend? Re: Superman, it probably WAS maintenance, because the ride has been down for several days, I didnt even realize it had reopened. Re: X2 I don't believe it supports 3 train operation does it? Someone else will know.. Re: Tatsu thats the one I agree with you on. I've never been able to figure out why that run that coaster like they do. Well, I heard LA kids were in school, so I didn't expect that many crowds on this weekend, but now I know. I guess Superman was for maitenance, after going through all the coasters without going to their full potential (capacity wise), I thought they just ran one side for saving money.
  23. My guess is an El Loco, but it probably will be a spinner.
