I'm planning this coaster marathon with some of my friends but I don't know how to how to keep them honest. Basically, everyone has two hours to run around the park and ride as many rides as possible. How do I make sure they don't cheat? Also, anything I need to know or do to make this better? Thanks Chas

Yep. My record is 22 rides on Kumba Have you ever wondered why your alarm clock was ringing at 12:30, then realized its 6:45 and you're late for work/school?

BGT: I would add to what has been said, RIDE SCORPION!! The line always looks long but you never have to wait more than three trains (in my experience anyway) The Crown Colony is good for a sit down restaurant but be aware, it can take a long time, and it can be pretty pricey. Hit Cheetah Hunt right when you get there or you will miss your window of sub 45 minute waittimes. Kumba has always been my favourite but the old girl is getting on the rough side, but its got great capacity and horrid location so wait times are small. I go there for the mindless ride it 10-15 times in a row. That's all I got... Have Fun! Chas PS the Skyride is your friend!!

A Corksrew question..
chasbron replied to KingRCT3's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I actually really don't like B and M's corkscrews. There is too much lateral movement at the apex of the element. Arrow and Vekoma shape theirs much more in line and I think its much more comfortable. Just my opinion. -

Is the rattle we're talking about like the constant rattle on Goliath at SFOG or is it just in certain places? Also, any word on when test runs will start occurring? -
Robin Kumba or Montu?

Hey Robb, How hard would it be to add a "face palm" Smilie? It would really come in handy sometimes!!

Demon SFGA Arrow Dynamics or Vekoma

^It really is comforting to hear people like you support gays! It's nice to know that there are people who won't judge you for who you are just because of who you like! Thank you!

UGHHHH!! My first break up... Why does life hate me so... My first boyfriend...

Sorry, I mean that Cheetah Hunt is still very new. It seems to me that it's a little early to hear the tyre losing grip on the train and screeching. I remember that on Georgia Cyclone and to some extent Great American Scream Machine but not on a new ride like Cheetah Hunt. It just sounds a little soon to start having problems like this.

I just got back from bgt and made it a point to hit sand storm a couple of times. I asked the ride ops on duty if the drop tower rumour was true and she said yes, completely true but for some reason it will be finished in 2014. Just repeating what she said but it sound interesting. In other news, scorpion was closed for painting and looks really, really good!! <- probably means scorpion will live to sting another day:). Also, gwazi: tiger was closed and running constant test runs. Apparently there was major track work done. Kumba was running really rough but it was still my favourite. 66 rides in three days, I have found, is the best way to get your mInd off your boyfriend breaking up with you!!!!

Robb, Are there any TPR DVDs that include footage of drachen fire? Thanks for making the world awesome! Chas

^^ Completely agree!!! That's my favourite coaster because of that roll! Bgt is my home park so I know it pretty well. Is Montu's roll more of a barrel roll than a true zero g roll because it seems like coming off that immelmann it can't get low enough to then make a true zero g roll. Just my observations... Chas

I'm just wondering something. I've always said that the one thing that makes Montu (in my humble opinion) was second best to Kumba solely because of its zero g roll. I've always said that it rolls the wrong way. If it rolled the opposite way, it would feel more natural and smooth. Does anyone have an opinion on this or am I just really nitpicky?

Dan Wheldon has been my absolute favorite driver since 2005 (When I first got into the sport) I met him a couple of times and his kids were even going to go to my school. I watched the tragedy unfold. He could have been the nicest guy to ever walk the face of this earth. Who to blame this on really doesn't matter so long as the sport becomes safer because of this and more importantly, his legacy lives on![/i] love you ol' chap! <3 <3 <3
