  1. You can see Thor's Hammer on the before picture So the station will be close to Thor's, I think it's great that there will be 3 attractions down there next year
  2. The work has already started and here you can see some pics I took in the park last week. I circled around the markers that have been put down in the ground. *UPDATE* TusenFryd uploaded two pictures from the building site, one before they started and one from today, you can see in the picture that there have been cleared a lot of trees and you can see the three buildings that will be just before the tunnel on the ride. Before After The walkway to the left will be the walkway to the entrance of the que. They have also got up a banner at the top of the escalator. 3. TusenFryd just released a teaser for the new ride
  4. Yeah, that's the real reason that Epcot removed Maelstrom, so TusenFryd could build the ride
  5. Invests 45 million NOK (5,4 million USD) on a new attraction: Opens 500m (1 640 ft) long family rafting in spring 2016 Now TusenFryd will build Norway's toughest water-based attraction, unique of its kind in Northern Europe. An exciting river rapids on a half kilometers will be constructed, and in the wild rapids await several waterfalls, a maelstrom and other challenging obstacles. Again TusenFryd invests considerable resources to offer the public new, unique experiences in the park. "Rapid River" is the project name of the concept which has been planned for several years. In all, 18,000 m3 (4,4 acre) masses to be removed, which corresponds to 1,200 truckloads. Thereafter, 2.000 m3 (0,4 acre) of concrete cast on an area equivalent to 3,500 square meters (0.8 acre). When construction is completed 1.3 million liters (343 423,6 gallons) of water filling the river, and two large pumps that push each 2,200 liters (581 gallons) of water per second will create a strong current in the river. Intense experiences await The attraction has a capacity of 900 guests per hour. The guests will go on board in one of nine rafts that each takes nine passengers. Along the river, they have to go through two waterfalls, a swirling maelstrom and a tunnel and other exciting challenges. The whole attraction adorned with a Norse theme, in keeping with the design of "Thor's Hammer" which is another well-known guests favorite in the park. The river will follow the falling terrain starting close by "Thor's Hammer" and then sling 500 meters on the plot. - This is a great family attraction. We are proud to offer our audience new unique quality attractions, and look forward with expectation to be able to wish guests a thrilling ride with the new family attraction in the spring, says Andersen. Concept art A closer look at the concept art The station The first part after the station, you can see the buildings that are on the concept art is the old viking houses that where in the old vikingland. The whirlpool and the first drop. Here is a picture of a Hafema Whirlpool that will be featured on the ride Tusenfryd is getting The last drop and what looks like a huge wave pool before the upramp into the station. 6. Burnout Stunt Show had it's debute in the park today, the park was really crowded today and the arena that takes 500 guests was packed to capasity.
  7. Frozen Ever After announced, with the first consept art
  8. TusenFryd just started a partnership with GoPro. Several attractions have gotten mounts for GoPro, so that you can mount your GoPro and making memories The park will also let you borrow GoPro cameras for free. Tusenfryd released a new webpage FamilieFryd, where you can upload pictures and videos of your day at TusenFryd for a chance to win a GoPro 4. You can also use the #familiefryd on Instagram and YouTube to participate. #familiefryd translate to FamilyJoy. This video was made to promote GoPro use in the park(including POVs of Sky Coaster, Super Splash and the Log Flume, also including Offride shots of several other attractions):
  9. I finally got to ride Thunder Coaster 2.0 with the new Timberliner trains today. The ride opened for the public at the same time as the park closed, so TusenFryd did let us get to ride it for a few laps before making us exit the park. I did try it both in the very front and in the very back. It was to my surprise more intense in the front than in the back. The ride is insane now with the new trains. It runs like crazy. Here you have some offride footage of the testing from earlier today and some few clips with guests riding
  10. Yesterday I got to carry 165 lb test dummies into the seats of the new Timberliner trains at Thunder Coaster Red train was parked in the lift so they could take the green one into maintenence.
  11. I bet they also will improve loading time, since there are no seat belts I have never tried timberliner trains, but how do the lapbars compare to Rockit at Universal?
  12. The Timberliner trains has arrived Pics: TusenFryd's Facebook Page
  13. The show area will be located on the parking space between the main entrance and the old entrence for the Vikingland. so I will guess they use the gates by Super Splash to get people to the show area
  14. How is this show compared to Lights, Motor, Action?
  15. This year's major investment in the amusement park is the stunt show "Burnout". Team Folco comes from Italy to show spectacular stunts suitable for the whole family. - We have chosen a stunt show because we do not have a costly new attraction this year. Other parks have had such shows successfully. We believe it is unique and that it can add speed, excitement and action to the park, says marketing director at TusenFryd, Erik Røhne Andersen Source: www.oblad.no/I_sommer_kan_du_teste_stuntbiler_p__Tusenfryd-5-68-38460.html
  16. Granted, but the holding brakes wont let it go. I wish I could live in Magic Kingdom.
  17. This is me, during Thunder Coaster ERT on the 2014 ScandiTrip. Thanks Robb for the picture
  18. It does, normally the ride time is 52 sec (without lifthill), when it rains I have seen the ride time as low as 49 sec.
