The Great Escape (TGE) Discussion Thread
DarienLaker replied to Red Benny's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If Opryland was still open they would owned by Six Flags and have a Tony Hawk's Big Spin/Pandemonium clone, a ride themed around Batman and/or Superman, a Tsunami Soaker ride, and a Skyscreamer ride. -

I wouldn't really care if of Opryland's rides were scrapped, but in my opinion Opryland shouldn't have been shuttered and demolished for a mall! -

If Great Escape removes Cayon Blaster, that would leave Kong being the last operating Opryland coaster left since the rest were scrapped. -
Revenge on Six Flags to get back at them for being bought out by Parques Reunidos. But Robb realized that you can't bet big business and lost the war on sucky parks and then Six Flags bought out Theme Park Review...

Olympia Looping in England???
DarienLaker replied to gerstlaueringvar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No Schwarzkopf is going anywhere! I can't take it anymore! It's like cutting my heart when a Schwarzkopf is gone. I didn't say that Thriller/Texas Tornado/Zonga/Tsunami is going to the scrapyard, there's a glimmer of hope that Gerstaluer would come in and fix up that old traveling coaster and give it a new home where it can thrill riders for years to come! -

Olympia Looping in England???
DarienLaker replied to gerstlaueringvar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^My prediction on what Mexican Schwarzkopf coaster is going, it would be Thriller/Texas Tornado/Zonga/Tsunami since that coaster was moved so many times that it is time for it to go! -

Give into Six Flags' evil deeds of being the dominant theme park ownership company in the world. So Six flags bought out the Happy Valley chain and added 5,000 more Super Loops, Batman inverts, and Tsunami Soaker in the chain. Soon every Six Flags park was a clone with no variety in rides, every ride was a clone of another ride and there were ads everywhere around each park advertising for stuff like Axe body spray, Got 2B hair styling products, Twix candy, and even McDonald's. Six Flags went all ad happy in their park that they forgot all about theming, but they didn't care so Six Flags went on and....

Taft Broadcasting went out of business in the 1980s, so Rampage wasn't built in 1997. -

If the Led Zepplin/Time Machine coaster is going to be relocated to Darien Lake, they can put in where 'Cuda Falls was and call it "Barracuda"! -

Making Cedar Fair buy all of their parks, but Cedar Fair had no interest in buying Happy Valley's parks. So Six Flags bought the Happy Valley parks instead and they also bought back Darien Lake from Cedar Fair just to get back at them. Six Flags turned Darien Lake into a clone of...

Not only dirty and somewhat dated bathrooms give Darien Lake a bad rap, but also leaving old rides/attractions for "dead" and not replacing them and also for having one train operation and coasters that are capable of running at least two trains could also make people not want to return to Darien Lake. But fixing up the bathrooms and/or bringing back old rides isn't going to make people want to return to Darien Lake.
