  1. ^Who in the world claims CP is running out of room?
  2. It appears the "Horseshoe" in Columbus Ohio, located at "The Ohio State University," is bringing in the most exciting ride of the year. Fans can expect a high octane ride composed of a spread offense, defense shattering game plans, and many national championships. Formally located in Gainesville, Florida, this new and improved ride is expected to thrill millions of OSU fans, located around the world. Coming in 2012, Urban Meyer, The Ride!
  3. ^This guy must work at Penn State. Yuck
  4. Awesome PTR. I have always wanted to visit the Columbus Zoo. I have heard its one of the best in the world. I would love to see more pics if you have them. Who is the guy in the 10tv coat? I m guessing its your husband. Does he work for the station. I always watch it for my news!
  5. This is about the time when the SFMM fanboys come out and attack the CP fanboys! Being an unbiased theme park enthusiast I have to say, "sorry MM, CP really is much better!" I know this site is SFMM heavy, but lets be realistic.
  6. Maybe they should just rename all their coasters: Batman, Superman, Bizarro, or Apocalypse seems to be another good one now
  7. ^Lmao!!! High hopes eh? Also, how is adding a cheap transported coaster improving infrastructure?
  8. If I were any of these parks and had the option of building a Leviathan or a el cheapo like Green Lantern (Magic Mountain) it would be a no brainer. You could build small, low capacity coaster to up your coaster count or you can build quality attractions like they seem to be doing here at CW. If money is an issue, then hold off on a new coaster for a few years like CP has been doing. This is the reason CP won't whore themselves out like SFMM to get a stupid record. The general public will just see Leviathan as a new coaster, not another B&M like enthusiast would recognize.
  9. They should replace this low capacity coaster with another low capacity coaster.in fact forget flats or family attractions. I say build a mediocre low capacity. coaster every year. At least it will give the TPR sfmm thread a reason to post 2000 pages of pointless posts.
  10. I just don't think Goliath flies that fast during its course. It seems to craw for me after the first hill. I don't know...just my opinion.
  11. So excited to hear the rest of your reports! One of my favorite people on the site:-)
  12. 1) Cedar Point 2) IOA 3) Universal Florida 4) BGE 5) BGT 7) KBF 8) SFOT 9) Six Flags Great America 10) SFMM
  13. I would say Apocalypse at SFMM. I wont wait longer than 15 minutes to ride it. I also think that any of the Batman inverts are overrated. I wont even ride the one at MM if there is no line. Talk about a headache. Lastly, Incredible Hulk at IOA is terrible after the launch.
  14. Anyone know how the crowds were this weekend?
  15. Great report! I enjoy your style and look forward to more in the future.
  16. Lmao @ $315,000,000 for a parking garage!!!! You are putting way too much thought into this and not coming across as making sense. I appreciate your effort but your figures are way off.
  17. ^Okay, I was trying to stimulate conversation on the parking options available. I have said that I haven't been to the park in quite a while and that I remembered here being some land before the cause way. Maybe there are houses, farms, etc, but I seem to read about houses and farms be bought quite frequently in order to build malls, warehouses, and "parking garages." No need to be a smart a$$. Even though it's the CP thread, I will refrain from inquiring from those that have the pleasure of visiting the park often or maybe even live in the Sandusky area. I was way outta line.
  18. Anyone now if CP owns the land just before you get to the cause way? Its been a while since I've been to CP, but I believe there is a significant amount of land where a parking garage, similar to IOA, can be built. I never join the crowd that says CP is running out of room because that parking lot leaves so much potential if they can figure a way to redirect parking. I remember, years ago, there were rumors of a floating garage. Not sure if that is possible would be very cool. Im only asking because I believe the current parking lot will have much to do with expansion.
  19. I am really interested in the experience that Jubilee Odyssey provides. I can't believe I am saying that about an SLC
  20. The TTD thing was a ridiculous idea and I laughed at it as much as anyone else. However, if you have been to CP you would understand how large the area inside Mean Streak is and what a waste it is. Unless they renovate it and give people a reason to come back and fill those ques again.
  21. ^I can go with this idea. I think it would be kinda cool to have a ride like that inside MS and it wouldn't take up room that could be used for a real coaster. The problem is, correct me if I am wrong, they would have to build it tall enough to see over top of Mean Streak.
  22. CF was responsible for a lot of park upgrades the last few years and not just ride renovations with new paint and fire effects. Also, despite the hate, Kinzel has always shown a great passion for the amusement industry and I am grateful for all he is done.
  23. Agreed. I think it will be very hard for CP to keep up with SFMM in terms of "number of coasters," unless they start building more kiddies and low capacity coasters. SFMM is trying very hard to keep that record at this point and if I were CP, I say let them have it. THey should continue to invest in more diverse rides such as flats, water rides, and high capacity coasters. I can't imagine CP building a Zac Spin unless they have a "major" coaster to compliment it. Alternatively, they can bring in used kiddie coasters, forget flat and family rides, and build coasters in the 8-12 million dollar range every year to try to keep up with MM. It's an option I guess but I hope the new C.E.O. doesn't decide to take that route.
