This really is a fantastic addition to the SCBB! The updates they are doing here and there are just fantastic! I used to have family in Santa Cruz and went up a couple times a year, but since they moved, it has been a while! Hopefully on one of my trips back to Cali in the future I'll be able to head up to NorCal again!

Well, I got the Gory getaway package and came to UOR. We drove down from Pittsburgh on Sunday, stated with a friend Sunday night, then hit Busch Gardens Monday, rode everything! Checked into our hotel Monday night. We woke up early to get the early entry to IOA. This was my first time getting to see the Wizarding World. It was so amazing walking in there the first time. Made me really excited for next years opening! Just wanted to give a little play by play: Got to the park around 7:45 and they began letting us in a few minutes before 8 for early entry to Wizarding World. We decided to hit dragon challenge first because we wanted to ride front row on both sides. We were the ONLY ones on both trains. They let us cut through the station to ride our second time instead of having to walk through the queue again. They must have liked knowing we came straight to them, because they have us express access to Forbidden Journey! The line was probably 20 minutes(not bad at all), but with the express access we were given, it was roughly 5 minutes! Way cool for our first time! We got to see olivanders, and watch the kids have the wand pick them, which was great! We saw honey dukes, rode flight of the hippogriff, took a look around three broom sticks, and of course, tried the butter beer; both cold and frozen. Because of the early entry option, we got through literally every single ride in the park by 10 am! I couldn't believe it. We went and upgraded our 2 day base tickets to the two day park hoppers with early entry and hopped right over to USO! Again, it took us about an hour to finish all of USO, and we even did rip ride rockit twice lol. The employees were amazing, the treatment we got was outstanding. I actually felt like I was really having a personalized experience at both parks. I had more fun here than I have had at Disney in over two years! Props to UOR! Now tomorrow, we will be back for early entry again, can't wait to hit Forbidden Journey again! And we also have tickets to Horror Nights, and of course, express pass! I have heard too many stories about how crazy the lines get!!! We want to be able to see all the houses since we drove over a thousand miles to be here! Thursday we will be doing the impossible. Hitting all four Disney parks in one day!! Lol. Luckily we only have 2-3 rides per park we want to hit. Should be possible! Anyways, that's my brief, scattered, report on our trip, but more importantly our trip to UOR today, and how impressed I was with EVERYTHING!!

Hey all. I have been working on this park off and on for a couple months now. I just jumped back on this morning and decided I would share what I have so far. There really is not a story line to the park, but I would like to provide updates as new plans unfold. I spent a few minutes drawing out a map so that I could design on paper before I designed in the game. So far I really do not have a whole lot in the park, but I do feel proud of what I've implemented so far! Overview of the entry way. Can you guess where this inspiration came from? lol View at night. Once inside you have a nice array of shopping, eating, and resting areas to choose from: Overview of the entry area. This is where we get the name Station Square from. The first ride introduced to the park was Swingshot! Head on down the walkway to Batwing; the park's first coaster. Finally, I just recently completed phase 1 of this Medieval themed section of the park. A couple things here that I thought were cool ideas and decided to create were an entry way that required a bridge to give the park some height variation and plenty of buildings that not only offer great additions to the areas theme, but functionality and an interactive, educational aspect for the guests! It might not look like it, but these buildings took me some time to create. I have never sat and worked so hard on a park to really try to achieve a realness to RCT3. I've always wanted to, and I finally feel like this is a step in the right direction. And of course, the only attraction thus far in the area, Joust. I will leave you with my drawn map of the park: Thank you for checking it out. Comments, questions, criticism, suggestion are all appreciated! Feedback is the only thing that can help one improve! (p.s. I couldn't get the sites uploader to work for me. Sorry for the inconvenience)

I have to share with you all. Finally got our trip all booked! We did purchase express passes for HHN. I also was hoping for some suggestions from all you IOA and USO pros out there. We arrive to our hotel (best western plus) on the 14th. We are about a mile from the parks. We check out the 17th. With that said, here were my potential plans for what parks on what days. Option 1: 15th Head to early entry of Wizarding World, hang at Islands of Adventure for the day, next day,16th, hang at USO and that night knock out HHN. Option 2: 15th hang at USO for the day. 16th Early entry at wizarding world and then head into IOA for the day then head to HHN that night. Option 3: Hit IOA for two days, then knock out the few rides we want to do, and the mazes at HHN with express pass. I don't know! Help me out guys. I will have my car so I am tempted to maybe even hit Busch Gardens one day, or one of the disney parks while we are over there for a day. Any help, suggestions, anything would be fantastic!

^That I am not sure of. It will blur moving images together and whatnot; which can look pretty cool. -

Normally, yes! What is cool is that Apple made it so that they actually merge all the photos together and create one photo with the best of each photo taken during burst mode! -

^ played with burst mode today. It is really nice I gotta say. It just brings the true color of the images out! -
In my opinion, if you haven't had an experience, then you're not going to believe. Once you've had an experience, you won't ever question it again. I've had too many strange experiences to say that ghosts don't exist.

Some of the camera upgrades I've noticed; the auto image stabilization is really great. I'm always really shaky and my images come out great. The low light features are great. As promised, the ability for the phone to take photos in lower light settings is fantastic! When I have facetimed, people are saying they notice a clearer image of me on their end because of the front facing camera. The Slowmotion is really cool too, but I'm assuming that is available in iOS 7 as a whole. You can put the 5 and 5s side by side taking pictures, the 5s will out do the 5 every time. -

I have! I like it. I am one of those people that like to upgrade every year. All you're getting is a finger print scanner and better cameras. If you like to game on your phone, I guess you'll see a difference in that too. I ended up getting the black/space grey, and there's actually a noticeable color difference between the 5 black and the 5s space grey. Definitely enjoying the phone and iOS 7. -
I am so absolutely excited about this! I have wanted to go to HHN in Orlando for over 7 years and THIS YEAR IS FINALLY my turn! Everything I have been seeing looks absolutely fantastic! Thanks for the update! I gotta say, La Llorona looks ok. I really liked what Hollywood did last year. I was disappointed to see they didn't bring the large props of La Llorana eating children lol. Those were so fantastic, I can't believe they made the decision to leave them out!

^ I have my 5s now, and I can tell you, it asks for a pin if it can't read your finger. I've had zero problems with the scanner working, but you have the option to put in a four digit pin at any time. So if the scanner has a problem, you out a pin in and you can even disable it all together. -

If ANY hardware fails within the first year, you can ALWAYS go to an apple store or call AppleCare over the phone and get the phone immediately replaced. You can add a second year of coverage called AppleCare+ at the time of purchase of the phone, too. AppleCare+ is cheaper over a two year span than any monthly insurance installment plan the wireless providers offer. Plus, considering it's an iPhone, you wouldn't want any other company to take care of the phone but the company that makes it. AppleCare+ just makes sense to me as the obvious protection on your investment. Besides, by the time it is up, usually people are upgrading their phones anyways. -
predictions... They close the whole colossus area. They work on colossus (One and a half years for colossus). But they also work on theming for Scream and they tear down The old Ben and Jerry's building and put a flat ride there. They need to find a way to put the camel back into colossus..... that was the best damn part....they didn't need a brake run... the whole train would ride the upstops all the way down.... it was like... rumble rumble rumble..... silence........airtime the whole way...then BAM rumble rumble as it slammed into the bottom.... need to strengthen the track and take out the brake run LOL.... Based on how Iron Rattler and New Texas Giant rode, the airtime on colossus after a RMC treatment would be amazing. Colossus is already such a fun ride but RMC does such a fantastic job. This would defi items make colossus a new hit at the park! Would love to see this happen. I could see them putting the camel back right back into colossus!

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

They can go to the city and ask for a variance or ask for an easement on the lake. They own out to the water line, but then it becomes public property. However, that is why things like an easement of use and variances exist. -
Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
rollercoasterbuff replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
We went today. I was impressed with the operations, but the park was SLLOOWWWW... So that doesn't say much. I do have to say, there was some employee complaining while she was checking restraints on Phantom about how she was quitting tomorrow and it was her bosses problem because she wasn't getting any time off. I get that conversation; when you're on break away from the guests! I guess that's what you get when you have mostly teenagers working your park attractions. She was talking so loud I could hear her clearly over all the station noise and the guests in front of me. I've never heard that from an employee at a theme park ever before. -
Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
rollercoasterbuff replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just had to vent and I knew I could do this here. I recently moved to PA, and Kennywood is very close to where I live; about 25 minutes. Every time I come here all I witness is lazy, bored looking, unenergetic, unfriendly, rude employees. Lines for roller coasters that are way to long due to the absolutely terrible load times. I timed loading for black widow and Phantoms Revenge one day. Phantom had one train running. It took them 3 minutes per train to load and dispatch, which I personally think is ridiculous. And it took them 7 minutes to load black widow. That's not even anywhere close to appropriate for a busy day in the summer anywhere. The line gets so long because of the load times. I've come to kennywood a few times and can't help but compare it to other parks as I've only ever been to big chain parks, but this is the absolutely most terribly operated park I've ever seen. I think they get away with it because people here kind of walk around, mind their own business, they don't observe their surroundings, and I'm sure a lot don't have anything else to compare it to. I definitely hope they get this little act together cause right now it's a disgusting mess.
