Anyone hitting the park today? I was thinking about going but don't have anyone here to go with me. Was thinking it might be fun to meet up with anyone there. -

The last couple years I have gone it has been fairly crowded. When I first started going though, it didn't use to be. I always have fun though and it seems that everyone else does. When I go now, I just buy the fastlane+ so that we don't have to worry about lines and just have fun riding all day. The early time isn't terrible as long as everyone spreads out. Last year was crazy at Gatekeeper just since it was new so we waited until the park opened and jumped on right away with the fast lane. If you live close enough, definitely try it out at least once. -

Why are you sorry? It's your opinion that it's boring. I was sarcasticly pointing out that over the last several pages it's been a back and forth on whether or not gatekeeper was fun. I've seen a few people ask questions that kind of changed the topic away from the gatekeeper debate and they've been pretty much ignored. I don't really expect anything to change, but I'm sharing my opinion that this topic has been discussed almost tirelessly lol. Who's going to coastermania? I luckily had built up some vacation time, so my manager was able to get me that daY as a paid vacation day. Woohoo!!! -

This debate is so interesting. It's shocking really. Some people like Gatekeeper, and some people don't. It's a revelation that differing opinions make the world go round. Let's move on. The debate is boring. We all get it. -

Last year at coaster mania it was fairly busy. I definitely skipped Gatekeeper because of how huge the line was even during CoasterMania. The lines during the normal hours were long too. What my group did was just enjoyed coastermania, then when the park opened, we grabbed FastLane+ and the waits were shorter with the FastLane plus all day than they were during coastermania. Again, for the most enjoyable day, most care free time, just get the FastLane + and have fun. That's the best thing I could recommend. Even during thelunch, the line to get food was so horrendous we skipped out and bought lunch. It's an amazing time, but invest the money so you'll really get the most our of your day. -

Another tip I have for you, is no matter what, bottom line, you HAVE to go ahead and purchase the FastLane+. You have to. It is beyond worth it. You'll ride everything as many times as you want. It is absolutely worth the extra money. If you don't get to go often, you need this pass. I live 2 hours away and buy it every time. -

Hey Guys, is club TPR invited to the May 8th Media Day for these new rides? Thanks, Cyrus -
Looking at what you quoted.... are they mad they can't be here and jealous? Or... lol. I don't live in Ohio, but I've been on plenty of coasters from California, to florida, to texas, and Ohio. And of all those coasters, Banshee has absolutely stood out as a top inverted coaster in my opinion and experience. At the park today and it's been walk on for all the coasters. If you live close, I'd suggest coming to the park today.

We did front row twice, and we were able to catch a ride in every other row once. The consensus was that front row is the best. Honestly, any seat in the front. We traded sides each time in the front so we got to experience both sides, it doesn't matter where you sit. You feel like your flying. It's awesome.

I noticed if you sit on the outside seats on either side it wasn't bad. The rows are really wide. I also noticed people saying how comfortable the restraints are. They ARE super comfortable, but after so many rides, I have bruises on my collar bones today, both sides. That could be because I am skinny or maybe because I rode non stop yesterday. Regardless, the restraints caused bruising for me. They started to get sore on the 4th or 5th go around last night, but I am feeling it today lol. So if you ride it once or twice you won't have the issue, they didn't tighten either.

Here are a few photos and videos from last night. The quality isn't great, it's all from my phone. Had such a great time. Banshee Ride Logo Station and train More station and train View of the loading platform and train in station. More station and train. This was first train of the night with the 32 top fund raisers. Lift and loop, duh. A video of the station lighting, a train leaving the statioN then entering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y--PlLA35j4 A video of the scream, you can faintl hear the music, and the first inversion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDrsXTcaz2g It was really a great time. Thanks again to kings island for putting on such a great event. About 45 minutes in we were walking right up to the ride. After the first hour they basically said to just pick whatever row. I have no clue where everyone disappeared to. More Banshee.

Well, we just got back to the room. We rode a total of 9 tines in the two hours we were there. Rode front row twice and then rode each row once. I loved row 1, but row 6 was also an enjoyable ride for me. By the time we came back for our second ride, we walked right up. There literally was nobody there. We walked straight up to the station platform each time. It was incredible. Lived the music, the scream added a nice touch, and the ride had some really nice forces. I would have liked more floating, but the positive Gs were all there. The first drop and then the drop after the zero g roll were fantastic. I hope all B&Ms use these restraints on them from here on out. So comfortable. I see what people meant about it rubbing on your collar bone, but that didn't happen really until our 4th or 5th ride in. I'm looking forward to seeing the opening day crowds at Banshee. Will post photos tomorrow!
