Beatlemania [RCT2]
RCT2day replied to RCT2day's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^heres your answer After spending some time away from the park (doing contests and what not), i've gone back to work. However, after looking around at the park, I felt I could do MUCH better than I'd been showing so I closed the park and am re-doing some parts to the park. Yesterday was Ringo Starr's birthday so, in his honor, heres a pic from his section of the park: beach.BMP Octupus' Garden, props to Corkscrewy for the idea of the beach towel and tents from Atlantic Adventures -
RCT2day is proud to present his version of Vintage Acres, using the concept of '"Teh Big Dipper", themed to space. Rides include Black Hole, Sun Spot, Supernova, Meteor, Lift-Off, and many others. I had a lot of fun making this entry for the contest, thanks to everyone involved. Vintage Acres--RCT2day overview.BMP overview black hole.BMP Black Hole and Orion's Belt meteor.BMP Meteor

I've had that problem also and it deleted one of my coasters. For me, I still sometimes get it when I delete a certain piece of track or add another piece. Save often, figure out which piece of track it is, then isolate that track (no other parts touching it). I know its tedious and not a sufficient answer but its the only way i've found works at all. sorry i couldnt help enough -
Rct2 Track Design Contest!
RCT2day replied to accelerate's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
two questions: 1. is this still going on? no one's posted anything in a while 2. when saving to the game exchange, should we save it as "Custom Ride", "Parks and Scenarios". or "Tracks and Custom Tracked Rides"? thanks -

^agreed, the woodie is not great but its not bad. The out-and-back portion is great, easily the best part but the first drop and the turns after are somewhat boring, add something (maybe a hill or bring it under the queue line) to give some appeal to viewers. Good start though, sir -

This parks come a long way and really looks good. Goliath, Blue Streak, Eastern Creek Falls, Corkscrew, and most of Comet look great. The flat rides near the entrance of Surf Glider seem to be just there but the flats near Comet look beautiful, maybe add some buildings (your buildings are fantastic, by the way) or scenery like you did for that flats near Comet. Your usage of flowers has improved. Not really sure how I feel about Surf Glider though. Still, definetly a great and successful park, keep it up. -

congrats on that, no matter the contest it was a great park. the creativity in everything was brilliant for ncs. From what i see from the results, the winner's park did not seem as impressive by those pictures in comparison to yours but number #2 and #3 looked very good. Regardless of the outcome, it was a great park, looking forward to some more by you. -

Update: Works been slow. Need some advice, I made octupus' garden as a sub-section in Ringo's section. It is like a beach/playground with a splash down ride. Maybe i can post some pics of it but do you guys think i should use it as a sub-section? Don't worry, Thomas Town is still probable. Also, I put Yellow Submarine in Ringo's because he wrote it and its more Ringo-ish then Beatle-ish. More to come: sgt peppers lonely.BMP Sgt. Pros: -I like the helix with the sand and bushes -overall, very simple but effective -interesting station, maybe enclose the exit Cons: -not feeling the 2nd picture, if there was a tunnel I agree it would much better -the double helix isnt bad but it seems bare and I think the other helix looks much better Don't get me wrong, its very good and I'm impressed with your other coasters along with this one, keep it up -

Update, I was lucky to find time tonight to post some pics. Here's that coaster you could barely see last time; Blow Away by George Harrison. It is an inverted coaster, Excitement: 7.10, Intensity: 9.40, Naseua: 5.90. ^thanks for your comment and name suggestions. An Ozzy/Black Sabbath park has potential but how it would look I can't really imagine in my head. What I mean is all I imagine are two coasters (Paranoid and Crazy Train) but everything else I'm not sure how to approach. I'll do some song research, listen to those songs (I'm already familiar with Ozzy) and maybe I'll give it a go but I want to finish this park and another classic rock first. For Queen, I considered a Queen park but I found again only a couple could be transformed into a roller coaster but the name wouldn't really fit (bohemian rhapsody, killer queen, under pressure, another bites the dust). All great songs but the names don't scream coaster but more...laser light show. I will add a poll in my next park with both Ozzy/Black Sabbath and Queen. Again to everyone, updates are slow for me but maybe I'll get one picture tomorrow for everyone (maybe). -

Exactly. Your first I did not really like that much but this looks much better judging by the first couple pictures. With good supports, this has great potential for a great coaster. Keep this up -

^^a dark ride for Imagine is not a bad idea. For a big coaster, I used Come Together as a Racer, there best songs can't really be put into a ride form (Hey Jude or Let It Be). ^As much as it killed me, it was impossible to put in the zebra crossing unless I used custom scenery which I shall not ever use. The invert is Blow Away, one of Harrison's best solo songs and i think I'll be able to reveal some of it next time. Your name suggestions aren't bad but I've never heard them and aren't sure for which Beatle you're suggesting. A kiddie section themed to Octupus' Garden for Ringo is down as a plan for the park. Guns N'' Roses may be my next park and it could have potential with songs like Welcome to the Jungle, Knockin' on Heavens Door, and Paradise city. Thanks everyones comments -
Maybe Led Zeppelin Land wasn't very successful but I've begun on my next park as voted by you, Beatlemania. The park is around 140 x 140, completely ncs, and divided into 5 sections seperated by water. The first and largest section is dedicated to when the Fab Four were together as the Beatles. The remaining four are each dedicated to each Beatle and his solo career after the breakup. Ride names for each Beatle may be a little hard to fit into a theme park ride so I encourage you to post any song names for any Beatle I could use. I'm pretty busy now so I'll only get to update during the weekends. Onto the pictures. sign.BMP Beatlemania sign abbey road.BMP Abbey Road and Abbey Road Studios, the cover to the Beatles Abbey Road album abbey road 2.BMP more Abbey entrance.BMP entrance building with food court and guest services inside here comes the sun.BMP bridge into Beatles section and the first ride, Here Comes the Sun, a merry-go-round midway.BMP the begining of the midway in the Beatles section and a chairlift on top of the building harris, ski station.BMP chairlift leads to Ringo and George's section, here is the station for the George Harrison section harris, buildings.BMP some buildings with a food court and the first Harrison ride, Blow Away, more of this ride to come next

^^A Beatles park could compete with other parks but maybe not on a large scale like Six Flags, Disney, or something like that. About the coaster, I get what you're saying but don't feel bad for saying your opinion. I was going for a large and grand effect on the coaster like the song, didn't come out as well as I'd hoped though. ^Maybe, but as an overall guest transport should I use the train, trams, or monorail -

RCT2day replied to RCT2day's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Not to sound bad or anything but I'm not really getting any comments on anything, even a simple "its bad" is enough to know there is work to be done. Anyway, I've begun work on the next park part of the series of Rock and Roll parks: Beatlemania. It features 5 sections, one for each Beatle, and a middle section with the Fab Four combined. The entrance is designed to look like the cover to the Abbey Road album as guests walk Abbey Road into the park. In each band members section, there are rides dedicated to each's solo career after the breakup. In the Beatles section, it unites the Fab Four and features their greatest hits. Not sure if I should do this but there is one coaster in the Beatles section (Come Together) that is a quad-racer with each band member. Let me know what you guys think and maybe I'll start the thread tomorrow. -

thats really interesting but at times the cornstalk is too much or too little around what i believe to be the path people navigate through. Also, i wouldnt show any chain fence so maybe cover it with some cornstalk but overall a very interesting idea. Good job
