The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
Kyle Coleman replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I thought that the beast and magnum were both probably my biggest letdowns. Magnum just felt rough and old and the airtime was trying it best the whole time on the way back to break my thighs and the beast just kind of wandered around for about four minutes until it remembered it had to go back to the station. -
I had a really tight fit on lightning run at Kentucky kingdom a couple months ago but I am around 6'5 and 280 so that one was probably just me. Also, had to have some help on el toro on the same trip(it was a rough trip for my thighs between those two and skyrush). Never had a problem or needed any help on mf and dragster at cedar point so I never found those two unaccommodating like other people seem to.

Knoebels Discussion Thread
Kyle Coleman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Don't worry you will. Knoebels has all of the standard amusement park stuff but, they just have the best version of all of it. Just make sure you hit the flying turns first as the capacity of it is terrible. -
Insane Coaster Wars Season 3
Kyle Coleman replied to CPSFMMCW's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have full throttle ranked higher than gatekeeper too. I rode gatekeeper twice and was good for an entire two day trip and rode full throttle twice at last years wcb and am really looking forward to getting in some more rides during this years bash. -

Longest SBNO / Shortest Opened Coasters
Kyle Coleman replied to Heth's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Does all of hard rock/freestyle music park count in this thread? Been sbno for five years now with no end in sight. -
Count me in the loves skyrush camp too(although it did feel like my thighs were broken by fifth or so lap I took on it). I just love the non stop intensity and insanity of the layout combined with the constant amazing ejector air. I really see how its not for everybody though. It really does feel like the train is really angry with you and is trying the whole ride to get you out of it.

TPR Scandi Trip 2014 Mini Updates!
Kyle Coleman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The reason that I've always heard why more prefabs haven't been built is because they are pretty expensive for a wooden coaster. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here but I heard el toro cost 12 million to build when the average wood coaster costs between 4 and 6 million. However, the extra money will probably save tons of cash and man hours in labor down the road with the much lower upkeep. It is a real shame that there are only four in the entire world.
