  1. Quick question, Does anyone know why the person that is in front of the maze that lets you go in has a air horn? I noticed that right below their feet they have a air horn. I felt it was odd, I thought it was to let all of the actors know at once that the maze has closed and everyone has gone through.
  2. Ya It was nice seeing you again Gumball sorry I never got a chance to talk. It was insanely crowded tonight, like stated above. I hope JMA sees how much of a attendance boost can bring in and keep Halloween Haunt(with a new name I would imagine). Tonight was the busiest I have ever seen the park in a long time, every ride had a decent wait. Something that I didn't post last night(I was on my iPad and the keyboard was a pain.) I had witnessed someone getting it trouble last night for touching the Overlord! It was a younger kid maybe 11 or 12 and his father had started arguing with the security when they had saw it and someone else had seen it.( All of this happened in the Club Blood line as well.) I just don't understand why people would bother arguing with someone when they got caught and there was witnesses, just doesn't make sense. On another note last night I had noticed that every scare zone had it's own sign, similar to Underworld Ally but not that elaborate. I don't think they were their last weekend but im not sure.
  3. I will be going again tonight as well with a group of friends this time, hopefully I will run into you guys I will be wearing my TPR shirt as well.
  4. I would hate for that area of Santa Clara to turn like that, I feel it would be a big mistake to put the two teams together in the same stadium. A repeat of what happened this year wouldn't be good for the park or the area. For those of you don't know this years Raider/49er game caused lots of fights and a few shootings.
  5. ^It could be primer, I always just looked at it as Turn of the Century white. I think the last coaster to get repainted in the last 10 years was Woodstock Express which is kind of sad.
  6. I love the way Vortex looks with the green and black paint. That's the one thing that the park needs to do is paint the coasters. Especially Demon & Vortex they are both really faded really bad. At the bottom of the first drop on Demon you can even see the white paint from when it was Turn of the Century! Vortex is just faded and peeling quite a bit.
  7. ^Here you go! I pulled this picture off of the park's Facebook page.
  8. Didn't it say somewhere in one of the articles that Cedar Fair was still going to give some guidance to Great America? If its true maybe that guidance could be Halloween Haunt?
  9. I also forgot to mention that the line for Slaughterhouse: Annihilation was insanely long! It almost stretched all the way to Panda Express at one point. Luckily I went through right at 7:00 o'clock.
  10. Halloween Haunt was great, yet very busy tonight! Which is great for the park lets just hope JMA brings back this event next year. Talent was much better all around this week. The only scare zone that is still lacking is Dead Man's Cove. It seems that there is not enough actors or they are spending to much time on larger groups. I did went through all of the mazes except Wearwolf Canyon, I really didn't feel like waiting in the line for it. With just the very few scares that it had last week,I felt it wasn't worth it. Most of the rides had very short lines from what it seemed. I only went on a few.(Demon night rides are a must) Overall it was a great day and the boofet is worth every penny. I also met Nibbler, and Sunfire! The pictures are not trip report worthy, just some pictures of the talent and random Haunt pictures. Good views of Flight Deck in the Picnic Pavilion, but not as good Bay Area Day! ... Now we have some members of The Gauntlet and Underworld Ally dancing to a song that I don't remember the name of. Ruffles the Clown, just clowning around. Welcome to The Gauntlet! Big scary clown with a spider! Favorite picture of the night! Underworld Ally! Sort of hard to get a decent picture due to all the fog! Monkey driving a tank near Toy Factory! CarnEvil clown entrance,My favorite maze of the night.
  11. I would imagine Sunday's are the best time to go. With people having school/work the next day I would imagine most people wouldn't go or stay until the 12 closing time. I have a feeling that tonight is going to be very busy. Im glad I ordered the boofet tickets for tonight.
  12. ^ Glad to here the talent is better during the second week! Im going again tonight for my second time this year. Glad to hear that Drop Tower is running all six cabins once again! Im going to try and ride number 1 tonight. I will be taking some pictures tonight so I may have a small trip report.
  13. ^The Edge wasn't removed for Drop Zone, they removed the Ameri-Go-Round for Drop Zone. I believe they removed The Edge due to all of the mechanical failures that it had,I never did get to ride it myself although I wish I could.
  14. The other ride/attraction that has been gone for quite some time is the old trolley cars that ran from Orleans Place to Hometown Square I believe. I sometimes wonder if the rails are still under the asphalt which is a rumor I read online quite some time ago.
  15. Hope you have a good time! Im going again tomorrow looking forward to it!
  16. Here's another one for California. Winchester Mystery House Fright Nights Sep.30-Oct 31 Website: www.winchestermysteryhouse.com/frightnights.cfm
  17. Yup I will be there Saturday with a couple of family members and a friend of mine, which will be his first time at Haunt. Hopefully I will see you guys throughout the evening. Should be a great night! Usually the first weekend is quite so that should be nice!
  18. ^Opps Well I guess its a refresher for everyone.
  19. Also I was sent a email today with some VIP ticket options or as they call it, V.I.M (Very Important Monster) Some of them seem very overpriced but I wouldn't mind any of them.
  20. Haunt is starting in the next the couple days! How many people are planning on going this weekend? I will be going this Saturday.
  21. What vacant lots are they referring too? I don't know of any that are near buy or are they talking about the parking lots?
  22. I was thinking the same thing. In context, it seems like they just randomly named two rides that people would know, but that doesn't necessarily mean those two will stay. I guess all we can do now is wait and see and hope for the best... Here is where they want to build the stadium. Its hard to see but where the red circle is the location of the proposed stadium in Great Americas overflow lot.
  23. I liked reading all the comments on the news articles to see what the GP thought of JMA buying the park. Most of them seem mad because they way they look at it if the 49ers investors could buy a theme park then they could build a stadium. For those of you that don't know the 49ers wanted to use tax money to pay for the stadium, which I find outrageous.
  24. ^This one right here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTobqW1c0t0&feature=channel_video_title
  25. If they can operate the park without leading it down hill then that's great. If they have plans already for the park (attraction wise) they better show them soon.
