  1. Dude! Just let me know when youre gunna be here and Ill come up! We can ride around in our old 80's machines. -Ryan I'll send you a PM! Haha, yesssssssss. Norm kicks ass!
  2. Wow, that was actually pretty cool! I find it really interesting that the DMC12 still has that much of a following and are still in "production" today, you certainly don't see that with any other car. It's quite impressive. Even though they aren't anything amazingly special, it is cool how big of a piece of Americana they are! Kudos to Ryan, and anyone else, who keeps these things on the road! Ryan, we need some photos of Norm and the DeLorean together!
  3. ^That really sucks to hear dude, let me know if you need anything.
  4. Dave, this is beyond epic! Seriously, this is one of the best trip reports ever! But hey, why the hell didn't I get a picture with Ice Bat?!?!?!?! Haha it's okay though, you captured how much crap my car can hold! Seriously, as I was unloading all of it when I got home I could hear my suspension lifting because of all the weight!!!! I ended up selling a lot of that stuff as a fundraiser for my project, so it went to a good cause! I look forward to seeing you again Dave, and it needs to include another epic movie night!
  5. "Run! People are passing you." Am I close? Great job, Colin! Again, these marathon reports make me feel incredibly lazy. Haha, close but not quite! It was more like "You're doing great, and if you start to hurt just remember that in a few minutes it will go away" to which I responded "Yeah and then a few minutes later it will come back again!!" Thanks, and really ANYONE can do this! Take a look at the other people in the pictures! And everything tastes better with A1. Haha, I never noticed that! I really hate that uniform though, it's not really suited for marathons and stuff, moreso for 5K's. Luckily next year I can wear whatever I want, and it won't be that! Haha, thanks Jahan! And like I said, anyone can do this! I started running in 8th grade and the only reason I did it was because I wanted to go to Disney for a day, THAT'S IT! If you told me that 5 years later I'd be running a marathon, I'd call you crazy. I just ended up sticking with it because I had a ton of fun running and now here I am today! I suck at other sports, so this is really the only thing I'm good at! I just gave it a try, and found out I liked it, so I kept with it. Disney does an awesome job with this event. Parts of the course are a little boring, but there are always people there to cheer you on. It's a really fun race, and I highly recommend doing if if you are a runner or just want the experience. Oh and my times were 2:23:57 for the half marathon and 5:36:12 for the full marathon.
  6. Hey everyone!! Many of you know Renee (Nay) as the resident "TPR Runner", but I've been running the Disney World Half Marathon for the last 5 years. This year, as I am now 18, I decided I wanted to run my first marathon as I would be of age. Disney offers the "Goofy Race and a Half Challenge" which consists of a Half Marathon on Saturday, and a Marathon on Sunday. I signed up for this pretty much the day after I finished the half last year, and have been training a lot over the last few months for it. Well the race was this past weekend, and it was a LOT of fun and definitely worth the challenge and training!! After running this race I give Renee a TON of credit for doing what she does! 26.2 miles is a LONG distance, and I'm still in pain from it! But it was one of the most awesome things I've ever done, and I am definitely signing up for Goofy again next year! Renee's TR is going to blow this one out of the water, I promise you, but I just wanted to show you my photos from this really awesome event! Enjoy! And here are my three medals from the weekend! The Half Marathon is Donald (yellow), the Fully Marathon is Mickey (red) and the Goofy Challenge medal is Goofy (Orange, and obviously!). Renee has one more than me for running the 5K, but hopefully I'll do all three next year!! Thanks for reading everyone!! Me with my sign. I didn't feel too terrible at all, but my legs really did hurt! GO COLIN OON!!! My cheer squad couldn't get to me between the halfway point and the finish due to some terrible traffic, but here I am shortly after finishing! See I don't look too bad....yet!! After a sip of water I was on my way! Getting some words of advice from my coach.... I had a Wookie-Hair in my sock, so I had to remove it. Also I had a band aid on my toe that had come off, so I took it off too. Here I am approaching mile 13! Well it was just shy of mile 13, but I needed to stop for a minute and get some shot blocks from my group. My cheering squad at mile 8!!! One mile in to the race I passed my "cheer crowd", and then again at mile 4. Do you like my sign?! I wore it for the half marathon, but it only lasted 12 miles on the full marathon before coming apart. I am good to go! After this was taken I headed over to the corrals for the start of the race. My coach on the left, Bree, and her husband on the right, Chris. The next morning was the big day for me. The full marathon. This was my first full marathon ever, and I was a bit nervous! Here I am getting my bib number put on. And again, here is the entire team back at the hotel after the race. Here are those of us who ran the half. Check out that awesome uniform I'm wearing! Bet you haven't seen legs like that in a while! Me and my woman. I ran with that head band on and was paid $20 towards my project for doing so! As you can see, I was thrilled (actually it worked really well!) The next morning was the half marathon of which no pictures were taken! Reason being is because both my mom and I ran it, and thus here we are! And a little while later, it's over!! And they're off! With a little bit of fire, the 5K begins! Here is a mess of people at the start of the 5K. Apparently there were close to five thousand people running it. How ironic! Why hello there! Look at how tall I am! Here we all are again, except this time at the race! The 5K was held at Animal Kingdom. Usually it changes parks every year, but for the last two years it took place at AK. This was taken at about 5am on Friday. We are just about to board the busses to the "Circle of Life 5K". I didn't compete in this because my coach wouldn't let me =[ Here is the New Gate School running team prior to leaving for Disney this past Thursday!! Can you find me?
  7. ^HAHAHA!!! It's probably because I'm not naked! I got some photos back from the photographer from my magazine article, and WOW they turned out really good! Enjoy!!

  10. Hello again everyone!! I had a chance to pick up a copy of Sarasota Magazine today, and found my article inside of it! Check it out!! There will be a mini update this weekend I promise! I just wanted to share this with all of you!
  11. My gate is open too, come plant some fruit!!
  12. Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but I have a small one to make tonight!! Well Norm and I are famous! Yep, we made it in to Sarasota Magazine (http://www.sarasotamagzine.com) in the January issue! Check it out here! You can sort of see me in the lower right hand side of the photo cluster towards the top of the page! Hopefully the hard copy will have some better pictures though. Anyways, there will be a Norm report in a few days both here and on my website so keep an eye out for it! I'll be sure to give the heads up when that happens! Thanks for reading everyone!
  13. Fail. Try again next year.
  14. Name: Norm Town: Radville Code: 5327 5035 2560
  15. I was able to see the RCA Dome go BOOM this morning near my hotel. It's from a cell phone, but check it out. It was cool to watch!
  16. Dude, Lundy, that was awesome!
  17. Just my 2 cents worth, don't base your facts on No Limits. It's a simulation, and I can guarantee that the recreation and the actual ride are not even close to being exactly the same. I'm just saying...
  18. Thank you Jason! I got your donation today! I REALLY appreciate it!!! You'll be getting a thank you card soon! And Norm has been an absolute joy to drive around the last two days! He had a photoshoot for Sarasota Magazine today, and looked really nice! He's such a great little car! Thanks again for all the support!
  19. Thanks! I appreciate the support! Thanks Brent!!! You'll have to come out and see him when I'm there!! I appreciate it dude, every penny counts! Thank you!! _____________________________________________________________ Okay so today we have a HUGE update! NORM HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 20. Dude she's like 13!!! This isn't Jahan's sister we are talking about!! Hi Jahan!! Nice work Robb, keep it up!
  21. Wow, that looks awesome! I'd love a DVD of it! I also have to film everything on this trip as part of my grade, so I will be making a documentary about it. It won't be anything amazing, but I will document the entire experience. Thanks Eric! Once Norm arrives I will be hitting up as many news papers as possible to see if they would like to do a piece on my project. And thank you for the support! You'll have to come see me when I'm out there in early April. I have PLENTY of ad space still left on Norm! If they would like to make a donation, send me a sticker (or I can make them) then please let me know!! Thanks for the support! _____________________________________________________________ Also today we have an update. Norm will be shipping tomorrow, so I posted a new blog about it. Please check it out here! Thanks again for all the support TPR!!!
  22. Awesome! I have only ever driven a 300D, and I LOVED it as well! The reason I chose a TD was for the extra storage capacity that a wagon provides. There is just something about the Mercedes from the 1980's that is just so amazing, I love the things to death. I will probably never get rid of Norm after this project is over with. I plan on taking him on many more road trips over the years, and he will make a great college car for me! These cars have hit the 1,000,000 mile mark, and I would love to see that happen to Norm. Only 800,000 more to go!! Haha. And speaking of Norm, I purchased him today! YAY!!! He is shipping on the 24th, and should be here in early December! I'm really really excited!!! Thanks again for the support everyone!! Colin
  23. Dude, ever seen an intamin accelerator before? *Yes, I know this isn't an intamin accelerator* Ummm...have you??? Two of them have held the tallest coaster in the world record!!! I wouldn't say that is 0 feet.
  24. Thank you Cameron! Giving up sushi is quite a hard thing to do, trust me I know! I should keep a chart, maybe I'll do that tonight. And for everyone else, I added a new blog entry today! You can check it out here. Pretty much I summed up what and how I will be running Norm on WVO, and also there is a little shout out to TPR! So please read if you get a chance!! That's it for now guys. Thanks again for all the support!!! I really appreciate it! And look for a big update when Norm gets here!
