  1. Any idea if the hangar and control tower are still in the plans? I sure hope so!
  2. We are heading there in two weeks. I also would have to limit the spinning, but it looks like a lot of fun. Capacity nightmare, though, I assume, when the park is busy.
  3. 55 max mph will feel decently fast when you're on it. Batman the Ride is the same speed, and that one feels like it's really flying. All the wing riders are fairly short. So is B:TR, but that one is one of the best coasters in the park. Might as well find out what it's like for yourself.
  4. They also need to add the hangar fly-through building, the keyhole effect control tower, and hopefully the rumored water jets will be in there too!
  5. It's not dark red in person. It's a nice, shiny, fairly bright red, really..
  6. If I didn't live 15 minutes from the park, I'd appreciate seeing any pictures. There was a nice closer shot from Washington St. Rob posted that wasn't in this bunch. Any progress being shown just gets me more excited!
  7. Yep, that's what I use as a point of comparison as well.
  8. I noticed how steep that lift hill looks too. Can't wait! I will have to take a couple more drive-bys once the lift is completed.
  9. I wasn't assuming it will look exactly that way because it's just a cartoon, but I liked the idea of the way the queue winds around under the coaster, was all I was saying. I think it's very possible some of it will come to fruition, though. Willing to eat crow if it does?
  10. It looks like the queue line goes literally through the lower portion of the keyhole element/control tower, if I'm seeing that right. That would be quite the thrill while waiting in line, if the train is going to fly right over people's heads while inverting! Also see it does it soon after entering the queue. Nice!
  11. Brake run (I think) and large support up today! Looks great!
  12. X-Flight. Living 15 minutes from SFGAm, it's an easy choice.
  13. No way to tell 100%, but often they are women by themselves who look very uncomfortable/embarrassed to be cutting past everyone. Maybe they are still lying, but in that case, I just figure, it's just one person. Believe me, the girl in my case was not shy/uncomfortable/embarrassed in the slighted...she was almost aggressive - which makes even more sense seeing her dad's behavior... That's just obnoxious! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
  14. No way to tell 100%, but often they are women by themselves who look very uncomfortable/embarrassed to be cutting past everyone. Maybe they are still lying, but in that case, I just figure, it's just one person. Now, last weekend, a family was in front of me in B:TDK's queue, and their two teenagers entered the "theater" much farther back in line, but the mom waved them over, saying, "We reserved a place for you," and they proceeded to climb through several rows of guardrails and passed over 50 people to join their parents. The line attendant at the Flash Pass entrance had to have seen it but did nothing. I had trouble holding my tongue since they were directly ahead of me. Just plain disregard for others.
  15. I don't bother to call out the people catching up with their family and jumping the line, even though it's wrong. They all seem to think holding a place for someone is fine. I did, though, last year tell off a teenage girl who with her friend passed my daughter and me while we were all walking through the Eagle queue, since it was so brazen.
  16. Dead pan sarcasm doesn't work well on the Internet because there are so many ignorant people on Internet boards in general (like theme parks' web pages), so it's sometimes hard to detect the intended humor.
  17. And so they don't market themselves just because nobody's heard of them? They are trying to lure people to the park in England too, not just overseas.
  18. Plenty of people did criticize SFGA for copying TTD, as if two different manufacturers made them. I think Thorpe is just trying to generate a buzz as a marketing tool. Weird way to go about it, but it's working so far on here now, isn't it?
  19. After the dive, the two layouts are quite different, aren't they? That's like Gardaland getting upset Dollywood's wingrider has a traditional drop like Raptor's.
  20. The Edge at SFGAm, remember, met its demise soon after a computer malfunction caused a car to fall straight back down the lift shaft, injuring three teenagers. Doubt they have any interest in rebuilding it.
  21. Yeah, I thought that was a great find. That would be awesome!
  22. That's the whole thing. There's a No Limits rendering of it on YouTube.
