  1. ^ I think because a different kind of crowd goes to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. You see more families going for the Smoky Mountain National Park, the shows, the actual tourist attractions that thrive in the area such as the Aquarium. You don't see too many golfers there...
  2. Hey maybe if they get it reopened that might be more of an incentive for people to go "just in case" it happens again.
  3. Update Pre-Opening Welcome back, I have a few new pictures for you. Delta Demon has been testing frequently lately. This mini-mountain has been placed at the entrance to the Western area of the park. Buck-a-Roo Buffalos... or something like that... has been placed in front of Saltgrass.
  4. EDIT: It's a Kinetic North URL... Fake.
  5. Did I send the wrong picture? I meant to send this one but it's not up (another one is).
  6. Orleans Place Boardwalk - Grand Opening Soon
  7. Yeah, but it's still creepy. Sorta funny, though.
  8. You're taunting us... That's not fair!
  9. Won't they have to wait until everything is settled with the ride companies before they can be moved? Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it would go. I think that's why Robb said these would be "new for 2010" rides.
  10. Hold on... he was arm-and-arm and whispering... with his dad?
  11. That's an interesting color for Medusa. I'm looking forward to seeing what all they do with it. Great trip report!
  12. Update Pre-Opening Welcome back! I have some more nighttime shots from the other night for you. Screwball looks very majestic at night. The ferris wheel looms over everything now! Even the hotel! Check back soon for more updates.
  13. Seems like this park is doing pretty well. It'll be interesting to see what kind of coaster it will be.
  14. It depends on who's commentating it. If it's someone like Robb or Elissa then that's cool. But some soccer mom that the Travel Channel crew grabbed from the midway probably won't be too great.
  15. I was surprised to see that even when the park was operating during the summer, there was no mention of it at our local HRC. Not even during the TV promo of other resorts, casinos, etc. I think it was listed at the very bottom of the back of the menu. That was it. Not that advertising in Memphis would bring in that much business, but it would get the name to possible vacation-goers.
  16. This made me laugh... I see what you're saying though. This might have even done better in Nashville, Cleveland, or Memphis. Las Vegas would have been a prime location as well.
  17. I wonder if PARC or Blackstone would pick it up. Maybe even Parque Reunidos would be interested. I hate to see this park go to waste...
  18. ^ Sorry it was a lead-in to possibly the next edition of TPR survivor. Too soon though. The mayonnaise trap is coming.
  19. 8/10. Not too bad compared to the past few quizzes.
  20. Man, the Magic Springs/Frontier City add-on would've been awesome. Still... one trip is awesome too.
  21. My friends and I have been discussing this in class lately. It's a never-ending debate. Over the summer on a long road trip, I thought to myself, "What if we all see different colors?" Before you turn away, think about it. Ever since you were little, you've been taught that a banana is "yellow". But "yellow" is only a word. What I see as being "yellow" might really be your "blue". Some kids at school said "well what about a street light?". Alright, you've always been taught that "red" means "stop". It doesn't matter what color you see the light as, you know that THAT color means stop. Everybody knows that "red" means stop, we all just see the color differently. I know there is something someone could come up with that would debunk it but then what about colorblind people? I know this is a whacked out idea. I'd like to say that I'm not on drugs and I do have a life. This is just something that's stuck with me for a while. It's fun to see what people think about it.
  22. EDIT: Removed pointless crap. Looks like this is gonna be a close one.
  23. Here's the trailer for my new project. The name will not be displayed anywhere but in the trailer. (I don't want to ruin it for you). Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLdOUhqacfE Vimeo:
  24. EDIT: We're tied again. How will this all play out? Remember: Boobs > Wes
  25. I went to the eye doctor and as I was completing the eye exam he says, "That's disgusting." I replied, "what?" He said I had 20/15 vision! My hearing sucks so it's good to know that it's made up for in another sense. For those of you that might be asking yourself, "Isn't 20/20 the best?" It's really good, but 20/15 means that what somebody with 20/20 can read at 15 feet, someone with 20/15 can read the same thing from 20 feet away, a five foot difference. It doesn't mean I can see 20 feet out of one eye and 15 out of the other. What is yours?
