  1. I'm going to propose an amendment that KD buy what's left of the Big Bad Wolf from BGW and install it under I-305. This has gone from silly to ridiculous.
  2. I've seen this happen on Apollo's Chariot and Carowinds' Intimidator. Not a happy process for riders or ride-ops.
  3. Bakken--the double downs on that ride are insane.
  4. I see that Bakken has "faniced" up it Flitzer a bit (that almost sounds dirty). Scandinavia has a great collection of parks. You know, I think the brakewoman at Tivoli may have been the same one who gave us a backstage tour of the ride last summer.
  5. It was a new experience for me, too.
  6. Yeah to me that would've been the better idea rather than wrecking this ride. I refuse to vote trimmed dropped rides high in coaster polls. I feel like I'm being cheated. Just because it sounds like a better idea, that doesn't mean it would have solved the problems. As I'm not a expert I leave it to the engineers to find the best solution to these types of problems. I agree with Larry. I'm not an engineer, either, so I'm more inclined to trust the engineer's judgment. If this heads off serious maintanence and guest issues, so be it.
  7. I remember an episode of SyFy's Ghost Hunters where they invedtigated the Birdcage Theater. They came out convinced it was haunted. Thanks for the TR, Jimmy--always wanted to visit Tombstone.

    ^Then they swallow your soul!
  9. The TPR Day at Holiday World is getting more and more interesting.
  10. The Haunt maze in the queue does make the line seem longer from the outside than it really is.
  11. Yes, approach it only on your knees! Actually, this one wasn't bad as Boomerangs go--a helluva lot better than the one at Knott's.
  12. ^Very nice. BGW has made another accomodation to disabled guests by moving their wheelchair and stroller rentals to a new building just behind the ticket booths (it used to be just past the turnstiles of the front gate in a rather congested area).
  13. I vote for "both." These parks actually look very nice--good landscaping and theming.
  14. "Zee Tidal Va-a-a-a-ave!" Yeah, I really miss that old shuttle loop. Pretty intense going through the loop and nice air coming back down the spike.
  15. Excellent pictures, Will.
  16. Poncho team--no guts, no glory.
  17. I think it'll go straight to turnaround hell, but we'll see.
  18. Regular stand-up coasters are uncomfortable enough, thank you. Riddler's Revenge is as big as those rides should get.
  19. Santa Cruz? And all this time I thought you were going to the Wal Mart in Los Banos. Silly me.
  20. I'd like to interrupt this thread for a brief public-service announcement: "Brakes" are what slows the coaster down. "Breaks" is what happens to your mother's crystal vase if you drop it on a concrete floor. I'm sorry, but this particular spelling error drives me nuts (like using "loose" when you mean "lose"). I'm not directing this at any particular person, but this error is committed frequently here and on other sites. You may now resume your discussion. Thank you.
  21. ^Focusing more on the maid would've helped. I was just very disappointed in it, as a talented cast seemed to just sleepwalk through the flick, with the exception of Tim Curry (who was going all out, as he usually does).
  22. I agree with Fooz--this movie will probably never be made. As for worst movie based on a game, I vote for Clue.
