Desecravity - Hades God dammit, these guys need to come to the US already. I've already talked with Yuichi about it and we've agreed that I'll get them a New England date whenever they do get here, but he has no clue when that will actually be.

Five Guys voted favorite burger chain

The good thing about living near both Brattleboro and Northampton is that chains don't matter because the independent burger places in the area are lightyears better. -
Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?

50-ish and kinda sunny, but still underwhelming. At least mud season isn't atrocious, which makes me happy when I have to deliver food to people living on dirt roads. -
And their harder-edged counterparts, namely Septicflesh and Rotting Christ, as well as Type O Negative, the band that more or less made their existence possible. There's also Fleshgod Apocalypse, I guess, but everyone hates Agony because it was a change from "brutal death with symphonic elements" to "Dimmu Borgir/CoF playing watered-down death metal". At least Francesco Paoli is a cool dude who knows his stuff.

Canobie is pretty cool about running good programs, so I'm not too worried about that. -

Thank you. There's an abundance of metal in Texas. Pantera grew up mere blocks from SFOT and Dimebag Darrell's grave is within walking distance. Texas update coming tomorrow. Don't forget Watchtower, Helstar, and Devourment. -

The Suicide Silence show reminded me of how Mitch Lucker has been on my cousin's ****list for years due to multiple instances of inexcusably bad behavior that my cousin had to deal with back when he did security for the Worcester Palladium. Sufficient quantities of alcohol will make hurling a fire extinguisher at a 6'2, 220lb security guard as retaliation for his making you put your cigarette out seem like a fantastic idea, I guess. -

Does anyone know why these were added to the restraints? It seems like this park seems to have issues with their Intamin restraints. As a result of the accident at SFNE, all three Superman(Supermen?) mega coasters had their T bars modified. Now the U bars need to be slightly modified? I'm curious to find out why these were added to the trains and if any other modifications to the restraint system are planned, as the ride is four years old and without any major accidents since the transformation. EDIT: Does anyone know if El Toro had it's restraints modified as well, or is this a purely SFNE thing? In any event, at least it doesn't interfere with the ride experience. Might be a delayed reaction to the Darien Lake incident last year, but it's anyone's guess.

And Six Flags Discovery Kingdom SFDK has a pretty horrible reputation itself. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
Blind Idiot God replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
And also, I found a really weird one (Can't find it now) with some person asking about if they should take ecstasy pills before they go to a theme park... You would not believe how often a friend of mine who did security for SFNE from '06-'09 caught teenage couples trying to have sex in the park. Some of the places they managed to find baffled even him. -
The term is used to refer to an Italian-American male who acts in an overly shallow, ostentatious, and aggressively materialistic manner; while it used to be a general anti-Italian slur, the term has more or less grown restricted to that one type of individual. I do see where you're coming from, though.

For what it's worth, the popped-collar guido douche and his buddies did get thrown out of the park and were banned for the rest of the season for that stunt, but that, coupled with numerous other altercations with belligerent and/or drunk groups (the latter of which usually happened at night) in the line, was enough to make my friend give his two weeks and quit. Oh, and about the mention of the dude's being a guido: he apparently looked almost exactly like Ronnie from Jersey Shore, only with an even smaller shirt and multiple rosaries and gold cross necklaces. Also, every third word out of his mouth seemed to be a homophobic slur. Just a grade-A scumbag.

A friend of mine got transferred from Catwoman's Whip to the Bizarro single-rider queue and quit about three weeks later after he tried to kick an obvious group out of it only to have some roided-out guido douchebag in the group take a swing at him. He said it was probably THE single worst job in the park, even worse than cleaning out bathrooms. It was there when I went a few weeks back, but the sheer amount of groups trying to abuse it probably did get it removed sometime after.

Ug. I thought these new uncomfortable trains were supposed prevent the need for adding more parts that would make Jigsaw proud... What else can they do to make it even worse? This new Star Flyer sounds cool though. If done right, they can be an awesome landmark, like at Tivoli and surprisingly, a challenge to ride for many. It is kinda high though. Six Flags will probably add a cage around each seat for its second season. The leg guard alteration was probably for insurance reasons, as is so often the case with unpleasant modifications to rides. It just takes one moron to ruin it for everyone.

It could have something to do with Typhon, who was thoroughly beaten by Zeus and locked beneath Mount Etna.
