  1. I believe you mean Chance Chaos. Also, didn't Chance start making them in the late nineties? Eh, I never thought they were anything special... then again, the one at SFNE probably just had a crappy cycle.
  2. The Laskaris family is apparently despised by virtually everyone in the Dells due to a combination of extreme douchebaggery and egregious stinginess. They're the kind of people who would think nothing of hogging a restaurant for an entire night, pissing everyone off in the restaurant via gross misbehavior, throwing tantrums when they're not allowed any more booze, running up a four-digit bill, complaining loudly about the bill to the manager for about twenty minutes, and then leaving a sixty-dollar tip. Complete wastes of flesh.
  3. I have no clue as to why BGT hasn't installed the Millennium Flyers on Gwazi yet, but they really need to at this point. It's an excellent layout, but the lazy staff and staggering roughness from those goddamn PTCs have both taken their toll on it. Speaking of staff, they really need to focus on getting the Gwazi crews to a). make the damn thing duel, and b). dispatch the trains in a timely fashion.
  4. They probably have enough sense to weed out the bad ideas.
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if HRRR is down again.
  6. The sad thing is that a former student teacher at my high school hailed from Tampa and worked as part of the Phoenix crew in his junior and senior years of high school, and he said that the Gwazi crew has always been that bad. He said that they actually had to briefly keep multiple security staff in both lines due to frequent fights between patrons, not to mention the violent arguments like the one I saw that occasionally popped up between patrons and ride ops. Night was apparently the worst time due to large amounts of drunk patrons, many of whom got impatient fast and would cause myriad disruptions, including several all-out brawls. The worst one he can remember is when, after waiting close to an hour for the Tiger side, a rather heavily intoxicated dude beat the flying pig **** out of a ride op who measured the man's young son as roughly an inch too short to ride. The ride op apparently had to get emergency surgery to relieve severe cerebral bleeding (he had been kicked square in the forehead several times), while the father received a broken clavicle from being beaten by security when they were trying to peel him off the ride op, in addition to assault and battery charges and a lifetime ban from BGT and all other Busch properties. Apparently, the problem is that the company will almost never fire lazy employees unless enough complaints are made, and even then it's a crapshoot.
  7. I've seen a fair bit of stuff in the Gwazi queues. Guys breaking up with their gfs via cell, drunken fights, little kids trying to do the Soulja Boy dance, and autistic kids getting overstimulated and having meltdowns bad enough to require security? Yep. All in one day.
  8. Yep. I was surprised, and it made it even harder to prevent myself from bursting out into manic laughter.
  9. I think in General BGT operations are going down.....The only crew I've seen that seems to care about their work is the Montu team....as for Shiekra.....they've been running with only one bay....and taking their sweet time..... -Kumba has been running 1 train on busy days....while Montu is running at least 2....REALLY 1 TRAIN!!!! -COME ON BGT!!!! PICK UP YOUR GAME! There isn't a single crew at BGT I've seen in the last two years that I would describe as anything but sub-standard to awful. That includes Montu. They probably have some of the worst operations I've ever seen in my life, and that's with over 40 parks under my belt, including several Six Flags parks (who set the standard for horrible operations in the last 10 years). It really is a shame, a park as good as BGT with operations that bad. It's the only real black mark on their record, and I wish it wasn't that way, otherwise I would be more eager to go back on a more regular basis. True dat. The Gwazi crew is bar none THE worst crew I have ever seen; it takes them forever to do goddamn ANYTHING. It's kind of sad when the only competent crew I've ever seen at BGT was the Python crew way back in '03. Come to think of it, I've seen semi-competent Montu crews here and there, but every other crew has ranged from poor to rage-inducingly slow. I actually heard a particularly vocal exchange back in '06 between some fat kid in a Dying Fetus shirt and a member of the Gwazi crew: Fat kid: "Hey ***got, it's been three ****in' minutes and the ****in' train still hasn't been cleared. Get off your ****in' cell and do your motha****in' job." Crew member: "We're going as fast as we can." Fat kid: "Bull****. I've seen octogenarians **** faster than you guys." Crew member: "This is protocol. Watch your mouth." Fat kid: "So talking with your girlfriend about the abortion while ignoring the train full of ****in' passengers is ****in' protocol? **** you, you lazy-*** retard." Crew member: "You keep talking like that and I'm calling security." Fat kid: "Call 'em and have 'em haul my *** out, I ****in' dare ya. Seriously, do it. I've got enough info here to place a nice motha****in' complaint to corporate and get your lazy *** canned, *****." The last line was enough to actually spur the lazy crew member into getting off the cell. Fat kid didn't get kicked out, and I actually noticed a slight increase in dispatch speed.
  10. Given Terminator's proximity to Riddler's Revenge, I'd say that a DC retheme isn't out of the question.
  11. Considering how much the Yankee Cannonball packs for such a small ride, yeah, I think this will be pretty potent.
  12. Boulder Dash. Holy crap, it was practically a religious experience. SFNE Cyclone in the back also delivers.
  13. Looks like this'll be reason enough to make a little side journey over to Quassy when I next hit Lake Compounce.
  14. Sit in the front or back of any car (except the front seat). If your feeling lucky...sit in the back row. My friend sat in a wheel seat and wasn't beaten up. I dunno, maybe we just caught it on a good day.
  15. For some reason, my experience with Wildcat wasn't as bad as I thought it was. It might have been because I rode it in the front and right after the park opened on an October night, but I didn't experience any of the fabled roughness that I've heard about. Sure, it was fairly boring and didn't offer much of anything besides maybe a slight pop of air here and there, but it didn't exactly beat the crap out of me.
  16. Boulder Dash at night in the back. Holy crap does that thing fly, with the triple-up being especially savage.
  17. I don't have many to my name, but I'd have to go with Kumba. The second half is markedly less intense, but the first half seems to just keep growing faster by the second, and the cobra roll is absolutely ridiculous on its good days.
  18. The Batwing, I would have to agree. Hell, the batwing rips you a new one even WITH trims.
  19. I had been planning to go after school for some time, and my friend Zach was interested, and so it was. Got there at around ten after five (stupid Mapquest led us to the employee lot; also, we got to experience some horrible Massachusetts drivers, plus a hilarious little incident where some kid in another car on I-84 was staring at Zach, which led to Zach sticking his tongue out at the kid, which resulted in the kid giving us the Interstate Salute, which in turn led me to return the favor. Went on for about a minute before we switched from the bird to invisible gun gestures until the kid's car got on an exit. Cue uproarious laughter.). When we got in, the place was practically empty. Hit the Wildcat first; it was NOWHERE near as rough as I've been led to believe, but it didn't exactly do much either. Still a decent warm-up. Hit the Wipeout after that; not as intense as the one at Canobie, but certainly better than the Joker's Wildcard at SFNE. After that, well... BOULDER DASH! I must say that while it was excellent the first time around, it wasn't #1 material. I figured it'd probably have to warm up. We hit the Enterprise after that; pretty fun, though Zach had quite a bit of trouble figuring out how to get the door open. It ran for a pretty decent amount of time, too. I hit the Rotor after that; not as good as the Turkish Twist at Canobie, but Rotors are always fun nonetheless. After that came Thunder & Lightning; Zach sat that one out. Cycle was damn short, but it was a hell of a lot of fun while it lasted. He also sat out the Zoomerang after that; while it was smoother than the Flashback and had some pretty decent positives in the loop while going backwards, it was just a credit grab in the end. We finished off with Boulder Dash, and holy crap was it an awesome way to end things. It had clearly warmed up a bit, and we rode in the back; as for how it was this time around, well, it overtook S:ROS/Bizarro for my new #1. It absolutely FLEW through the first half, never seeming to lose speed, and it delivered astounding laterals and some excellent air, though the first half seemed to focus more on intensity than anything. The return leg was where the air was, as every hill made me fly up, while the triple-up gave ridiculous ejector. Did I mention that it was friggin' intense? We left after that; while we did get lost for a bit, we managed to make it home, though I did notice a LOT of cops on I-84 East. Not sure what it was about.
  20. Canobie's Wipeout really surprised me; it runs a good, long cycle with astounding laterals near the end and full-on ejector through most of the ride. It also scared the crap out of a couple little kids who happened to be sitting across from me.
  21. TusenFryd also has a pretty impressive one-two punch with Thundercoaster and Speed Monster.
  22. Final few bunny hills on Bizarro The curved hill near the end of the SFNE Cyclone in the back. Hell, most of the ride in the back has phenomenal ejector.
  23. I suspect that the problem with Iron Wolf is the trains. If Six Flags could take the time to order some B&M trains and scrap the old Intamin ones, I think that it would greatly benefit.
