  1. Seems six flags doesn’t want to pay to properly maintain an intamin. They build their own replacement track segments to save cost (according to el toro Ryan’s video on it)
  2. I wonder if this will force great adventure to get replacement track through intamin instead of building it in house
  3. Apparently something major happened on el toro today https://jcenews.com/2022/08/25/roller-coaster-malfunctions-sending-five-to-hospital/?fbclid=IwAR1eg0BeO9MvwV8G6e4G24zhq9IJT3-VjuYRF55LZOgMxhXbvXuIVYOr11c
  4. I think the signs are new, and installed since weed became legal in NJ.
  5. On Moreys connoisseurs Facebook page there are photos of the new trains for sea serpent being placed on the track. I don’t know how to link to the post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Vortex and other mega loopers put more stress on track and trains then Loch Ness monster and a few of the smaller ones if I had to guess. Probably future plans come into play here as well. I’m just bummed they waited until the end of the season. I’m a huge arrow megalooper fan and I’ve never been to kings island. If they announced in the spring that this would be the last season I would have put together an Ohio trip. It’s too late for me to get there now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. https://www.42freeway.com/clementon-park-closed-for-good-clementon-fall-festival-cancelled-and-more/ An article from a local blogger that dives in a bit. Clementon is only about a fifteen minute drive and I haven’t gone since hellcat was called tsunami. That roller coaster was aggressive when it opened and became unrideable within a few years. The profiling on the second hill was never fixed and somehow slammed you into the side of the car twice during a slight turn. Hopefully a new buyer can pick it up cheap and and fix it up a bit. 8. Looks also similar to the coaster at bowcraft which is closing. The layout isn’t the same in the photo, but does look similar. Wonder if it’s the same manufacturer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The doo whopper is actually on the old Dino beach pier right now in pieces, so it’s most likely being moved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. great stuff! And to answer your chickies and Petes question...They are a popular restaurant that started as a Philly sports bar.
  11. I saw photos of the wild mouse being disassembled. Maybe they are moving it to mariners to make way for something... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. www.post-gazette.com/local/westmoreland/2017/05/08/Idlewild-Park-Rollo-Coaster-accident-Declan-McClain-boy-thrown-from-rollercoaster-pittsburgh/stories/201705080134 A little update... Looks like they are replacing the entire coaster with a new one?
  13. I drive past clementon park a few times a month. Its usually almost always packed. Hell cat was insane when it was tsunami, before the trims.
  14. A lot of the sketchy looking places are surprisingly nice on the inside. A friend was staying at one...super creepy until we opened the door and the room looked like super modern and clean
  15. Just had those donuts this morning. They are fantastic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Just rode the nor Easter last night. It's scary how smooth it is. Two jolts, one at top of sidewinder and one coming out of the last twist, but I think that's due to space limitations. With the vests, the jolts are nothing to worry about. I also noticed the gaps between the wheels and tracks are way smaller. Up stop wheels were spinning same time as the road wheels. I'm thinking the newer track allowed for smaller gaps between wheels and track. The ride is super enjoyable and very re-rideable. I was skeptical, but Moreys and Vekoma nailed this. 17. www.nj.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2017/05/wildwood_coaster_now_so_smooth_a_grannie_can_ride.html Apparently actual grannies rode it. And said it was smooth. I was skeptical, now I'm just dang curious.
  18. Funny story about this place. I went to Montclair state, and lived off campus a few miles from this place in Clifton. It was almost fully built when I was in school. In 2007. TEN. YEARS. AGO.
  19. I'll have to find my photos, but a few years back the superstar trail had so much snow made on it, that while skiing you were higher up than the lift at one point of the trail near the top. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I'm wondering if the track just needed to be replaced. I think most of an SLC's issues are the train length. The first few cars get throw into the transitions and the last few get pulled out. They are what, nine rows on a 100 ft coaster? Also, good trains with good wheel to track contact are needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I drive past KD three or four times a year but never stop. I need to get on anaconda before its gone for good. I love the BDSM factor of old arrows.
  22. Vekoma's customer designs seem to be okay. Most of the Venom hate comes from their off the shelf rides. I would rather see the vekoma get built, it would be something different and give them a chance to break out of the SLC/Boomerang/ etc mold.
  23. I think it's also water quality too. Since NJ and the northeast has some of the toughest environmental laws, the water has cleaned up way faster than the rest of the country. It bums me out when people say the water is gross in jersey. Sure it's not always clear but it doesn't mean it's polluted. Back on track, I loved dare devil dive at sfog and can't wait to ride another eurofighter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I mean, sure, if you're a fan of needles. NJ has some of the cleanest beaches in the country, I think tied with New Hampshire for first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
