I have not been able to stop playing Mario Kart 8 since it came out.I would love to start a leauge because the online racing is really good.

I'm sure many people weren't very impressed by Thunderbolts original crude pov layout in it's early stages. Knoebels new ride could be much more impressive when the final product is done.

Just got home a bit ago and managed to get out and ride Thunderbolt today. I gotta say that this ride was really good, exceeded my expectations. It wasn't rough at all and the pacing was really good. Something I found unique and smart was the clamshell part of the restraint is actually on a swivel and swings freely, this allows the entire restraint to be in contact with your lap and makes it very comfortable. Those airtime hills give some serious air as does the turn around, it is a very stellar ride and I would recommend people get out and check it out. Snapped a couple pictures from my phone, the ride was down due to fireworks from the baseball game so I didn't manage to get the night ride I wanted.

I have never been to Rye Playland despite living in NY. I am visiting a friend in NYC Saturday is it worth the 30 dollar admission? I will almost do it in case the park isn't open in the future.

I may swing past Coney Island next week to check out thunderbolt, is there enough good rides available on the wristband to justify it? I only sent there once just to ride the Cyclone, I didn't really have enough time to look around and see what was there.

Considering it cost me 13 bucks to drive over a bridge to visit my friend on Staten Island, 10 bucks for a rollercoaster ride is a good value for me in NYC.

Did they open it early for season pass holders? Or is it only open to season pass holders all weekend , I am thinking of stopping out there on my way to Lake Compounce on Sunday to snag a ride.

I think one of these would fit in quite nicely at The Great Escape or Lake Compounce. Looks amazing.

Anyone going out to Lake Compounce for opening day tomorrow? It will be the first time I go there on opening day, anyone who has in the past so they normally have both trains for Boulderdash ready on opening day? I went when they were running one train last year and the line was awful, but it was still worth it!

I wonder why the Nitro crew is having so many issues this year. They have always dispatched trains as the one ahead of it is clearing the lift. Hopefully they return to that by the start of summer. So long as people fit the El Toro crew has always been amazing.

I was there Saturday and it was a great day.My first ride on Phoenix was a little slow but later on in the day it sure was flying, just needed a little time to get out of hibernation I suppose. My only ride on Twister was early too and it gave a great ride, I'm sure it got better as the day went on like phoenix did. The real winner of the day was the flyers, a good breeze all day had those going crazy, I even managed to clip a tree brach on one ride . Overall it was just fantastic to be back at Knoebels and I will be going back next weekend and can't wait.

I was there for a couple hours today and Goliath was testing the entire time I was there and seemed to be running fine.

Does anyone know what six flags policy is on the temperature they start the rides is? I was thinking of taking a trip out to SFNE tommorow morning but it looks to be around 45 at 11 am so I am hesitant to get there for opening.

Was the park really crowded?

How has opening day been today? Curious as I am going tommorow and the really nice weather has me worried about long lines and reduced capacity due to not all trains being ready.

That ride is just bananas, oh how I hope a park somewhere resembling the northeast gets a RMC in the next couple years.

Does anyone know how the whole biometric scanning has lowered the amount of time it takes to process the pass? I am going on Sunday and hope to not have to wait in a long line.

As was said I really hope this has lap bar restraints. I wouldn't expect it to as Knoebels doesn't have a track record for requiring more restraint than is necessary

That's a relief, I wouldn't think that Knoebels would add an impulse like wicked twister. While it may be a good addition I am also hoping it isn't a water coaster, don't the newer ones use LSMs for the lifts?

It appears that east coaster is tommorow, I really hope they say something I am very excited. I'm sure whatever it is it will be great, as everyone else I am really hoping for a boulderdash style Woodie.

How is SDC's Christmas event in comparison to Dollywoods to people who have been to both? Is SDC on the same scale as Smokey Mountain Christmas?

I have only ridden Ravine Flyer so I had to go with that, I will definatly be getting out to Quassy to ride WW next year though.

I got on it three times this weekend, it was a great ride and by far the best bobsled coaster I have been on (Alpine Bobsled, Avalanche and Disaster Transport). The run of un inhibited turns after the second lift gave a great feeling of freedom and it was one of the few times I've been scared on a coaster. Also the feeling of being surrounded by wooden trough is a very different and really has to be ridden to experience it, the videos don't do it justice. Overall it is a great addition to an already amazing park, and it will be a must ride every time I visit.

I went this weekend also, today was the best day of all, it felt like I had the park all to myself all day. Every ride was a walk on in pretty much any row you wanted. The flyers were running insane all weekend,not sure if its the cold air or what but every ride felt unsafe in the best way. It was great re riding phoenix for the last half hour of the season. Can't wait to go back opening day next year.
