  1. Interesting that it looks like they're now going to use Outlaw Run style trains. An outcome of the NTAG accident?
  2. ^Those aren't entirely accurate. NTAG (due to blocking) can only theoretically reach a capacity of around 1300 (but it's Six Flags, so expect less), and Outlaw Run can reach 1000-1200. SFGAm is usually good about keeping rides at their highest capacity, so it shouldn't be a problem.
  3. I personally believe it's just going to be a larger version of Superman at Discovery Kingdom (although hopefully with two three car trains and a Mr. Freeze style transfer track).
  4. We already have a thread for this: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1340114#p1340114
  5. But didn't Fireball also receive a heavy re-tracking just before TPR came there? I would like to know how Fireball was running before that, as that will give us an idea of how rough this ride is (hopefully not) going to get. And on the video, there are some POV's of the ride that are much, much worse.
  6. ^We've known the name for some time. But I do agree that this ride will probably become pretty rough pretty quickly. Why do all the M&V rides feel the need to use PTC's instead of Timberliners?
  7. Still a crappy POV but the best one of the ride out there so far. Looks to have some killer airtime and the Double Down looks epic. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNTkyMTQyNTI4.html
  8. ^Sorry, haven't been paying that much attention to this project and it said "Updated August 2013", so I assumed it was new. My apologies.
  9. Apparently Thunderbolt has been changed to have a vertical lift, a red color scheme, and is mirrored the other way.
  10. "Not sure if I will write down some notes or wing it Thursday night when we announce our new world record-breaking attraction." -KI Twitter. Yeah, I think its definitely gonna have some sort of new inverted seating arrangement (Like Deja-Vu).
  11. ^And I could understand why...
  12. So I'm confused, did this park open with many rides missing (as it looks unfinished), or just the LSM launcher?
  13. ^Especially after not just Gatekeeper last year, but Outlaw Run as well.
  14. Just a small note, but if this ends up having 8 inversions or more they can market it with "most inversions in America". I'm usually not the biggest invert fan, but this project is looking quite interesting. Can't wait for Thursday.
  15. Seems to be similar to Flight of Fear. Hopefully we see more Premier in the states soon, as they're quickly becoming my 2nd favorite ride company (behind Intamin of course ).
  16. Did I miss something or did the word-filter go away? (click)
  17. Did we ever get a price on Full Throttle? I imagine it was quite a bit more the Superman at Discovery Kingdom (6 million), but I really have no idea. I know everyone is really psyched about Iron Colossus (if it happens I'll be too), but has there been any indication of anything, or is it just pure speculation?
  18. I would also like to see it. However, it's a shame though that this only happens when bad things happen at amusement parks.
  19. ^^I personally believe that it was just a very bad circumstance: that the dimensions of the rider were just right to allow the lap bar to lock, but not be able to restrain her properly. I believe that the ride attendants could of questioned it, but late in the day after a long day of work the operators probably weren't specifically looking at where the lap bar was positioned on her (if it was even possible to tell. I believe that Six Flags should install seat-belts on the ride, where they limit the size of the riders that are allowed on, and probably another accident like this won't happen again. However I would not be shocked if we start to see a (hopefully brief) return to OTSRs, as the GP begin to demand it.
  20. ^^Welcome to America: Home of Lawyers and people without common sense. Thoughts and Prayers to the Family.
  21. Staying in Philadelphia and out of the blue decided that tomorrow we might go to Great Adventure. However we would only be able to stay to about 1 or 2. So a few questions: 1) Is it better to go to Ka or Toro first? (Personally I would like to do Toro a few times) 2) We expect it to be crowded, but we don't have the need to do a bunch of the coasters that are cloned in other SF parks, so should we still get Flash Pass? 3) Where does Flash Pass put you (is it station or do they have certain cars)? Thanks
  22. ^You think the park would have been supervising the shoot though, and would've looked at the force readings and realized that it was mistaken.
  23. Enjoyed the 2nd episode of Insane Coaster Wars, happy that I-305 won, though I think Blue Fire should've done better than Tower of Terror. The one thing I kept cracking up at (unless I'm terribly mistaken) was the "G-Force" readings on Titan: -1.5g's on the airtime hill.
  24. Nice to see B&M experimenting a little bit. Has there been any other update on the Deep Space coaster? That's the Premier LSM, correct?
  25. Drove by Fun Spot about an hour ago, and the place looked like it was packed, with the line going way out of the entrance. Looks like their numerous news stories, ride shoots, and promotions paid off. Awesome to have another park in Orlando (with a really good woodie).
