Mystery USA GCI Project?
Hayzle replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have a weird feeling this is a Six Flags park, only Great Adventure Magic Mountain and Over Texas have "given away" what they're doing next year, everyone else is still a mystery so that leaves a bunch of parks left that haven't given anything away -
Well since Riddler's has only been running two trains for a while now I doubt the roller coaster formally known as Chang will run more than two trains. I am think that they will add a row to one of the trains from Kentucky Kingdom because it ran 7 row trains and the the green train will be painted and used as is the rest used for parts or maybe sent to great america for iron wolf?

Six Flags Over Texas (SFOT) Discussion Thread
Hayzle replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I never realized just how close the Cowboys' new stadium was to SFOT.. I think it's crazy how Astroworld was right near the Texans Stadium and SFOT is right near Cowboys Stadium. Ironic no? -

I thought the same thing, but the front of the car had no dummies in it. If the ride goes that speed when they open officially with the Timberliners yeesh Voyage is gunna suck. I find it weird though cuz about a year ago they ran the Timberliner prototype with only three or four cars on Legend and it ran really fast. Who knows what's going on but I'm worried now (edit)Just watched it again there are three rows just running the wheels with no seats on them and five rows have no dummies, wonder why that is? -

Sorry to burst your bubble but if you read the previous posts they were talking about the Hersheypark Half Marathon -

They've done no support construction in that area yet it's still left over from the original giant -

Nice video. One thing that strikes me as odd is that this may be the only park I have not heard a rumor about for the 50th anniversary addition. Are there any markers, rumors sign of construction etc floating around the area/web? -

I blame the Intamin cable for Storm Runner's problems -

Even though I will probably never ride this, I just can't wait to see what they end up with. If this ride is as good as it looks Six Flags Over Texas could have a real winner here -
I've been goin once or twice a year for the last four years and i must say the one thing I think every year I go is how the park is improving yet it is missing the middle "filler" rides such as thrilling flats and mid sized coasters. When I went to Hersheypark last year I thought that it was really all solid filler rides except Storm Runner. That I thought was on par in terms of thrills with El Toro or Nitro. But rides like Farenheit, Wild Cat and Lightning Racers are what the park needs right now with thrilling flats. We have the big rides and the kiddy rides but kids who are in the middle have very little to do.

I also find it weird that the paint job was barely even started on this ride and at the end, the station looks incomplete and they have only one car put together and working. The ground underneath the ride also seems to just be tossed around from construction and not graded or anything. I'm just worried that they will never finish the ride completely. -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

Just a quick thought, is there any chance Intamin manufactures a wider turn for the first drop to allow the ride to run without trims, or will we just have to deal with the trims the way they are? The best part of most rides is the first drop (imo) and from what I've heard the trims ruin what may have been the best first drop in the world -
I find it weird that this has never been an issue on any other B&M coaster until now.. The inverts, loopers, floorless all have similar if not the same restraints yet no other park has ever had this happen or made this modification. I think the kid who hurt himself was too small to be on the ride and the operators never realized it

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Hayzle replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
How about moving wicked twister somewhere else in the park (maybe demon drop's location) and then re-doing that entire area into a somewhat themed throwback area to Cedar Point's past with a near exact recreation of the Cedar Point Cyclone? -
So what is everyone here thinking? New coaster, honestly just new maintenance? Since the plans changed at Great America and Great Adventure, I could see the plans changing here too. Maybe they use the existing structure and build something like kingda ka, but faster and taller? I always thought that would look impressive up there on top of the mountain. Just my two cents

That news is very disappointing. At least they are doing the right thing by alerting us on the status of the ride regularly unlike other parks (cough! knoebels)
