  1. I thought of that to, but I'm too afraid at this point to hope for anything like that. But I seem to remember that most of those are less than 150 feet. Plus, they'd probably take up less space because of the vertical lift hills, and there are none so far on the west coast. It'd be awesome if SFDK became the first. Gertslauer's 320+ Eurofighter Model is only 72" tall: http://www.rcdb.com/9517.htm It looks like Untamed would be able to fit in Big Spin + Extra Un-used Space Originally for Zonga.
  2. I've heard this one more times than there are people... Space Mountain goes upside down. (refering to Disneyland's)
  3. The plot for Pandamonium was quite small. Since it's a small plot, I see a Gertslauer replacing a Gertslauer... I'm thinking Eurfighter right now...
  4. Okay okay okay....calm down... First: During the Q&A at CGA during Bay Area Bash, we were told by the management that the woodie is indeed coming to the park in the next few years. They also told us, that while the neighbors expessed some legitimate concerns about nose levels coming from the coaster that could indeed disturb their workplace, a sound test was done that indicated the sound was within acceptable levels. They were expressing their concerns, is that such a bad thing? Second, Boomerang Bay still brings in consistently large crowds, but probably not enough to justify a new slide complex that can only operate for part of the year. The water park is free with admission and still has a fair amount of rides. Third: The coaster isn't going to be here for 2012, management told us that. The project is ready to go, but won't be put into effect next year. Expect it 2013-2014 I believe they said. Unless something changes, the ride will be here eventually. Fourth: The Spongebob 4D attraction caters to families, and a very large crowd, and consistently has long wait times. At this time there is no point in changing it. If SFDK eventually decides to start using theirs again, who knows, maybe they will change the film. For now however, Spongebob isn't going anywhere.
  5. This is going to kill off this game... I'm going to say, It's one of these: http://www.rcdb.com/r.htm?nm=na&ty=2&ot=2
  6. According to several key figures working to complete this project, the entire thing has been canceled for good. Just thought I'd let everyone know.
  7. Wait...is this really happening? Is this possible? Has someone actually gotten a decent re-creation of Screamin's Layout in RCT3? Thos was made to be as acurate as possible.... [MOD EDIT: But surely the spelling was NOT!] This was made to be as ACCURATE as possible...
  8. ^ We don't need another Cedar Point Looking interesting...not sure how much I like the Hyper-Lite being that close to the edge of the map....
  9. A friend of mine told me an interesting number at Bay Area Bash... Supposedly X2 costs are 272,000 dollars a week to maintain? That seems a bit outlandish, but with X2, I wouldn't be too surprised.
  10. Recently in chat I was discussing how I had been looking for the soundtrack for California Screamin' and Space Mountain, and hadn't been able to locate them. Eventually I managed to track down some downloads for each one....however.... I believe the Space Mountain and California Screamin' soundtracks, at one point, were for sale somewhere in Disneyland. On YouTube you see hundreds of videos using theme park music without any parks having legal issues with it. What exactly are the legal issues surrounding soundtracks such as those and say the Paradise Pier Soundtrack. Is having the download for each one illegal since at one point they were for sale? Also I know some people go through the parks with recorders and record the music in each area and the post it on sites. Is this too considered illegal, and if so, do parks just not care whether or not the soundtracks are on the internet? I hope I worded this correctly, I was just interested in hearing exactly what people had to say on the issue...
  11. If I recall correctly, one of the piers in San Fran has a small tribute to the old park...I believe it's called the Museum Of Mechanisms or something along those lines. Anyway, it shows off many classic arcade and mechanical amusements from the 20th century.
  12. I just thought I'd post in here since this was my first TPR project, and it's been a little over a year since I started the project. I've been playing a lot of RCT2 lately, and there is the possibility that I could start the park over, completely new. Would anyone be interested in seeing my improved skills in action?
  13. Apple's 1st Gen iPads...mine now has a problem where when I tap the video application, all I get is a blank, black screen. And I got my iPad for watching videos.....
  14. During Bay Area Bash in line for Tiki Twirl: Kid Next To Me: Hey did you know this ride was made by the people who made that big Superman Coaster at Six Flags?
  15. It was so cool getting to meet everyone this weekend! I can't wait till you post the CGA pics! Too bad you couldn't catch those idiots who were standing up on the splash boats....
  16. A few more hints were dropped during the Q&A at Bay Area Bash today... They were dropping very... unclear hints.... Pandamonium was rumored to be heading to Six Flags Mexico... If you look closely at Pandamonium's lot, the ride itself could easily be removed....it's basically just bolted to a concrete slab left over from Zonga... Not so subtle hint that a coaster is on way? Maybe that Flyer or Eurofighter is on the way...? They also mentioned that they had plans for the future involving the Motion Simulator.... Apparently all SF announcements will be made in Spetember... It can't come quick enough!
  17. Just got back from SFDK, I had a total blast! The Q&A was very interesting.... They were hinting at the possibility Pandamonuim's Removal and a new coaster.... So will SFDK be loosing a coaster but gaining another?
  18. So who is going to be the first one to start complaining about the lighting package?
  19. Chameleon Circuit - An Awful Lot Of Running If you're a Doctor Who fan, you'll like their music.
  20. This thing just looks crazier and crazier every day! I just wonder what it's name is going to be....something Egyptian....
  21. With the removal of Iron Wolf at SGAM confirmed, it only strengthens the suspicions of the other convoluted rumors about SF parks lately. I really can't see the park's most popular coaster besides Medusa leaving after a mere three years operation, but after all these rumors, maybe so...
  22. I can't wait to see everyone today! SFDK here I come!
  23. While the "Extended Flyer" that comes with NetOn2 does have more options, I created a layout just as good without the addons.
  24. To add to my growing list of this type: Kumba I've heard absolutely terrible things about this B&M, but MAN did it pack one seriously intense punch!
