  1. All Coasters w/ the exception of Boomerang will close in the rain. Zoom and PE are the first coasters to close for rain.
  2. Had no idea KD had a monorail. Thanks for posting.
  3. No park does that. That's a very time consuming test that isn't performed every morning but instead is performed periodically which was not clearly written in the Intamin SOP according to the park. (Thanks Joey for pointing that out) Visual inspections however are every morning.
  4. ^Exactly. Android users already have enough problems with their phones.....
  5. Looking great. Thanks for the update. I hope to make it to the park in the next couple weeks to see for myself. Friend of mine went to the park a few days ago and said the operators @ Minion Mayhem were nice and let him in even though he didn't have an AP.
  6. ^My mistake. Shoe policies vary from park to park.
  7. SB @ Knott's they will make you take loose-fitting shoes off. In the event of an evacuation, the operators have a designated "shoe bin" they will use to take the rider's shoes to them wherever they are being evacuated.
  8. ^^Yea...no thanks. ^What he said.
  9. The "best" part about it being labeled a coaster and not a flat ride is that they'll be able to shut it down immediately if a raindrop falls anywhere in the state of Ohio. Sad, but definitely true.
  10. ^I understand how blocking systems work, I just didn't know if Banshee had 4 or 5. Thanks for the clarification.
  11. ^Wasn't the parks fault. It was a faulty cable. I operated XC for 5 1/2 years. Every inch of all 3 cables is inspected every morning.
  12. Leviathan has 5 blocks. Banshee should have 5 also but that brake run looks a little shorter than Leviathan's so it may just have 4.
  13. Pipescream looks ready to test any day now. I find the Zamperla Disko coasters a hell of a lot of fun.
  14. ^Spongebob's has stationary cannons on the exterior of the ride. This particular water attraction has the potential to be a hit as families love teacup spinning style rides and they also love water rides. I see Mack selling a good amount of these. This particular attraction would have been a great addition to the Boardwalk @ Knott's.
  15. I believe the only that's open is Spongebob's Splash Bash @ at Blackpool. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  16. ^Agreed. Knott's does a great job maintaining their attractions.
  17. Problem is that the 4 week time frame is in a 'perfect' world. Sometimes they have to wait for parts which will delay the rehab. Also keep in mind a 3rd party is used to perform NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) on the wheel bogies and various parts of the train chassis which can sometimes cause delays as well.
  18. A complete train rehab should take 4 weeks per train. I learned this from my many conversation with SB's 2 main mechanics back when I worked the ride.
  19. ^Rutin manufactures their track but not sure about their trains. Linearinduction has posted the name somewhere on the Lagoon Thread but can't seem to find it.
  20. Silver Bullets train rehab schedule causes it to have 1 train operation for spring break every year which sucks.
  21. DOSH would have a field day with the Rocket Rods track.
