No park does that. That's a very time consuming test that isn't performed every morning but instead is performed periodically which was not clearly written in the Intamin SOP according to the park. (Thanks Joey for pointing that out)
Visual inspections however are every morning.
Looking great. Thanks for the update. I hope to make it to the park in the next couple weeks to see for myself.
Friend of mine went to the park a few days ago and said the operators @ Minion Mayhem were nice and let him in even though he didn't have an AP.
SB @ Knott's they will make you take loose-fitting shoes off. In the event of an evacuation, the operators have a designated "shoe bin" they will use to take the rider's shoes to them wherever they are being evacuated.
The "best" part about it being labeled a coaster and not a flat ride is that they'll be able to shut it down immediately if a raindrop falls anywhere in the state of Ohio.
Sad, but definitely true.
^Spongebob's has stationary cannons on the exterior of the ride. This particular water attraction has the potential to be a hit as families love teacup spinning style rides and they also love water rides. I see Mack selling a good amount of these. This particular attraction would have been a great addition to the Boardwalk @ Knott's.
Problem is that the 4 week time frame is in a 'perfect' world. Sometimes they have to wait for parts which will delay the rehab. Also keep in mind a 3rd party is used to perform NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) on the wheel bogies and various parts of the train chassis which can sometimes cause delays as well.
^Rutin manufactures their track but not sure about their trains. Linearinduction has posted the name somewhere on the Lagoon Thread but can't seem to find it.
