  1. Yes not to mention it would be a great family addition. ^You watch your mouth. Boomerang is an antique. There's 3 attractions that will be running if that park were to burn to the ground. Wipeout, Supreme Scream and Boomerang.
  2. ^This! Not to mention Scramblers require VERY little maintenance, only require 1 operator and are an absolute hit with families. Simple yet EXTREMELY effective ride.
  3. Now you're just talking nonsense. This statement can't be true.
  4. Couple things...... 1. This is fantastic 2. I didn't know Intamin sold another one of the ball busters......I thought SFOG were the only suckers....I mean park "lucky" enough to have one.
  5. Depending on how tall the brake run is the train may not have enough speed to maneuver too many elements as those trains act like sails when they hit the wind.
  6. SFDK already proved with V2 they can't be trusted when submitting ride plans.
  7. Ths problem with Riddler's is not technically a ride issue. It's an issue with people playing with the damn seats. The operators say "seats will be locking in 3-2-1" then shortly there after you hear complaining from some tard who was jumping up and down in his seat.
  8. The drop tower is slated to be built just after the Aquatrax.........
  9. ^That doesn't necessarily make sense if they're within the same park chain..........
  10. I'd also say Goliath takes the Gold in the "excessive labor usage" category.
  11. ^You're absolutely right. The X2 crew has been on it. Only been to the park 4 times this year but all 4 times they were sending a train to the lift while the other was coming through transfer into "unload." Sucks that S&S still has it programmed to stop a train in the former "unload" even though the "load" station is unoccupied.
  12. This right here looks like a good time! Intamin + rain = Fun for everyone involved. Awesome photos as usual. Thanks for sharing.
  13. ^$20 it will be called something original like Goliath.
  14. ^That's awesome that they took the time to reply. Thanks for asking that question as I wondered the same thing.
  15. ^Wasn't referring to Boomerang. I love Boomerang, roughness and all. Just make sure your head is firmly against the headrest. It's the difference between a headache and a concussion.
  16. ^1/2 of your statement might not be as far off as you'd think.
  17. S&S Pneumatic launches use steel cables. As stated above their launch coasters use the same principal that their S&S Turbo Drop and Space Shot towers use.
  18. This I know. I was just giving him a hard time. To be fair though, wheels are still used as the Pneumatic launches still use steel cables. Albeit not quite as evil as the Intamin cables.
  19. ^^I'd say it probably evens out. Hydraulic launches have an insane amount of mechanical issues/failures. They are costly to maintain. However, per launch probably cheaper to run. LSM/LIM launches have 90% electrical problems as they have no moving parts. They cost more to run per launch but are a lot more reliable. ^Are you an inside salesman for Intamin? Intamin will sell anything to anyone with the $$$. Air powered Hydraulic launch? Sounds interesting......
  20. While I CAN say I'm not surprised at this exhibition of horrid guest service coming from a SF park, It was however blown WAY out of proportion.
  21. "Our Millennium Flyer trains may be available for existing wooden roller coasters that meet Great Coasters' strict standards for track and structure condition, as well as acceptable dynamic profiles. We are available to assess these conditions and help you with any necessary improvements that may be required in order to make your coaster fly." Source: GCI Site They WILL sell the MF trains for existing wooden coasters however GCI engineers need to evaluate the track first.
