hey everyone who was at the unofficial meet and greet at the 1978 scale model display, lets all sign in. I know i knew a few people there from their hoodies and the one guy from a coaster expedition. The person in the flannel shirt who stood next to the goofy looking kid with the crazy brush haircut and hoodie with short sleeves and girlfriend who was bouncing around outa sheer boredom, please message me. Also that dude who was seen with that chick, it was all 4 of us at about 4pmish? i would really like to know who you fellows and lassie are! that was seriously the most fun ive had looking at a diarama, it was like TPR: the live event! Few things i need to add 1. did viper seem dog slow this time around? I'm so use to her being more out of control than that. 2. http://www.kicentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21273&hl=kentucky%20kingdom&st=0 is that the chang track? I know it's just developing but i figure i'd post it here. 3. did the whole park just in general seem friendlier? I know its the begining of the season when everyone is stoked, but still i was taken back at how the park had a bit more of a small park feel to it with everyone saying hey. 4. anyone else notice now during their spiels they also do in park ads for other rides? "thank you for riding superman, please also go check out the dark night" stuff like that 5. If i would have known tpr people were so friendly, i would have joined up to this site a long time ago. Seriously that convo we all had around the diarama was like a group of old friends, and i HIGHLY doubt anyone knows who i am. im a mysterious person like that.

Kinda in the same catagory, say you have a child whos over 36 inches but he can't quite sit up under his own will power (he's only 5 months old). is that good enough to ride in say wiggles world?

^^ From the top of my head, I don't know of any theme parks that don't allow them, but i'd always check first. At Lincolins tomb we werent allowed to. Also at the Museum of Science and Industry it says you can't. from their website: I'd always just call customer relations first and get permission. Better than draggin a tripod with just to find out you cant use it.

When i saw the overview park, it hought it was just going to be some type of advanced ghetto fair. Slap me with a tuna for thinkin like that. It's amazing how much cool stuff they have built in there. That and all the copyright infringement... well blatant copyright rip-offs.

Question, if you are trying to get permisson, who is the person to ask? Like lets say I wanted to get POV of the new coaster "Whipper Snapper" at Six Flags Wally World (it got bought out after those pesky terrorists showed up and demanded to ride.) Would it be better to ask the Ride Op for permission, Customer Service/Guest Relations, Park Manager Roy Walley or SF Corporate?

I must add to this, even though it's kinda late. A lot of places won't let you use a monopod/tripod without prior authorization. You may want to check the rule book/call ahead first.

Official Windows 7 Discussion
squirrelnut1416 replied to andyuk200523's topic in Random, Random, Random
Honestly, I've had less problems with Win7 then I have with any other win based OS... except for maybe 3.1 Win95 wasn't that bad, but it really drilled into your head what a BSoD is. Win98 made it better and offered a lot more functionality (the quick launch comes to mind), but it could just be my inexperiences with operating systems at that point. Hell i was 14 and using AOL at that point. That was also when I downloaded everything and used Nortons *shudder* WinME had so many great features that was incorperated into Xp and refined. It had a dedicated video viewer instead of I.E. displaying everything. Now xp is when it gets confusing. Xp sucked when it first came out, it really didn't get too stable until sp2 from my experiences. One major difference though is Xp was built on the NT kernal where as win 98 was still running on the old 98 kernal? i forgot what it was called. I know that 95 was pretty much just a GUI interface for DOS. Anyways, When vista came out, it was a brand new kernel again. This time though the kernel wasnt refined through Windows 2000/windows nt like it was for XP so it was the poor child trying to play catchup. Plus vista was a resource hog, I don't care what anyone says, Win7 really slimmed it down. Now I am a faithful win7 user and recommend it to everyone... with a moderatly powered pc. Xp as of sp3 is about as stable as one can get. Win7 though has all the advanced functionalities that come at a price. That price being the need to iron out details. I'm in robbs case though. I use my pc for everything all at once. As im typing this i have adobe premiere pro running while downloading the beach boys tv movie while watching a coaster video while syncing my zune while having aim, yahoo, msn, skype, xfire, wootalizer, google talk, hamatchi, firefox and whatever else i got running. Sure my computer takes about 15 mintues to boot up, but on my barebones laptop i use as a media pc, it boost from post to desktop in about 2 minutes, incluing the time it takes for me to log in. Alot of the problems though stemms from people doing upgrade installs as opposed to fresh installs/custom installs. It's always better to start with a clean slate when upgrading an operating system, especially Ubuntu, then try to pave over the old crap. -

Sox crushed today 11-1. Maybe we wont suck so bad. I'm so impressed with Peavy and his style. It's going to be a fight between him and Burhle for most kickass pitcher this year. Although the big man Bobby Jenks will always be my favorite closer. -
So as the opening day for SFGAm fast approaches, I've been trying to school my girlfriend on coasters and theme parks in general. In a few short weeks she went from "wait there's like competition for coasters? AND WEBSITES?!?!?!" to "OMG I love those coaster expedition videos. I can't wait to get some Arrow credits!" She can even tell some coasters apart by there track/support system. But that's just the back story. One night I was telling her about Son of Beast and all of the problems that it had (and still has). The next day she calls me up and the first thing she said was "I had a dream about Robb!" I'm like uh... Robb? From TPR? "Yeah that Robb! I was at some random theme park and I had to ride the "Coaster of Death". It was a wood loopin one. It was called the Coaster of Death cause everyone else who rode it died. I had to ride it to be initiated into his gang". "His gang?" I asked. "Yeah his gang... TPR. So I rode the coaster of death and I didn't die and Robb was very impressed and let me be in his gang!" "You do know you could just buy a membership for like 40 bucks right?" Yes, even while talking to my girlfriend I do shameless plugs for ClubTPR. At this point normally I'd say something witty to close up, but I don't think there's much more to add to this. I figured someone would get a laugh out of this though. Except for maybe the fine people at Kings Island.

I've followed a few parks on here and they always seem to end the same way, with foreclosure. Why is that? Is it just because the creator couldn't think of a better way to end the park? Was that the plan from the beginning? Is it some way to create some type of drama/interest? Is it a way to abandon a project? I don't want to sound ungrateful for all the work the designers put into their parks, they are amazing with how detailed some people get. It just got me wondering.

Just want an opinion.

seems a bit over the place, like you tried to put a lot of track into such a small space. plus is the track length the same on both sides? -
