  1. I am going several times this season, probably closer to May.
  2. ^That's good, I would hope it would do something like that.
  3. Lol..... Wow, that sounds awful. According to the Zamperla site, Werner Stengel designed this type of ride. Isn't he with Intamin or does he independantly design rides for various companies?
  4. The most interesting thing I find with this ride is the strange lift system, very different. Never rode one of these so I was wondering how it is, but sounds (and looks) quite uncomfortable, it really whips around those turns pretty tight. I like when the car comes out of the station and pauses, then the spinning lift thing jolts it as it starts pushing it up. If you watch closely you can see it really jolts it pretty good, that's gotta hurt a little.
  5. I was bored on youtube looking up RCT3 crash videos and I came across this.... What the hell? What a creepy little coaster and a very unusual lift, never saw anything like that before. The ride's name is "The Flying Coaster" at SF Elitch Gardens in Denver. Anybody been on this thing? That lift looks questionable and please bring some oil...lol.
  6. I worked on that ride but couldn't remember, now it makes sense as it did have that Intamin feel to it.
  7. Who was the manufacturer of the Triple Wheel/Sky Whirl rides?
  8. Haha....perfect!!! "Everyone on the internet is now dumber after reading your post" Lol
  9. I agree, actually that would be kind of stupid. Link me to that page, I want to see what you are talking about so I can laugh.
  10. Yeah, maybe he was looking the other way and didn't even see it coming. But, can you imagine turning around and all of a sudden a rollercoaster train is coming right at you? Yikes!
  11. Regarding the gardener killed on Revolution, I have to wonder, if you are working under a coaster's tracks and you hear a noise, what could possibly make you think "I should stick my head up through the tracks" no that can't be dangerous? Nevermind the numerous bilingual announcements, that's just a lack of common sense. Its sad but really, wouldn't you think about that first?
  12. http://pointbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/21269.aspx What is this accident last month on Magnum they mention? Just curious. Oh yeah, can't wait to ride GL!
  13. That's exactly right, I don't recall anything about the park going down because they were removed. ...no way, He-Man..."and the masters of the universe".......lol!
  14. This is so funny, all this talk of "this ride will go here and this one will end up there" when nobody knows anything.....sometimes I get a good laugh reading this stuff.
  15. Its funny how people are jumping to conclusions when nobody really knows.
  16. I must agree with all of that, you can't expect a business (in this case CGA) th flourish if you don't invest in it and continually offer something new, and exciting. I mean seriously...WTF?
  17. When I was at the panel on Demon in '89 it was busy enough on the weekends we had to run all three trains.
  18. You know that area in the que line before the steps that is grass sort of next to the lift? At one time the que used to snake through there. It was cool riding this thing back in the day when there were no bitchy neighbors next to it.
  19. The ride originally opened as the "Turn of the Century" with bunny hills instead of the two vertical loops, no theming, and the trains were a white color with red/blue graphics. Around the early 80s is when the name changed to "Demon", the loops and theming were added, and the trains got the black makeover. Three train operation in those days too!
