You better believe it! Before I even started riding some of the other rides I watched the POV of insane and knew I'd want to ride it. Thanks for everyone's nice comments, definitely enjoying the rides now I feel the same way. I hope I can get down there this summer to try it. So now that you enjoy the rides at Magic Mountain, are you planning on visiting Cedar Point to tackle some coasters that are even taller and faster? Oh yeah, you definitely have the coaster bug now!

There are safety devices in place to prevent an arm or foot getting stuck in there I'm sure.

My understanding of the larger versions of this ride (like this one) is it is blocked and I believe there might also be a MCBR, I think on the 3rd level from the top where the car rides on top of the track, there is a straight section that looks to contain emergency/block/trim brakes. Never ridden one just going from the pics and video I've seen. If they can run multiple cars on it then it has to be blocked somehow.

When you guys say Invertigo was a maintenance nightmare, how exactly do you mean that? Wasn't that the most reliable of all the Invertigo/GIB coasters? Besides the one major breakdown the whole world knows about, what other incidents would classify it as a maintenance nightmare? Everytime I have gone to the park that ride has been open and operating unless it was going through rehab, but I have never had any problems with it and I have gone many, many times. So, what classifies it as a maintenance nightmare?

Takedown, I loved your story! Sounds like you had a fantastic time and its awesome that you are finally able to enjoy these incredible and thrilling creations. Don't worry about riding Superman or anything big or fast for that matter, if you can ride and enjoy the likes of Riddler's Revenge, Batman, Tatsu, and X2, then you can damn near ride anything! Just remember, there is nothing to fear and everything in how much fun you can have on rollercoeasters. Btw, I love Tatsu, that pretzel loop is just plain sick and flipping around on X2, OMG, SO MUCH FUN! I'm betting you can't wait to ride Green Lantern, am I right?

Isn't this a general SFMM discussion thread? Wouldn't that mean Colossus is on topic? It's not a Green Lantern thread. That's just the latest focus here lately. That is the impression I got.

Well if a flat ride goes there, I have no idea what it could be, I guess anything. But I'm hoping a coaster goes there, maybe an Intamin Zacspin or some kind of insane Eurofighter coaster..........something good. Otherwise I have no idea what they are going to do.

Or, Intamin manufactured and sent out the missing parts because after they sent them out the first time they got lost! In which case you would be wrong to assume it's Intamins fault. And even if they left out a part, SO WHAT! the parts have been made and they are on the way....can't ask for anything more than that. You have to realize that not everything is perfect, things happen, parts get lost or forgotten, stuff breaks, the weather is bad, workers don't show up, deadlines are missed, etc, so is all that Intamin's fault? No, certainly not...STUFF HAPPENS and STUFF WILL HAPPEN, get over it! Since Intamin manufactured and already sent out the parts, that obviously shows they are on the ball, because, as you say, they are a world renowned coaster manufacturer, they know what they are doing. What you should be doing is thanking Intamin for doing their part to get this coaster built, I mean they could have just said "screw it, you have to wait two or three months we are in no hurry", but obviously they are completely not like that. If I was Intamin and I read your comments I would be like " Oh yeah little boy, with that attitude no coasters for you....ever!"

^Well there was a rumor of a missing part holding up construction a little, a rumor.

I hope this is the first of many Intamins to invade the mountain!

I was going to ask if they ever used the lower level up there but it looks like there is no glass in the windows. Or did they and instead of glass it was open with some kind of screens? Or, was that level built into to it with the intention of using it but they never did?

That line in the video looks like it could easily be 4 to 5 hours or more. Wow, imagine that in the hot sun, bored to death, then finally getting on the ride only to be so burned out you don't really enjoy it that much.

Don't think the stadium will happen and I don't think they have given up.

That's fine for SIX FLAGS Great America, but this is California's (Cedar Fair) Great America so that offer is not valid here as it is not a Six Flags park. But, Discovery Kingdom to the north is a Six Flags park so maybe it will work there?

Hadn't it been already mentioned that the park had no plans to ever get it going again and the reason it had not been completely removed already was due to the cost involved?
