Building this was most definitely NOT the wrong decision...... the only wrong decision that was made was an office building being built next to a themepark. The 'noise' this wood coaster generates is not just from the coaster itself, you also have to take into consideration the screaming riders, which can be very loud. Screaming riders can be on any coaster so steel or not if they were to build in that area again, unless P or whoever is making this complaint goes away, this will probably have to be dealt with again. But it should be easier the second time since they can use GS as an example of what they may have to do. And I keep saying this but it will be very interesting to see what comes of all of this once the stadium opens.

Next these idiots will complain about the traffic noise on GA Prkwy, which has been there forever, and force the city to enclose it in sound walls. Why don't they (poodential) enclose their dumpy building in a sound proof enclosure instead of the park having to do anything. You know if you can hear cheering fans from the stadium then this whole issue is mute and should be thrown out.... what are they gonna do at that point, force the 49ers/city to put sound walls around the stadium..... where does it end? I'll tell you, when these morons go away! Well if it comes down to sound walling the stadium vs. Prud. guess who is going to get told to get the Eff out? I'll give you a hint..... it starts with a p. Maybe that's what needs to happen to finally get rid of this infection. I think everyone knows you can't hear this ride at all in their offices and that this is just a ridiculous frivolous legal tactic.

There could be other logistics in play here causing the delay such as revamping the surrounding area and shops, or they could just be lagging for whatever reason. Doesn't really matter anyway, its already delayed and there is no changing that. I do think its a little ironic that a ride as short as this is taking this long but I don't build coasters so I can only comment on what I see. I am going down there in two weeks and was hoping it would be open by then but since its not and there's nothing I can say or do to change that there is no point in bashing the park, as it seems to make no difference. I'll just have to wait till its finally open to ride it.

Sure looks like it, which is unfortunate. The only thing I've seen about Gold Striker is a quick mention of it "launching soon" in the current tv commercial, and I saw that yesterday so who knows. Actually I think at least one of the neighbors has left. A couple of weeks ago I drove by the office building next to the MF turn and it was completely empty (yay?). I don't know what it is they have left to do before being able to open it but it's a shame it's not opening yet. Seems like all the other new coasters have opened already and this is one of if not the last one to open.

This isn't true at all! Are you suggesting I don't know how to ride a roller coaster???? Maybe it's just that I've been on 1,500 different coasters, and have been on some of the best rides in the world, and X2 in "BEATINGTHESHITOUTOFYOU" mode doesn't stack up. I can see where someone who has been on 50 coasters, and X2 probably being one of them might grade the ride better, but trust me on this, when it's running badly, it's one of the roughest coasters in the world. And it doesn't matter if you keep your head back or not. Don't feed me that line of BS. I'm not feeding you anything Robb I'm simply stating what I said. I wasn't questioning what you have ridden, your experience, or any of that. And actually I was responding to a previous post. I was not trying to offend you or anything so I don't feel I deserved that. Everytime I have ridden it if I did not keep my head back I got bashed around badly, so for me it is true. Obviously you have been on hundreds/thousands probably more coasters than I have, I was not suggesting you don't know how to ride at all, I never even said that. I cannot question the experience of someone who has done something many, many more times- all over the world, more that I have.
