  1. As stated above, this is a great move for Carowinds, as it will bring in the masses of gp wanting to ride the "tallest ride in the southeast," (or however they decide to market that). I am glad that Carowinds is adding another ride, and while I was wishing it would be a Giant Frisbee, Windseeker is better than nothing, and Dinosaurs Alive.
  2. Quoted for truth! They are far and away my favorite band right now!!!
  3. ^Well I could imagine the capacity on them is not the best since their trains are half the size of most of Intamin's hypercoasters. I do not know how many trains they run though.
  4. ^I happen to love all the Six Flags Floorless coasters. Sure they aren't the MOST forceful, but I think The Dark Knight packs a punch for its size. The only floorless that I haven't enjoyed is Hydra at Dorney Park....well this thread has gotten off-topic...hmm.... Dorney Park --> Kings Island...
  5. I would say Wicked Twister at CP would be the most forceful LIM launch I've been on.
  6. ^It's a shame it is no longer in the Six Flags chain. SFNE would love to have ROS to compliment our dueling boomerangs and Bizarro!
  7. ^Agreed it is abysmal! that being said, it has served its purpose, and now that a bigger better version of it is being installed right next to it, they should probably get rid of it. It will serve no purpose at the park, but we will have to see if people still line up to ride it next season.
  8. I didn't know that someone from GCI had built this. How awesome!
  9. That model is impressive to look at. If the ride ends up looking quite similar to the model, then Europa Park has built one of the most highly themed wooden coasters in the world!
  10. ^The Great Escape already has a boomerang as well, so that'd turn into the same problem. I really hope Flashback leaves shortly, I mean there is no point in keeping it anymore! Sell it to another park, or for scrap, and put a family flat ride in its place is what I say!
  11. Wonderful . Even though SFNE is my home park, I prefer the ride at Magic Mountain.
  12. Glad to see this ride so close to FINALLY opening soon! I think the added effects sound like a cool idea, as I feel the vibrations in the seats would make me quite nervous. Thank you for the review and pictures!
  13. ^^ I believe the term for 400+ is Strata, but I don't know about 500+. ^ Well said.
  14. ^I don't even think that they can guarantee THAT! If the ride is installed as shown in that picture above, Flashback will become the laughingstock of the park. Please get rid of your standard boomerang with the edition of a GIANT INVERTED boomerang. Send it to SFGAdv!
  15. This is quite unfortunate to hear. It's never fun to see a coaster have bad publicity or severe breakdowns, but having BOTH in one season does not help a ride's image.
  16. Yes the ride looks amazing and I'm so exciting to see B&M building a ride outside of what they've done before. Yes it looks similar to Behemoth, but YES it makes a trip to CW hard to resist, which is good for their attendance figures next year.
  17. Thank you TPR for giving me endless entertainment tonight! The last few pages of this thread are completely hilarious!!!
  18. ^^Sorry, when I read it and quoted it it had not been edited. I apologize for calling you out on it now Back on the topic of this ride, I too think it will be something other than a standard giga coaster, yet the standard gauge of the track rules out a regular-sized DM. Now I really cannot wait for the announcement!
  19. I'm no expert, but I'm fairly confident CW is NOT the most-attended park in North America.
  20. Untamed at Canobie Lake Park
  21. ^Wow that looks like a nice juicy clue! I guess we'll find out soon!
  22. If SFNE is getting a GIB (which I guess is a fairly reasonable thing to assume at this point), I do hope they repaint it before sticking it right in the middle of Crack-axle Canyon! I really don't want to see all brown western buildings and then a neon green GIB sitting there to greet me, but I know Six Flags Inc. has a mind of its own.
  23. With Behemoth being so new, I wonder if a similar ride would make it much less popular, or if it will only slightly reduce the wait times.
  24. This disappoints me so much! I loved the Dueling Dragons simply because they dueled. I hope Universal can figure this out quickly,as without the dueling aspect they're just...2 inverts that coincide in one space .
