It's funny to see the purple shirts (merchandise, where I work at Carowinds) at the other parks. I'm used to seeing the red/blue rides uniforms, but not the merchandise ones. Great report.

If you all want Carolina Cyclone (aka Simpsons The Arrow Experience) to replace it, be my guest. I do agree though that this isn't going to be a big seller for the park. Not in the way El Toro or Ka were.

I helped out yesterday using the single rider line. Up to 90 rides so far. Not impressive I know, but it is for me.

Chuck, I was checking on the website about the tours, can you explain to me the difference in the Paricipant roller coaster tour, and the observer? $75+ admission is kinda steep and I wanted to know what I'd be getting.

Wow, they spared no expense making a very realistic looking walking sweeper animatronic. Is the bobsled rough? It looks like it jerks around a bit. Still looks awesome though. I wish Ghost Town would build something like that (after they build a GCI off the side of the mountain).

How is that possible? The world cup is every four years, not two! Maybe they were having their own World Cup at the time.

Why in the world would you leave your credit card in your car? On Intimidator, I rode it Friday morning before the masses came in (2nd train out) the 2nd trim didn't even fire and needless to say it was an amazing ride. First trim just tapped the train. Hoping for many more rides this morning, as last Monday was dead at that park.

I remember them putting Infusion in, but had no idea it was so shoe-horned into the place!

Up to 72 rides myself on Intimidator, more to come tomorrow hopefully.

I have to say one positive thing, since there has been so much negative about the ride the past month. I'm amazed that the park has been able to keep the coaster running like they have. I thought when they started having problems, that it would result in Kingda Ka like downtime, but thankfully no.

I've been enjoying them. And you have had 1400 views, so it's not like noone is reading it.

I love old railroads and trains. One of the old Carowinds trains is out in Cali somewhere at one of those working museums. It was the one that Michael Jackson purchased, then never used because it was the wrong gague train for his ranch. I think it was called Melodia.

Simon says: Great trip reports! Love the drive in. Looks much nicer that ours in the Charlotte area. Ours are old and look like they never have been updated since 1950. Still fun though. Well they have updated the audio to let you listen through your car radio, but not much else.

Doesn't surprise me a bit though. She continued on when her husband the passed on, and I'd see her at the park picking up trash or walking around making sure people were having a good day at an age when most people her age would have been taking it easy in Florida.

This is such a shock. Will was such a nice and down-to-earth kinda person. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
