Whoa! That's pretty cool! I had never heard of this before. I wonder if people are honest and don't steal stuff though. Definitely an interesting idea! Elissa "thinking about a gps!" Alvey

SharkTums replied to CoasterCanada's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's very similar to Mummy at the Universal parks. Elissa "it's outdoor mummy!" Alvey -
Yeah, if you stay there you get a discount, there are also all kinds of coupons floating around town for like $3-$5 off the all day wristband. Elissa "I miss the wet dry slides!" Alvey

It better be an expedition ge force...if not, I don't care! Elissa "they need a steel coaster!" Alvey

New Six Flags Season Pass!

LOL! Awesome! BTW, are you and Diana going to make it to our BBQ? Elissa "Eric's a cool old man!" Alvey -
Yay Barry! Hope to see you soon! Elissa "FINALLY!" Alvey

SFMM...ugh...where to start! It's honestly a really good park, with some pretty mediocre rides, and really bad operations. It could be the Cedar Point of the West if it had good operations. A big ol' collection of all kinds of rides that you don't really need to ride more than once. Elissa "it's actually a really cool park to go to when there are less than 2000 people there!" Alvey

First onride Video of Kanonen
SharkTums replied to Shadowforce's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Intamin has pretty much always used the box or even triangle track for faster, more gforce areas of their coasters, then just the flat track for other parts. You can see them do that on the Superman: ROS rides in particular. Elissa "I asked that same question at some point!" Alvey -
Head to SoCal in less than a week!
SharkTums replied to BarryH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you go Wednesday May 4th, I can meet you there! Unfortunetly our plans changed and we will be on an airplane Sunday. Elissa "I have an xtreme pass and can get you some fastlanes with it!" Alvey -
If you look back to some of our trip reports we've outlined a lot of the problems in more specific terms but generally: Poor Staff, Poor Operations, Poor in general! Elissa "just search for some of the past knotts TR's" Alvey

1. From our house or the parking lot? It's about 1.8 miles from our apartment to the front gate, so I'm guessing at a normal pace about 25 minutes. We've never done it though. There's no sidewalk so it would be kind of unsafe. 2. I don't 'hate' knotts, I'm just pretty tired of watching the park go so down hill in the last 4 years. 3. I don't really know! It started several years ago, probably on RRC, and it just kind of stuck. 4. Aqua 5. We've done a lot with their PR Department. We even did the ACE Con video with them. They're pretty cool. We've also done some events before the park would open and they let you do cool stuff. PS - Knotts opened a long time before 2002, not quite sure what you mean by that. But we were in Knotts several times in 2002 so I'm sure you might have seen us. Elissa "done!" Alvey

In other news... "entire enthusiast community buys USH Season Passes" Seriously though this is a great idea! I know they've been testing it for a few months so hopefully all the bugs are worked out. Heck, it's worth the price on a hot day just for drinks! Elissa "looking forward to trying this out!" Alvey

Vekoma Woodies?
SharkTums replied to Coasterkid20's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was also pleasantly surprised by the Vekoma woodies! They were really great rides, comfy trains, great airtime! They did do this interesting 'leap the dips' shuffle in the turns though! Elissa "hoping they've stood the test of time!" Alvey -
NEWS: Adventure Parks Purchases Starliner
SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^They moved that Boomerang from Australia to Alabama faster than that! Elissa "stupid starliner!" Alvey -
Yeah, I think we've talked about this before in another thread. It is quite hard to believe that this is a coaster with only a 42'' height restriction! As for video, I haven't seen any, but I'm sure it's out there. We should have a video in early May! Elissa "family has a new definition I guess!" Alvey
-
I don't think so, but I'll check again in May. I'm thinking there were: China, Japan, Italy, Israel, Mexico, maybe some other Euro country... Elissa "never drank any of them!" Alvey
