Something just occurred to me. Maybe they are using the people getting hurt as an excuse to run only one side ? Save on maintenance and number of ride ops if only one side was running! This could be a cost cutting move and have nothing to do with safety.
^Yeah, it would be nice if they invested a little money to do something under the coasters. At least cover the parking strips and stain it to one color so it doesn't look like you put up the coaster on the cheap. Ok, they did do it on the cheap but really, making it look nice will go a long way for their image.
I don't remember the Haunted Hospital either when we were last there. Kind of looks like maybe they are trying to expand a little with that and the splash boats being brought back.
The thieves probably got $50 bucks for it. Why do they let recycle places even take copper cable or wire. They need to clamp down on them and the thieves wouldn't steel it. Right now the street lights are out in my area because the copper wire has been stolen.
Scream is not going anywhere. Just because it was built on a parking lot doesn't make it temporary. It all comes down to dollars. They didn't put money into themeing when it was built and they probably don't extra money to do it now. The other coasters have been getting new paint so I would look for Scream to get it in the next few years.
Aren't you supposed to stay on the tube?
That was some serious air they got there. WHen we were there last year, we didn't have enough time to make it to the water park. Maybe it's an excuse to go back to Italy next year?
You have this beautiful beach and ocean, why would you want to go to a water park? I know people do but that is not the reason I would go. I find it interesting that some people can't enjoy the beauty around them, they have to have some other form of entertainment.
