I305 is still holding down #2 in my steel top 10, and that's not going to change any time soon. I've ridden the ride in every configuration possible (pre- and post-trims, pre- and post-soft restraints), so that just shows you what I think of the ride. It's not even funny how much better it is than anything else at that park.

That was from preseason 2009 I believe, and the CP fansites were DEFINITELY freaking out hardcore over that piece of the spike missing. But, as was obviously the case, nothing noteworthy was done to the ride other than the piece being reconnected for the start of the season. People just love to freak out over the unknown. Personally, I like not knowing what's going on with this. Makes it more intriguing to see what (if anything) is going to happen.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Nope. Dick Kinzel makes every decision about every park in the chain, right down to how many ketchup packets go in the little trays at food locations. I thought that was obvious? -
When is El Toro not El Toro?

^Wow. Between the marketing travesty that was the SFOG Eurofighter and this hilarious explanation about El Toro/Boss, I'd say Six Flags' marketing department is batting a hefty .000 this fall. -

^Or what a Ferrari race car does, accelerate and then brake and go through tight turns. -

I guess SFGAd's visual scan of coaster images wasn't thorough enough. -

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

^I've never understood how 6 year olds ride Skycoasters. I was a brave little kid, but there's no way in hell I would have gotten on one of those when I was 6. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

I've heard teenagers proclaim how much better Carolina Cobra and Nighthawk are over Intimidator, and I literally have laughed in their face every time. Anyway, it doesn't upset me too much when I hear people saying idiotic things about coasters, I just laugh to myself or roll my eyes. However, if anyone ever argues with me about a certain fact about a coaster (especially people that KNOW I'm into coasters), that's when I pull the "you do realize that this stuff is my life, right?" card. Eventually they shut up and take my word for it. I have learned how to explain coasters to GP people. Name its color, whether or not it goes upside down, what part of the park it's in (if they know the park well), and if it has a gimmick like "hanging from the track," being a stand up, or "laying down." After that, any specific information goes right over their heads.
