  1. ^Dig a hole, fill it with water, and you have your ocean/lake/whatever!
  2. ^^Leviathan is 100% going to be the name of this ride. I already knew it was going to be used for a giant B&M project in the Cedar Fair chain of parks, and this matches up perfectly with what we've seen. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly eat crow, but I'm going to go ahead and say the name is Leviathan. EDIT: Anyone else notice how far above Windseeker the shadow of the Leviathan is? Could that be a clue as to how high the ride will be on the skyline?
  3. ^If that happened, I would need a ventilator to recover from the laughter. Oldest B&M in history and a used boomerang in back to back years for SFA's "new" coasters.
  4. ^Agreed, but I think a bigger part of the reason is also that they are using the Paddlewheel station as the entrance for the exhibit. Which also begs the question, "Why not make the entrance somewhere else?" To which I would answer, ridership on Paddlewheel has been declining steadily for a while now, it's just time to retire the ride, and this was a convenient excuse for them to do so. We just need somewhere else to get our corny jokes at CP from now on.
  5. ^Precisely! This is just some random Google image result of a Leviathan, THIS IS NOTHING OFFICIAL! As I've been saying the last few days, I think we have our coaster name.
  6. ^^^Tallest coaster in Canada is a record it can break. It could be a Leviathan.
  7. If it does turn out to be a giga, I'm really interested in seeing what B&M does to make the ride experience different than Behemoth. Because honestly, it would make absolutely no sense to build a giga with nothing but airtime hills when they already have Behemoth. I've actually heard rumblings that the track length is going to be somewhere in the mid-3000 to mid-4000 foot range (for you that use metrics, that's approx. 1050-1330 meters), so if that's the case, then that means it's probably launched or very low to the ground for most of the circuit. We'll find out in two days regardless, just something to chew on.
  8. I strongly agree with this, but I haven't ridden Expedition Everest yet, so Deja Vu is the best Vekoma I've ridden. I realize that isn't saying much, but it really is a good ride when it works.
  9. ^^Because it's Six Flags, and they only added two coasters, one of them being actually new. Don't try to justify in your head anything that Six Flags does, you'll just give yourself a headache (much similar to the 8,000 Vekomas they've purchased over the years).
  10. So SFMM makes such a big deal about having the most coasters anywhere, and then they go right back into a tie for first just a few months later? Just like when they still counted Flashback as one of their coasters even though it was SBNO for years. Six Flags is so bad you can't help but love it. The William Hung of theme park chains.
  11. ^Yeah that's what I meant, although I'm not sure if they're going to use the floating bridge or build a more permanent connection to the island.
  12. ^^More pictures will come in good time, my friend. ^Yes, post-trip depression is the worst. Thankfully I've been working like a madman since the trip ended, so that's helped me with all of that. And doing these reports will certainly help.
  13. ^Paddlewheel is going to be taken out next year because of Dinosaurs Alive. They need to build a land bridge to get to the island (much like they've done with Terror Island for Halloweekends), so it'll be impossible for Paddlewheel to do its thing anymore. From what I've been told, the entrance to Dinosaurs Alive will also be where the Paddlewheel station is now. Pretty sad, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
  14. ^Of course I'm being a d***, because complaining about concept art is idiotic. And do some research on this very forum, people were bitching about 305's layout and restraints from the day it was announced. Sure, there were people that were excited, but there were most definitely complainers. I'm really not going to continue this, teenagers on TPR have thicker skulls than Cro-Magnons, and apparently similar brain function, as well.
  15. ^I'm actually not getting defensive at all. It doesn't matter what ride it is or where it's built, wait till you ride it before judging it. People were inexplicably disappointed with 305's layout, yet just about everyone loves it. People were all jacked up for Thirteen at Alton Towers, and it turns out the ride apparently isn't that great. I haven't formulated an opinion at all yet for Verbolten, simply because *gasp* nothing has been officially released. Concept art is EXTREMELY vague, and if you look back through the years, coasters often times end up being quite different than what the concept artist had imagined. What I've seen so far is exactly what I would expect out of Busch as far as theming goes (as long as the concept art is somewhat accurate). As far as the ride is concerned, we don't know for sure what happens in the building, and we won't know perhaps until people start riding it. Because if rumors are accurate, a lot of wicked stuff is going to be happening in the building (much like the Mummy coasters, which don't have exciting layouts until you put them in the dark with crazy special effects). I bet I'll have a completely informed and accurate opinion of my own sometime next year after I ride it, though. Funny how that works.
  16. First in line, I should change my user name to fatdaddy. And this trip report still owns. Carry on, sir.
  17. ^Yeah, after consulting the Greek God Googlethela, I'm pretty sure that's the name. Even though Row Boat Lake has a nice ring to it.
  18. I'm simply saying that being disappointed in a ride because of leaked concept art is pretty silly. Nobody would think that Wooden Warrior would be some balls to the wall crazy coaster because it's only 35 feet tall, but it was probably the most universally praised coaster of the Northeast trip besides Boulder Dash. Hell, more people had negative things to say about Bizarro than they did about a 35-foot family wooden coaster. Don't judge a book by it's cover, it's a pretty ignorant way to go through life.
  19. ^Hmmmm......never saw those before, considering I was the one that brought them to this forum from BGWFans who knows how many months ago. If BGW hadn't asked Robb to remove them, I'd link you to the post. But, that being said........ How about you wait till 1. it's announced 2. it's built 3. it's open and 4. you ride it before saying how disappointed you are?

  21. My secret is out! And I love the file name.
  22. ^I like your thinking, Neil. Maybe the KoD will have a road show one day.
  23. ^Thanks, Piers! The full size version of that panorama is stunning, but unfortunately I can't post that here.
