  1. I really hope SFNE is getting rid of the regular boomerang soon, cause that's just hilarious.
  2. Allow me to put on my conspiracy theory tin foil hat. I haven't seen a drop length listed yet. We know the first hill is 306' tall, but they haven't told us the drop length. It drops into a trench, and it looks like there's no elevation change in the terrain. Could this be a longer drop than 300' and CF doesn't want us to know? You would think that the drop length is something they would want to advertise, but not if it upstaged MF. If it's a longer drop than 300', then it probably also goes faster than 92 mph. CF surprised me by saying 305 was the fastest gravity-driven coaster last year (even though they haven't reclaimed it since taking the trims off), would they do it next year with Leviathan? Ok, tin foil hat has been removed.
  3. I'll personally figure out which of the "big three" coasters is going to be best next year. I'm very excited both for SkyRush and Leviathan, and also still very intrigued to see what goes in at Dollywood. Too bad the world is going to end next year, coaster engineering is evolving so nicely right now!
  4. Dammit. I might have to wait till Monday to do this.
  5. I love the name, REALLY love the logo, love the colors, and love the fact that B&M is jumping in the deep end for the first time in a VERY long time. It's a 300-foot coaster, so it's more than likely going to be a very good ride. It also signals that a trend might be starting with giga coasters, and that's a trend I can fully support! However, I'm on the same boat as the people who are dumbfounded by the decision making process on where this coaster was sent. It's entirely possible it was meant for somewhere else like Knott's, but I guess we'll never know. Either way, I'll be there when it opens next year, I'm pretty eager to try this one out.
  6. ^That sound you hear is 305 fanboys wiping away the tears.
  7. ^^Advertised ride times are always a lot longer than the actual ride time. It usually includes lift and break run time.
  8. ^That's why they said ONE OF. Reading comprehension.
  9. I'm excited to try out B&M's first take on the giga concept, but it's definitely an odd layout. And it cracks me up that CF still didn't go over 310.
  10. ^Well then it's good that they're building a bridge in the park next year so "thrill seekers" can get over it.
  11. A B&M version of 305 wouldn't be too bad. Not a clone, just a similar type ride layout and experience.
  12. I wouldn't look into it that closely, the chain return might have been omitted from the image. But I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of alternate lift style other than a chain.
  13. I got stopped on the MCBR of Voyage for about 20 minutes back in 2007. A couple times during Maverick's opening year I got "stuck" for a few minutes while the ride reset itself. The first and only time I rode HRRR, I got stuck in the station for about 10 minutes and they couldn't even release the restraints (which sucked because I had gotten stapled during the ride). Those are the only ones that come to mind.
  14. The only thing I found odd were the old hyper trains with 8 rows on them. All of the old hyper trains had 9 rows. Other than that, I have no opinion.
  15. Just remember where you heard Leviathan first. So I guess I was wrong about it not being a lift hill, but that was just pure speculation. I'm just eager as hell to find out what exactly this ride will do.
  16. ^^Since you haven't read the thread, I can tell you that the name had already been figured out, but that site has just been discovered.
  17. I'm still thinking a launch of some kind. That's just my hunch, it's not anything I've been told (well, other than the possibility that it won't be a very long ride). A lift hill and drop on a giga take up enormous amounts of track length, and even the "short" giga (305) is still 5,100 feet long, largely in part to the massive lift hill and drop. The number range I was told is nowhere even near 305's length. But I will say that what I was told wasn't as rock solid as the other stuff. So, once again, we'll see. But I don't expect a traditional lift.
  18. Thanks for the comments, guys! If you're lucky, the next report might make it up sometime in the next few days. I would do it tomorrow, but the whole Canada's Wonderland announcement will be the news of the day and nobody will read my poor little report.
  19. ^^Fairly certain is has the highest attendance of all the seasonal parks in North America, but obviously it doesn't get more attendance than the year-round parks.
  20. ^That could also very well be what it is. It would be interesting to me to see what type of pull out the first drop would have going into the next element, seeing how it would be pushing 100 mph. However, a couple things that point away from dive machine are the size of the track and the markers that have been discovered going all the way to the parking lot. It could have the smaller dive coaster trains, making the track size smaller, and it could be some type of out and back design (which would help alleviate the ridiculous forces of a 95-100 mph drop). We'll see!
  21. ^What she said. The ride I had on it in May and then the one we had just a few weeks ago were beyond unbearable. I consider myself to be able to handle a decent amount of punishment on most coasters, but I would have taken being ejected off the Nor'easter over finishing the course.
  22. We've been over this countless times already. Money. Kings Island has been making crazy good money off the attraction. Adults with kids go to Cedar Point. Kids love dinosaurs.
  23. Just a few things. 1. B&M Giga. My God. 2. I have confirmed that it will be named Leviathan (already pretty much knew it, but I'm beyond 100% now). 3. I've also learned that it could very possibly have some type of water/splash effect (although I'm not 100% on that one). 4. Still don't know about the track length. I've heard it might be rather short-ish for a giga, which still might mean it has a launch and/or tons of flat turns. We'll find out soon enough on that one. 5. B&M Giga. My God.
  24. ^No, that was me practicing my slouching for the 76" height limit for Bizarro the next day. Even though I got to ride it, my slouching practice didn't pay off most of the time. What a horrible policy.
